clearly the best character

anonymous asked:

Personally I don't want brandon and callie to get together again because each time they do there charcters go downhill for awhile . I guess that's just me but I'll rather have them see other people then go though people blaming them again.

Totally respect that opinion! I do disagree though, I think their characters are pretty clearly written to be the best versions of themselves when they have one another in their lives.

Obviously I hate the idea that their reuniting may cause more conflict within the family and hey, maybe it IS “too late” like Brandon said. I just think they are happiest and at their best when they are together. And to allow them to be together without having to keep it a secret? I think their characters could soar.

But that’s just my opinion and I honestly see your perspective as well.

Don’t look back. Just look at me”

I just caught up on OUAT and I desperately want Belle to kill the Black Fairy. I want Belle to protect Rumple & Gideon a la Molly Weasley with a “Not my family you bitch!” & then stab the BF in the face with that sword like Eowyn did the Witch King.

Belle deserves the chance to protect her son and fight alongside her husband. Belle, Rumple, and Gideon all deserve a win. I don’t care if Emma is the savior. I have zero interest in watching the “heroes” get all the credit like usual.

I know I said this last season but grimmons is going to be confirmed by the end of season 15

The Reason She Sleeps In Class

for @miraculousfluffmonth day 2- Goodnight Kisses

It was late. He had come in hours ago, already tired. Dropped his transformation and flopped onto her bed. He didn’t even check to see if there were people in her room, that’s how tired he was. His father had him go from school, to fencing, and then to back to back photoshoots. He just dropped onto her bed and was out like a light.

If Marinette had not been in the room, she never would have known he was even there.

With a soft smile, she walked over to him. “My sleepy little model.”

She shifted him so that she could lift the blanket on her bed. She then proceeded to roll him under the blanket and tuck him in. She placed a kiss to his forehead. “Goodnight.”

As she pulled away and stood up, he reached out and grabbed her arm. “Mari…”

“But you couldn’t help me tuck you on…”

“Tired…” He pulled at her. “Stay.”

She pulled away from him. “I can’t. I have to finish my homework.”

He shook his head. “No. I’ll do it for you before I go, just sleep now.”

She sighed. “Fine… But you better do it too, my grades aren’t suffering just because you wanted to be cuddled.”

He nodded as she slipped into the bed with him. “You’re lucky I love you.”

He pulled her closer. “The luckiest.”

He woke up hours later, no longer tired. He poked Marinette. “Mari?” He whispered.

“Go to sleep.”

“But Mari…”

She reached over and kissed him on the forehead. “Sleep Adrien.”

He pouted “But you missed.”

She sighed and kissed his nose. “No more. Sleep.”

He frowned, but he knew by her tone that she was serious. He decided that he was too.

He began to fidget.

He itched and twitched and moved while she tried to sleep.

“Stop moving.” She whined.

“I can’t sleep.”

“Why not?”

He smirked. “My girlfriend won’t kiss me goodnight.”

She was quiet as he waited for her response. He wondered if she would finally do it, when he felt a hand on his arm.

Did she just?

“Did you just hit me?” He rubbed his stinging arm.

“Yes. Now go to sleep.”

He sat up, offended. “I’m afraid I can’t.”

“You’ve wounded not only my skin, but my honor as well.”

“Oh, so now you’re Prince Zuko? I’m too tired.”

“And now you’ve offended the best character ever created. You must pay!”

Before she could understand what he was saying, he began to tickle her.

She shrieked. “ADRIEN NO!” her giggles filled the room.

“Say sorry and I’ll stop. And you have to promise to give me a proper goodnight kiss. Only then will I stop.”

She spoke between laughs. “Why… would I… say sorry to… an over… glorified… hot pocket?”

He gasped and his tickles became more vicious. “How dare you?” He loved Zuko because he could relate to him the most, Absent mother, unloving father, a group of friends who used to dislike him, someone close to him that doesn’t understand him and hates his friends (Oops, too sad for this short fic), but he knew Mari was joking.

Doesn’t mean he has to let up.

“Say sorry, Beautiful.”

“Never!” With a random burst of energy came her defense.

Soon, they were both tickling each other.

“Adrien, stop! I want to go to sleep!”

“Surrender to the terms then!”

And on it went

“How do her parents not know? They’re so loud!”

Tikki giggled. “They know, they just think they’re cute.”

The cat kwami was confused. “How do you know?”

“I’m not always in her room, Plagg. Sometimes she needs privacy. Sometimes I need more cookies.”

