30-DAY RAW VEGAN CLEANSE 

PROS:

Over the course of one month, my weight from 118 to 112.5. That being said, my beginning weight was right after a indulgent holiday season, filled with many goodies I don’t normally eat. I was bloated, uncomfortable and holding onto a couple extra holiday pounds. Hence, the reason I decided to cleanse my body. 

Fresh, raw, living food gave me incredible amounts of energy and a clear mind. I did have a couple cheat meals when my parents came to visit me, and the effects the animal-products had on my body were: exhaustion, bloating and headaches. 

Raw food is delicious. There are so many different combinations of salads, smoothies, and juices you can create. Not only is it delicious, but you feel absolutely refueled after every meal. 

CONS:

You can’t go out to eat! I mean, I guess you could, but it’s extremely hard to order. A raw vegan has such a strict diet, it’s really hard to eat anywhere besides a fully-raw restaurant. Being a self-proclaimed foodie, I like the freedom of being able to go out and try new restaurants. 

I miss cooking!! I love, love, love to cook. It’s my creative outlet. Salads are fine, but I miss creating delicious meals using heat. 

Oh yeah, that being said, I miss HOT meals! It’s the middle of winter in Chicago. The raw foods are delicious but I feel like I’m cold all. the. time. I try to drink tea with every meal, but it’s just not the same. I plan on embarking another 30-day raw vegan cleanse this summer. 

OVERALL:

I loved the raw vegan cleanse. I feel so healthy and so light. It’s really made me reconsider the consumption of animal-products in my everyday diet. I finally understand the true benefits of a 100% plant-based diet. I am going to continue the raw vegan cleanse until Friday, when my boyfriend gets to town. I will have a relaxed whatever-I-want food weekend, and then I think I might try the “raw until 4pm” diet philosophy. That means, I will eat raw foods until 4pm and then cook myself a HOT, delicious (preferably vegan), dinner every night. I think with that diet, I will still get the amazing benefits of a raw lifestyle and get to welcome the love of my life, cooking, back into my life.

Witch's Carpet Refresher

I noticed certain rooms like our bedroom and the living room are prone to “ bad vibe build up” and one of the ways I clear negative energy is by making my own carpet refresher. I sprinkle on, leave it for 15 to 20 minutes and then I vacuum it up.
I definitely notice a difference in the air of my room and feel clear calm and collected.

What you’ll need

Sea Salt

Dried Sage

Dried Rosemary

Black Peppercorns

*Angelica Root powder is optional, I use it because we have a haunted apartment and our ghosts get bad attitudes sometimes.

Ashes ( *optional) not recommended for white carpet.


just mix them in a bowl and sprinkle them about, if peppercorns are too much for your vacuum you can use cracked pepper instead. You can totally make it your own. I made a blend for when I crossed over a spirit that was pestering my roommate.

Tips on how to allow your body to lose weight naturally

All my life I looked at the fit girls all around me and asked myself, why is it so easy for them?! I wasn’t raised to have healthy eating habits and I know that plays a role in it, but I always felt like I was missing something… I have realized recently that It’s all about nutrition and detoxification, the first step is realizing that we live in a toxic world and a lot of little things are contributing to some peoples fat storage.

Once you realize that you can give your body everything it needs to get to that healthy size for your body. The second step is that you have to except the way you look and know that it should not affect your self worth or self image. What I have learned through the past 12 years of struggling with my body image is that you have to get over what others think and seek health both mentally and physically.

Here are the nutritional keys that are helping me right now! I am truly amazed by the results in just a months time!

Heal your adrenals! Most Americans drink coffee everyday and don’t realize that it is actually stealing your energy! Coffee is best in moderation but if you’ve been binging on it like I did, it’s time to lay off for a while. It can cause stress hormones in your body to take over, like cortisol leading to fat storage in your belly and a desire to eat more than you need. Heal your adrenal glands with vitamin C and green drinks, also start slow with exercise and don’t over do it, you have to replenish your adrenals first!

Focus on liver health and detoxification! Your liver is so important when it come to filtering out toxins, and if it’s backed up it will send a message in your body to store fat! This is because fat can also store toxins! I use choline along with other foods. And I don’t drink very often.

Build up your metabolism with your food! Everyday eat things that will naturally cause you to burn fat, my favorite thing to add to my daily green smoothie is extra virgin organic coconut oil. Also the supplement L-Carnitine.

Build muscle to burn fat! It’s simple the more muscle you have the more fat you will burn at rest! Coconut oil also helps to keep muscle on and Loose visceral fat!

Lower bowel cleanse! If you aren’t going two times a day you need to help your body out and get those toxins out of you! I use lower bowel vitamins by Dr. Christopher on Amazon. It’s very gentle.

All these things put your mind at ease because you know your body is amazing and now that it has everything it needs you will see results!
