civil disobidence

I’m going to sleep. Anybody planning on going out to protest tonight: Be safe. Self-care is important. Eat. Comfortable shoes are a given. Take water. Take any reference literature you’ve picked up. Don’t go by yourself. CHARGE YOUR PHONE. If you have a spare battery, take it with you. Let people know where you are going to be. Check in often. Have someone who is not protesting check in on you. Have an exit plan in case things get ugly. Do not actively approach a dangerous situation, that is not what protesting is about. CHECK IN OFTEN. Know your rights. Know your voice. Use it.

Be safe.