“So you just roam around whenever you want?”

She side eyed him. “Are you saying that you don’t?

“It’s different, Adrien’s house is huge but empty. I can go through 20 rooms, not repeat a room, and still never run into anyone other than Adrien. If you go into 5, you’ve run into the whole family.”

“Whatever, Plagg.”

He smiled. He knew he was right. “It’s weird how you’re supposed to be the good luck, but I’m the one who’s always right.”

“Shhh. Your chosen is trying to sleep.”

“She’s having a tickle fight…”

“About trying to sleep.”

“No, look!”

Marinette grinned. She had flipped their positions so she was the one looking down at him. “Pinned ya.”

He pushed up against her hands. “You’re still not going to sleep until my demands have been met.”

She pouted. “You’d really keep me from sleeping?”

“Aaahhh! Not the Big Eyes. Mari, stop.”

“Then let me sleep.”

“No! I must be strong.” He closed his eyes so he couldn’t see her face. “For Zuko!” He found some strength and flipped them over.

“I’m starting to think you like him more than you love me. Besides, Katara is clearly the best character. She’s the only one who doesn’t let her emotions rule her. She does what she needs to do, not what she wants. No matter how much it hurts her.”

“Mhmm. Well, you can be the Katara to my Zuko. A perfect match.”

She stared up at him, wide eyed, and whispered, “Zutara Shipper! The unholiest of ships. I cannot believe…”

He stopped and got off of her. “You just dissed my OTP. Mari how could you? I thought you loved me!”

She just looked at him. “Adrien come back to bed.”

“No. I’m hurting.”

“… I’m sorry.”

She sighed. “I’m sorry for insulting your OTP, I know it was wrong and I won’t do it again, I promise, just come to bed.”

He slowly got back into the bed. “Still not going to sleep.”

“Adrien please? I’m tired…”

“Do it.”

“I’m sorry for insulting Zuko. I know how you love him.”

He smiled and laid back down. She curled herself around him.

He looked at her, hair loose and falling into her face. She looked so beautiful he didn’t know what to do. So he told her.

She blushed. “Shut up and go to sleep.”

“Will you ever let me be the big spoon?”

“You’re a few years too late for that, cutie. Besides, you like being held.”

“Are you going to let me go to sleep now?”

He pretended to think. “You still didn’t meet one of my demands. I want a proper goodnight kiss. I can’t sleep without it, and neither will you.” A loud yawn escaped him, and she knew he was going to be asleep within 10 minutes whether she kissed him or not.

Doesn’t mean she didn’t want to do it anyways.

She giggled and kissed him gently, before pulling back. “That’s all you get. Goodnight.”

“Goodnight, Beautiful.”

Any advice for writing insane characters?

First and foremost, do your research. Insanity is not confined to one set of traits – it can manifest itself in many different ways. In fact, insanity is a vague term and is hard to define, unless you mean that your character’s mind is completely gone, as in they have lost all rational mental facilities and can no longer function (although even that can have some base rules and limitations). There are some disorders that could cause irrational thoughts or actions, such as:

: this is defined as “an abnormal condition of the mind that results in a loss of contact with reality”. People with psychosis may experience personality changes and thought disorder. This disorder can cause unusual or bizarre behavior, as well as difficulty with social interaction and impairment in carrying out daily life activities.

: “a personality disorder characterized by persistent antisocial behavior, impaired empathy or remorse, and bold, disinhibited, egotistical traits”. Symptoms include “superficial charm and glibness, inflated sense of self-worth, constant need for stimulation, lying pathologically, conning others or being manipulative, lack of remorse or guilt, shallow emotions, callousness or lack of empathy, using others (a parasitic lifestyle), poor control over behavior, promiscuous sexual behavior, behavioral problems early in life, lack of realistic long-term goals, being impulsive, being irresponsible, blaming others and refusing to accept responsibility for actions, having several marital relationships, delinquency when young, revocation of conditional release, and criminal acts in several realms (criminal versatility)” (

). Psychopathy is a popular choice as a trait of villains, due to its egotistical nature and its characteristic lack of empathy or emotion.

: contrary to belief, sociopathy is not the same as psychopathy (although the two are very similar). Sociopathy, which is also called “antisocial personality disorder”, is defined as “a mental condition in which a person has a long-term pattern of manipulating, exploiting or violating the rights of others”. Symptoms include “a disregard for right and wrong, persistent lying or deceit to exploit others, being callous, cynical and disrespecting others, and using charm and wit to manipulate others for personal gain”. Genetic factors and abusive households are thought to contribute to the development of sociopathy.

