classmates works

Aizawa became an insomiac during high school. He ended up dedicating a lot of his sleep time to his studies, but also making sure his classmates weren't over working themselves. By graduation it's practically tradition that he passes out on Mic's couch and everyone buys him a cake saying "Thanks For Everything, We Love You Ultimate Tired Mom Friend".

This is so cute. Aizawa probably wouldn’t know what to do at first with all the attention. Saying it wasn’t necessary and they shouldn’t have gone through the effort, he was just doing what needed to be done. Of course, everyone would insist and eventually he would budge. Showing his appreciation even though he wasn’t expecting the thanks.

1. Wake up earlier. Not only does this improve productivity but it also gives you more time to make a good, hearty breakfast.

2. Make your bed. Let’s be real, being welcomed to a tidy bed after a long day at work/school (or a long day in general) is probably the best feeling anyone will ever experience.

3. If you want, spend a little more time on your appearance. Take some time choosing an outfit, applying make up or whatever. Do what helps you boost your confidence and self-esteem.

4. Stay hydrated, folks. Keep a bottle of water with you wherever you go.

5. Stretch everyday or start yoga (or do both, why not?)

6. Create a playlist consisting of songs that make you happy and listen to it. Listen to songs for the mood you want to be in, instead of the mood you are in.

7. Compliment at least one person per day. This could be an acquaintance, co-worker, class mate, stranger, whoever!

8. Use your manners. If someone holds the door for you, lets you go first etc, they did it voluntarily and didn’t have to do it, so a “thank you” wouldn’t hurt.

9. Eat your fruit and vegetables and always choose the healthy version over the junk food.

10. Have a good laugh. Catch up with friends, watch some ‘Parks and Recreation’, go see some stand-up comedy, reminisce about funny moments that have happened to you. You don’t need to be a doctor to know that humour has many benefits.

11. Be optimistic. Always look at the positives. There’s no point on focusing on the negatives because that isn’t going to help anyones mood at all.

12. Exercise. It doesn’t have to be anything to intense. A run around the block, a walk with your dog or even a 'Just Dance’ session will do the job.

13.Bring a book/magazine or collect the daily newspaper with you. Spend you spare time reading.

14. Try and learn something new everyday. This can either be an interesting fact you saw online or a new skill someone taught you.

15. Help others when you are able to. Help your classmates with school work or offer to help you struggling neighbour lift those heavy objects.

16. Stop procrastinating. No matter how unmotivated you are to, push yourself and complete what you need to complete. Do what you gotta do. You know you’ll love yourself for doing it.

17. Drink some tea, because that stuff is goooooood (and also beneficial).

18.Make time to do things that help you relax, whether that’s painting, having baths, doing you nails or going for a run.

19. Don’t dwell on your mistakes, but instead grow and learn from them.

20. And lastly, be kind to yourself. If you love who you are, everyone else will

Just Microaggression Things™ Derek Malik Nurse has had to live through:

  • people telling him shit like “you speak so well!” “you are very articulate.” “you’re so calm.”
  • or being asked “you’re from Andover??” “ok, but, like, what are you?”
  • when his tattoo is visible, he’ll be given The Eye from older white people
  • at cafes, sometimes people will ask him to refill their coffee when he clearly doesn’t work there
  • white classmates assuming he’ll have the hookups to get all kinds of substances
  • white girls obsessing over his middle name (alt. white people asking if they can touch his hair)
  • being the Token Minority in class (especially in literature/poetry classes led by White professors)
  • stopping himself from getting angry/emotional (ESPECIALLY IN FRONT OF WHITE PEOPLE) because it only takes one (1) misplaced outburst to lose the respect of people who hold authority over him

I want every classmate to be best friends with every single other classmate… brotp?? brot3?? Forget that, gimme the brot15 with every single kid in this class please

okay so, I don’t know if anyone’s mentioned this idea, but what if the Ravenclaw door that demands riddles instead of passwords only asked questions that the recipient has it in them to figure out?

