Chrystal Chan was born and raised in Northern California. Being fascinated by the spiritual world since the age of seventeen, most of her works present subjects in metaphorical situations that are derived from visions, supernatural experiences, and beings. Other works are reflective of feelings and situations placed in the everyday life. Each piece states facts of the physical or the supernatural.
Chrystal has shown in numerous galleries and publications as well as composed music for a Sundance nominated short film. Notable galleries include CoproGallery, Dorothy Circus Gallery, and Last Rites Gallery. She has also been awarded “Best Adult Book Cover” from The Art Order and is an official selection of Spectrum 20.
This Joan of Arc piece I did a little while ago is going to be part of Spectrum 21 (a curated book on contemporary fantasy art)! Congrats to those who got in! #art #fantasy #joanofarc #illustration #chrystalchan