The main differences between psychopathy and sociopathy are that psychopaths tend to be born, while sociopaths tend to be made; both have a tendency to break the law, but psychopaths will minimize risk to themselves and plan ahead while sociopaths will act under impulse with little to no thought for consequences; psychopaths can hold a steady job and function in society while sociopaths usually cannot. (source)

From personal experience (what I’ve read and heard), I define insanity as a whole as “a loss of reason” or “a blurring of the lines between right and wrong”. A person may have an underlying condition for a long period of time (as one of the above) and never show serious signs, only to have an event or a series of events push them over the edge. For example, in Stephen King’s book It, Henry Bowers (one of the antagonists) is a fourteen year old boy who grows up with his father on a farm on the outskirts of a small town by the name of Derry, Maine. His father fought in World War II and returned with trauma and some kind of mental disorder (it’s unclear what disorder), which checks off the “bad home environment” requirement on the list of symptoms of sociopathy; Bowers is the school bully and terrorizes the younger kids, which shows “violating the rights of others”. In the summer of 1958, he especially takes after a group of seven kids (the main protagonists of the novel), and throughout the storyline they continue to best him and his two friends (minions, really), both individually and together. That series of losses to those seven kids gradually pushes Henry to further and further lengths–first he only wants to make them cry, then he wants to beat them up, then he wants to land them in the hospital (and he breaks one of the kid’s arms, but that still isn’t enough), and finally he decides to kill them all. (*SPOILER ALERT!*) He kills his father, then goes after the kids, and by that point he is definitely clinically insane. (I would totally recommend reading this book – not only is it a great read, but Henry Bowers is one of the best, least cliché, most clearly-written cases of insanity in a character I’ve ever read, hence why I’ve used him as an example.)

I would say his insanity is characterized by his inability to reason with himself (or listen to the reason of others) and decide when enough is enough, or what is truly important. His friends become worried about the lengths he is willing to go over something as simple as a few kids not being afraid of him, but they say nothing – they’re afraid to contradict or correct him, because he has lost all reason. If you want to write an insane character, I believe that the loss of reason is at the root of most (if not all) insanity, temporary or otherwise.

Sorry, this was very long-winded, but this topic fascinates me. I hope this was helpful! If something wasn’t clear or you need more assistance, please feel free to shoot me another ask! - @authors-haven

Some Prompts For Fics With Characters on the Asexual Spectrum:
  • Character A is an asexual and not interested in having sex, but they’re also a romance/erotica writer and often full of questions for Character B that are way too frank and detailed to ask in a proper company.
  • Character A is asexual, but not sex-repulsed. They were mostly indifferent towards sex for the longest time, but now that they have a steady partner they really like, they’ve made a list of sexual things they’re curious about. Character B is both excited and terrified of how it’s going to go.
  • Character A got a bit of a reputation as the perfect spy who can seduce information out of everyone. And then they meet Character B who is completely immune and actually tries to seduce A to their side. Fun fact: Character A is Aro Ace. Funnier fact: So is Character B. #EnemiesToFriends.

  • Characters B and C are in a happy romantic and sexual relationship. Character A is aroace and their best friend. They think they’re already pretty close, but then Character A and B go on a mission/quest that ends with the grateful aliens/witches/etc. providing them with a child that is biologically speaking theirs. It takes some adjusting, but three parents are better than none.
  • Character A somehow always ends up accidentally flirting. Now they’ve done it again and by the time they realize they’ve been friendly/flirty with Character B for a while. Best tactic clearly is to now avoid them forever. Oddly enough they run into each other on a pride parade and apparently the flirting was not meaningful on either of sides.
  • Demisexual Character A considered themselves asexual for the longest time. Now they’re in a steady relationship with the person they’re crazy about and the sexual attraction starts to slip in. They’re pretty confused and wonder how to bring that up with their SO.

(I’ve done and reblogged prompts of this nature before and I thought I will go back to it, it’s fun! :))

Reasons why UtaPri S4 Episode 6 couldn’t get any better-

So I posted a huge rant not long ago about how I wanted to see more of Haruka Nanami and why I wanted to see her. (You’ll find it here

The latest episode has fulfilled all my dreams and not for a single moment did I feel disappointed! That’s a first since this season started.