Like, I mean, a lot of people who would fit in Ravenclaw aren’t necessarily going to be good at wordplay. If I weren’t Slytherin, I’d be Ravenclaw most likely, and heck, I’m terrible at riddles. Also, the riddle is supposed to be challenging, what’s challenging for an 7th year might be impossible for a 1st year. Not to mention all the riddles that might require knowledge that muggleborn students wouldn’t have because they reference things common to a wizard upbringing

So I mean, what if the knocker is sort of like the hat and is capable in some fashion of asking personalized questions. One person might get a standard word play riddle (ie “what’s the longest word in the english language? Smiles, because there’s a mile between the first and last letters) while another person might get a logic riddle (like the sheep wolf cabbage river crossing problem) and maybe yet another person will get a straight up math problem or a riddle referencing their best subjects.

I just think it would be nice, because the goal with the knocker seems to be challenging students on their knowledge and wit, keeping them on their toes- not about expecting ¼ of the student body to have the exact same knowledge base, experience, and specific facet of problem solving

Summary:  After discovering the wonders of Ladynoir fanfiction, Adrien sets out to start his own with his classmate Marinette helping him along the way. But when does fiction start becoming reality?

This story is also beta’d by the wonderful @serendipitousReckonings here on archive, @dickerdoodlez on tumblr.

Chapter 1

Adrien was never the writing type. He did write well - written papers and essays – at least according to his teachers – and was even occasionally asked by a few of his classmates for some writing tips. But, it was for educational purposes only. He‘d never had any sort of passion to write an actual story and he never thought of himself as the imaginative kind anyway. His mind was almost always focused on school, his responsibilities set by his father, and his masked identity. He never really had that luxury of being able to think about anything else. Well, except for his Lady, but that was something entirely different.

The Tiger’s Labmate (M)

~A Namjoon Birthday Fic~

Namjoon x Reader

Genre: University AU, fluff, angst and smut

Warnings: Public sex (I don’t know why I keep writing these with Namjoon XD ), unprotected sex, inappropriate laboratory conduct

Word count: 8,456 words

A/N: As always, I have @mylovejhs to thank for beta-ing this fic for me <3

You are perched on the tall laboratory stool at one of the tables, trying to look unaffected. However, it is difficult to maintain a cool facade when the girls in your class make a show for their sympathy for you as they pass by to take their own seats, smiling with pity, patting your back in consolation and saying words of encouragement in tones that are just chirpy enough to tell you that they’re actually enjoying your misery. It isn’t surprising though; you knew this would happen after the grouping for this course’s lab came out and you are again paired with one of the guys.

Just then the man himself saunters into the room, quickly spotting you and heading over. Your gaze moves higher and higher as he approaches, finally having to tilt your head up when he stands next to your table. “I guess we’re lab partners this semester,” he points out the obvious with a dimpled smile.

Things autsim makes me do
  • Being forgetfull
  • Need certain routines to not forget things
  • Either a messy room (I have a system) or everything has to be in the exact place at all time
  • Having to do stuff at a specific time or else you’ll panic because ‘I always do this at this time’
  • Disliking a sudden change/ wanting to know things in advance
  • Constant self doubt
  • Not being able to fall asleep because your brain is too active
  • More likely to develop depression or addiction
  • Need certain ways of learning (reasons why autistic kids sometimes don’t perform well at school despite being smart)
  • We’re creative! (First good point in this list)
  • We’re too afraid to look at your eyes cuz that’s scary (I taught myself to look people in the eyes but it actually still freaks me out)
  • Come off as ‘crazy’
  • Either talk too much or not talk at all.
  • Getting frustrated over small things
  • Both verbal and non- verbal communication can be hard (especially for children)
  • Talking too fast
  • Need music to concentrate. (People talking is distracting, silence makes me crazy)
  • Doing two things at the same time because one thing is not entertaining enough
  • Trouble making friends
  • Never finnishing an idea
  • Prefer to be alone
  • Very introverted, we like alone time
  • Extra sensitive for sounds and light (Reasons we like being alone, we need rest)
  • Organizing pencils by colour (Same goes for coloured candy before eating it)
  • Strongly dislike to working in groups
  • Hard time relating to others
  • Takes some things too literal (Sarcasm for instance)
  • Doesn’t change mind easily
  • Don’t like small talk
  • Needs to know EXACLY what going on.
  • Needs clear instructions.
  • Wanting to be around people but not interact with them
  • Sometimes stuck in our own world, thinking to ourselves, making us unable to hear anything around us (this is called hyperfocus)

Let me just tell you a fun story about the last one, hyperfocus.

