I can't wait to see Crowley's eyes, either! Part of me, though, really hopes we DON'T see them until his glasses are knocked off in the burning bookstore. I think this was when they were revealed for the first time in the book, and it's super dramatic and badass. (I'm sending this as an ask bc the post you mentioned his eyes in was already pretty long)

I agree!! That scene is incredibly important and quite a bit of a reveal. I’ve actually been meaning to talk about this. Here’s a sketch to help visualize:

Poor kiddo.

I wouldn’t say he’s exactly badass here; actually I rather feel the exact opposite, but it’s an incredibly powerful scene. I have a lot of Thoughts on this, so more under the cut.

What things/aesthetics/objects do you associate each of the Gorillaz members as?

it’s kind of difficult because it really depends on the phase

noodle: stickers, junk food, old horror movies, gumball machines, plastic bags, arcades, a weird aura of nervous energy, plastic dinosaurs, the green glow of an old computer

2D: dust, mis matched socks, torn up sneakers, classical music on cassette tapes, candy, a haunted carnival, pills, television static, crumpled papers, saturday morning cartoons, wearing watches on both hands but still not knowing the time

also I’ve been wanting to talk about this but this song is the most “2D” song I think Gorillaz has ever made but no one ever seems to talk about it??

russel: the color yellow, neon lights, sitting and thinking for a long time, loving stray animals, bandaids, Fantastic Mr. Fox, plaid patterns, the abandoned part of town that has faded flyers all over blacked out windows and the paint is chipping off the hand painted signs, hats, antique taxidermy, antique taxidermy with hats, art museum with no people inside

murdoc: striped shirts, leather jackets, boots, cross-country road trips dotted by dimly lit vacant gas stations, the one who wields a gun while wearing fur coat, faded photos, velvet, wine, a small mexican city, vampires

I tend to see them all as very grimy, messy people and there’s always a strange tint of color over them, they can sit in any room and the room’s atmosphere will adjust around them versus the other way around.

Phase 4 is a little different because they’re much more vibrant and modern (minus murdoc) but all the other phases felt very worn and dusty but in a pleasant way if that makes sense??

“It looks like she’s trying to create an army of these monsters,” You said, the boys going quiet after you spoke taking in the news.

“Shit,” Dean muttered under his breath. The four of you shot into motion at the same time. The men quickly grabbing theircoats and throwing you a spare army green jacket they had lying around to takethe place of the thinner material of the coat you’d worn inside. Following them you let them lead the way out of the massive underground bunker and up to a waiting car.
