clermont

Doesn’t this just give you the sense of how fast we are actually traveling on this big hunk of rock we call home? Taken at one of my favorite deserted spots in Clermont where you can take photos in the middle of the road for practically forever without anyone passing by. 28 photos stacked. Each at thirty seconds, ISO 3200, f/3,2.

Scenes from Clermont, Florida

Today I had the pleasure of shooting with Maria at Lake Louisa State Park and then we ended up exploring some dirt roads outside the park which turned out to be an awesome spot as well!

So happy that I’m finally meeting people I can connect with here in Florida. If there’s anyone out there who is in the Central Florida area and you would like to shoot with me as well, feel free to send me a message!

Millennials are so underrepresented in politics and I think it’s important for us to support each other to get elected so our generation actually has a voice so we can fight for much needed reforms like tuition free college (as well as student loan debt forgiveness), universal health care, and raising the minimum wage to something where people can actually live off of it. These are huge issues among young people but it’s very rarely brought up among those in power. I fear that if Bernie doesn’t win the nomination, the issues that he has brought up will be put back to sleep, and I don’t think that’s right for the millions of people who have fought tirelessly for years just for their hopes to be dashed.

Because of that, I’m running to be a delegate for Bernie Sanders at the Democratic National Convention, and getting elected as a delegate is a way you can really impact the current political system. I realized that we can’t sit back and wait idly by for things to change, but that we have to work for it and demand it. There is a lot wrong with our current political system, even in the Democratic Party. I think the fact that lobbyists can give large amounts to Democrats is wrong, I think the fact that we have a process which gives superdelegates as much power as thousands of voters is awful and undemocratic and must be changed. I will fight for these changes, and I hope you can fight for me as well. In order to be elected a delegate, I need Democrats who live in the purple area to come out and vote for me. The process is super quick, only 10 minutes, and you only need to be a registered Democrat from the 10th congressional district.

Voting takes place on May 7 at the Clermont Arts and Recreation Center (3700 S. Highway 27, Clermont, FL 34711) and if you can find a way to vote for me so our voice can be heard louder; please, please, please find a way! I need as much support as I can get and if you know any Democrats who live by there (Orlando, Clermont, Leesburg, Winter Haven, Disney-area) then please send this to them!

If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to message me on here.

My name is Jacob Tiver and I’m running to be a delegate for Bernie Sanders! :D
