OK, US to Australia and back in a week is definitely a no-go for future travel… Still having these absolutely disconnected moments where my internal clock is trying to catch up with reality. That’s what’s in my fridge tonight.
So I know I’ve been slacking a bit on the daily self-portrait thing. Part of it was work just draining me and part was waiting for inspiration. So here was an inspiration… The first day that the heat was not on and I didn’t need to put on long pants and a real shirt in evening. There ought to be some special name for that day that signals summer is really here. And yes I’m at the computer. But summer is here and wearing shorts all day trumps all.
Another check list nearly ready to be retired as we near opening… I know, very analog, but it suits me for this stuff. And there is something way more satisfying about starting with a fresh yellow pad than there is about right-mouse>new>folder>click.
An act of creative desperation (Which we have all been known to participate in…). But I am running out of ideas to show that I am running out of ideas! And just kind of roasted on the current creative load at work.
The nice weather seems to cut into the more introspective aspects of the creative process. When it’s dark by five, there is all this time to comtemplate process and materials, mood pics and so on. When it’s nice out, it’s time to GTFO and PLAY!
Spent too much time in Photoshop today. So I decided to swap Homer’s head for my own without using Photoshop. With about the same tools that Homer might have available. Beats another shot of me at my computer!