In elementary school, when we finished our work, we were allowed to read a book quietly by ourselves. One time I finished my work early (I usually didn’t) and I started reading a book. I was completely lost in the story. Then suddenly I snapped out of it and looked around me. ALL OF MY CLASSMATES WERE GONE! And also my teacher. Two classmates were in charge of cleaning the classroom, and they were busy. I looked at the time and realised school ended 20 minutes ago.

I was so focussed on my book, I didn’t even notice all of my classmates putting away their work, the teacher ending with the class, and everyone leaving. I didn’t even notice the two classmates cleaning.

U: Kacchan, we can say it nicely!!! We don’t answer questions that are inapropriate or anything that could lead to an inapropriate subject sorry!!!

((No nsfw/possible nsfw questions~ Im fairly young and im reserved in a way so I don’t feel comfortable doing those type of questions! i dont care how young the legal age is in japan, im sticking to cute vibes on this account))

Dear Younger Students,

I completed the last of my semester coursework yesterday and made an interesting observation that might assuage some of your worries.

I used to be a procrastinator. I was the kid who started their science project at 9pm the night before it was due. I was the kid who cranked out 20-page AP lit essays the day before it was due. I was the kid who did the reading for my next class in the class I was currently in. I was a hard core procrastinator until sometime during my MSc (around age 22-23).

Slowly, I started doing my work earlier. Studying earlier, reading earlier, drafting earlier. Then I started finishing a week early, getting classmates to proofread my work, and writing 2nd and 3rd drafts (I used to just turn in my first). At times when I would’ve blown off my work, I started to sit down for a couple of hours and hack away at it. Fast forward four years and I managed to get 2 critique papers, 2 presentations, a final draft of a mock dissertation proposal, a stats homework, and a stats paper asking a novel causal question all done within the past two weeks (when they were assigned), and I got them all completed early.

I’ve thought for a while how weird my transformation was. Procrastination felt like a pretty embedded psychological trait of mine, so how was I completing my work early during the hardest semester of my academic career?

1) Maturity. It’s worth recognizing that my 26-year-old brain is more developed than my 15-year-old brain or my 20-year-old brain. At those time points, my prefrontal cortex was still developing, so naturally I had less discipline than I do now. It’s also had a lot more practice regulating my behavior in a variety of settings.

2) Practice. People tend to cite perfectionism as a reason for procrastination, and I think that’s true, but I also think it comes down to practice. I’ve been doing academic work since I was a wee toddler, and I’ve been writing hefty (~20 page) academic pieces since high school (thank you Mr. H!). So after roughly 10 years of practice, I know how long it takes me to read information, synthesize an argument, draft it, and edit it. More to the point, it isn’t painful. It isn’t always fun, either, but the mechanics themselves are pretty fluid.

3) Enjoying the topic. Like most people, I do my best work when I like the topic. I was a procrastinator for years because I just didn’t enjoy spending that much time on the topics. I loved reading and debating ideas, but I didn’t like them so much that I wanted to write about them for days, especially when the prompt only wanted regurgitation and not unique thought. Only when I hit my MSc in Forensic Psychology did I think, “Yes, now this is REALLY cool.” Because they did want novel ideas and critical thinking. I did really well in that program because I didn’t just copy ideas and parrot them back; I took heaps of literature and gave them something new, or at least gave them nuance, and they loved it. I have enough practice now that I don’t need to enjoy the topic so much to perform at par, but I still do my best work when I do.

I’m addressing this to younger students so that you know that if you’re dissatisfied with your current study habits and discipline, you can change. And to some extent, if you’re in an environment that demands better habits and discipline, some of this change will occur naturally; be patient. Don’t get stuck in the mindset of “This is how I am and this is how I always will be.” Because it isn’t true. Keep practicing. You’ll get there.

It was late October and autumn was in full swing. The vibrant red and russets, fiery oranges, and subdued yellows were breathtaking, but they did nothing to curb your anxiety as you walked along. You adjusted your giant tartan print scarf, pushing it up your face to cover your nose and the fact you were chewing on your bottom lip nervously. You had decided to take the long way to school, even while wearing a skirt, because you still didn’t know how you were going to do it, or even if you were going to do it at all.