Now coming back to why this episode was SO DAMN AMAZING AND BEST SO FAR:

Ren’s Character Development

I see a lot of people complaining about Ren being too serious in the latest episode. Yes I was expecting the usual flirtatious Ren Jinguji myself too. But hey, aren’t y’all Ren fangirls happy to see this new side of him? The side that shows how jealous and protective Ren can get once he is serious? The side that comes out only when something important and precious to him is at stake? At the beginning of the episode we see a very uptight Ren, almost as if we’re looking at Tokiya Ichinose. I was a bit surprised but then again if we put ourselves in his shoes, he had great expectations of Van who is not only a member of THE HEAVENS but also gonna be his duet partner. Anyone would be taken aback by that relaxed attitude. Ren clearly saw Van as a slacker and the fact that Van is a member of STARISH’s biggest rival HEAVENS, didn’t help with his hesitation. He was confused but before he could sort out his thoughts Van literally throws himself at Haruka - THE WOMAN REN IS IN LOVE WITH - Of course Ren would get mad/confused/desperate to prove himself. I do think Van went just a bit overboard but then again this is only the first episode we saw with him, we can’t judge him or his character only based on first impressions.

Anyways, to understand Ren’s character development in this episode more here are some screenshots -

Masato’s comment tells us all over again how the usual Ren is. He is the type of guy who can do anything and everything while still managing to remain calm and flirty. But looking back at Ren’s episode from Season 2 - that’s not true. This man works so damn hard to reach his goals, to get a job done. He is not a double of Camus lol. He dedicates himself to his job completely, regardless of his feelings. In this episode we just got a deeper view of that side of Ren. This man is not just a flirtatious guy full of cheap lines. He is a hard working, serious, dedicated, sometimes desperate, protective, jealous, understanding, forgiving and determined person. He is not Mr. Perfect and no one knows it better than himself.

Just look at the determination clearly visible in his eyes. For me, this is the biggest and best character development Ren could get. Of course I’d be sad if he loses his flirtatious charm along the process but judging from the duet mv in the end, that’s not gonna happen lol. So rest easy y’all fangirls.

More screentime for my queen Haruka Nanami

Again I see a lot of complaints about this one too. But let me remind y’all again. She. Is. The. Main. Heroine. Of. This. Reverse. Harem. Show! And how could you not love this woman?

She’s also the one who caught up on Van’s definition for a good duet song when even Ren couldn’t.

She’s the Queen and her dedication and love for music is one of the best and most beautiful traits of her character. It’s exactly why so many guys are after her. They’re charmed by her kindness/determination/warmth. Not even Eiichi can resist that charm lol.

This woman deserves more screentime and she has a good solid reason for that too. She is the main heroine who legit is the reason for the existence of this whole series and characters.

Van Kiryuin

Based on this episode, My image of Van is that, he is the type of character who’s always relaxed no matter what the circumstances. I won’t call him Mr. Perfect but he certainly is close to one judging from how his personality changes completely when he’s serious. He is the kinda man who believes in being honest to oneself. His smile doesn’t have an ulterior motive, nor is he someone who will stab you in the back. He is a sincere and genuine guy who will come out with his feelings without caring about the results.

He is determined and will work hard to get something he wants but he also has the courage to let go if the results aren’t in his favor. He is a flirtatious guy but not a fuckboy who likes to mess around for nothing. You don’t see that kinda characters around often. This is probably his biggest charm, something that drew me in. And I don’t regret admitting that he is my second most fav HEAVENS character so far, first being Eiji.

I mean look at that head pat. It not only shows his affection towards Haruka but also the respect he feels for her as an artist. Not everyone in his position can be so honest about what they feel.

Both Ren and Van coming to terms with each others’ feelings

The ending for this episode was beautiful tbh. Even though the episode started with a solid rivalry - Ren’s anger towards Van, and Van’s goofiness despite knowing Ren’s frustration - the way they both ended up understanding and acknowledging each other was fabulous!

Best part?

It didn’t just happen with a couple punches at each other’s faces (lowkey referring to episode 4.. I can never get over the disappointment I felt after watching it) but they legit had a reason. They were able to relate to each other, because of their skills as an idol and their feelings towards Haruka. Yup this ending was the most suited for this episode.

Other Reasons

That ponytail

That kick

That face shot “You can’t buy me, I am more expensive than your rich asses”

That rivalry

That kabedon

And just when I thought this episode couldn’t get any better………..

Tell me I’m wrong and I will be sure that we can never ever be friends.

I need to vent so badly so imma just put this here to get it off my chest and you can ignore it but im really annoyed that kodaka's response to my cosplay child being unpopular was pretty much "nothin i can do" yet he was a bit upset that Maki wasn't that popular. 'Angie and Tsumugi? Nah who cares? But Maki is clearly the best character and must be respected or else I'll execute yall.'

maki harukawa is canonically boring as all hell imo. glad we can agree

Hogwarts House Anime Recommendations: Gryffindor

Okay, it’s that time again, time for the last round of Hogwarts house anime recommendations! And this time it’s Gryffindor!

other house recommendations:

As we all know, Gryffindors are always in the spotlight and are basically the most represented house, and that sort of reflects in my recommendations. It was very difficult to try and think of lesser known shows to go with, so I mainly kept to what I thought are some of the most defining Gryffindor anime despite their popularity.

Some of the key Gryffindor traits running through these anime are bravery (bordering on recklessness), selflessness, and characters that are highly fueled by their emotions.

1. Haikyuu!!

For anyone who hasn’t heard of it, Haikyuu is an awesome sports anime. Lovingly referred to as “the volleyball anime” this story focuses on the once powerful Karasuno high school volleyball team, with Hinata Shoyo as one of the new first year members of the club who wants to work to take the team to nationals. However, also on the team is his middle school “rival” (a term I use loosely considering they only played one match against each other), and the two have to learn to work together to actually make the team successful.

I actually mentioned this anime in my Hufflepuff recommendations because I believe many sports anime do fall into that house. However, I actually think Haikyuu is a good Gryffindor anime because of its inclination towards showing the characters branch out and define what it means to be brave in their own separate ways. Each character has their own way of being bold and unique in their talents and work hard to make themselves better at the sport, even if it is scary for them. I mostly see this in Kagayama, Yamaguchi’s, and Asahi’s characters, but everyone has their own demons to fight. Hinata may be the main character but this is the only sports anime where I actually remember every member of the team’s names and care just as much about the other high school teams as well. This is going to go down as a classic sports anime because it keeps you gripped on the game as well as the growth of the characters without dragging out the play time or giving the characters super human abilities that is so rampant in the genre.

2. Hunter x Hunter (2011)

Again, for those who don’t know about it, Hunter x Hunter (at least the 2011 version) is basically a standard shounen anime setup about a spunky 12 year old kid named Gon, who starts a quest to find his “missing” father. Gon’s father is a Hunter, meaning in this world, he is part of an elite group of people who basically travel around the world just doing whatever the hell they want, from being hired as bounty hunters, to catching rare animals, or pretty much anything you can think of. So in order to find his father, Gon sets out to become a Hunter too, along with his lovable, rag-tag group of misfits. But be careful, this show starts out as a typical happy-go-lucky adventure anime and turns into an extremely dark and fucked up show involving everything from organized crime and genocide to the mass extinction of the human race to weird animal hybrids.

Okay stay with me, because this is gonna be a wild ride. I can only go off of the 2011 version, but this show is straight up amazing. I promised myself several years ago that I would get around to watching it someday, and that didn’t end up happening until the English dub started airing on Toonami in 2016. After watching the first 5 episodes dubbed on television I sprinted to my computer to watch the rest of the series as fast as possible…while also catching the dubbed episodes every week. Around episode 115 or so, I realized I was going to burn through this anime…and I didn’t want it to end. So now I’m back to watching one dubbed episode a week as it comes out just so I could prolong the experience. That’s how good this anime is. So technically I haven’t finished it yet, but it’s only because I don’t want to end it….and also I had some serious issues with the pacing of the last arc.

In terms of why it fits Gryffindor so well, all you have to do is watch Gon for about 5 minutes. All of the main characters…apart from Killua…have very noble goals and want to help others in their own ways. Hisoka is also one of the best…villains?…..anti heroes?…antagonists?…. that I’ve ever seen, and he is a great mixture of discomfort and intrigue to watch every time he’s on screen. If you love the old school shounen shows, if you want to feel nostalgic for when you were a kid watching Naruto or Bleach, if you want a show with clearly defined arcs, interesting characters, and not one, but two of the best tournament arcs I’ve ever seen, then for the love of all that is good, GO WATCH THIS SHOW if you haven’t already…I know I’m pretty late to the game with this one.

3. Akatsuki no Yona (aka Yona of the Dawn)...And Arslan Senki (aka The Heroic Legend of Arslan)

It’s official, I can’t do one of these things without doing a double recommendation. But seeing as these anime fit so well together and the protagonists seem very similar, I figured I had to do both. Both of these shows focus on the sweet cinnamon rolls royalty of a kingdom trying to regain their thrones after their respective countries have been overthrown or taken down from the inside. Akatsuki no Yona deals with a young princess who is trying to bring together a group of magical dragon people in order to regain the throne and fix the problems with her country. Arslan Senki (the 2015 anime version, not the ova), is more military oriented, focusing on a young prince trying to free his country as well as his father and mother from an invading country, led by a villain wearing a silver mask…who may have more of a claim to the throne than Arslan does.

Both of these shows are very fantasy oriented and desperately need to be continued. They also both have tried and true Gryffindors as the main protagonists who only want what’s best for their people. Arslan and Yona both look at the world through very innocent eyes but have to learn the harsh realities of their kingdoms and be brave enough to overcome all obstacles with the help of their friends.

4. Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicle

This anime follows four main characters (Kurogane, Fai, Syaoran, and Sakura) as they travel through different worlds trying to find pieces of the shattered soul of Princess Sakura. This takes place in the same universe as literally every other CLAMP created work, meaning that yes, it is the same Sakura as the one in Cardcaptor Sakura….just in a different world. If you’re a fan of anything CLAMP related, you need to watch it if you haven’t already.

This show will probably mean a lot more to people who have seen/read literally every CLAMP anime/manga in existence, but I actually hadn’t seen any other CLAMP material before watching this show. I basically just knew that Cardcaptor Sakura was a thing that existed and Tsubasa involved those main characters. But this anime is what sparked my love for the universe, so you don’t really have to know anything about the CLAMP universe to enjoy the anime (the manga on the other hand is a completely different story). I have always thought that Sakura, Syaoran, and Kurogane are all good examples of Gryffindors in different ways. Kurogane is more of a protective father figure, first showing nothing but recklessness and learning to become more thought out in his plans. Sakura is a Gryffindor in the sense that she also wants to protect people and learns to be brave over time, while Syaoran’s sole purpose is protecting Sakura and can be extremely chivalrous. Anyway it’s a fun adventure show that leads into a very dark and mysterious set of OVAs that will make you go “damn I should read the manga….and also every other CLAMP manga I can get my hands on.”

5. Attack on Titan

Yes, I had to. There was no way I could leave out Attack on Titan from a Gryffindor recommendation. I’m not even going to bother with a summary, since everyone and their dog has at least heard of it. This truly is the most Gryffindor anime to ever Gryffindor. It completely embodies the idea of the house both in the actual anime and in the real world. It even has it’s own golden trio, with a bookish character, a “chosen one” character, and a character who relies mostly on instinct.

Like I said, Eren, Mikasa, and Armin are all great Gryffindors in the same way that the original golden trio are. The plot of the show constantly evokes the idea of doing what’s right, even if it means putting your life on the line. Everyone who joins the military in this universe knows they need a mixture of bravery, daring, and just the right amount of recklessness to be successful. Even in the real world the anime has been in the spotlight the same way Gryffindor house is all the time, with great characters, an interesting plot, and intriguing world building that keeps people invested even with four year waits for the next season. Every episode has you rooting for the main characters in the same way that you root for Harry Potter and the rest of the gang. Not to mention it looks and sounds fucking amazing. So if you decided to skip the second season because you’ve read the manga…don’t. The anime just makes everything a million times better.

So that’s the end of my Hogwarts house anime recommendations! Sorry I couldn’t really branch out very much with Gryffindor house, but I tried my best. I hope these are helpful!

Have y'all ever noticed the gay character that writers and actors on a show claim over and over again that the character was “specifically written to not be the ‘gay best friend’ but the guy who happens to be gay” and yet that character clearly is written as the gay best friend (sometimes addressed as such) and talks about nothing but superficial shit and guys… and then everyone watching it LOVES that character, despite everyone claiming they hate that trope?

It’s like this crazy game of over compensation that everyone claims to be against yet is still suspiciously popular somehow…

okay sorry I’m griping. I just hate bad writing and moreso LYING about your bad writing.

I’m supposed to be doing other, more productive things right now but I couldn’t help myself doing a quick sketch of Dirk Gently because OMG!!! I just finished Dirk Gently’s Holistic Detective Agency and I loved it! It was so good and had the best characters! Clearly Dirk is my favourite…. like seriously someone cut this boy some slack and give him more friends he’s a ray of sunshine and deserves it.
