“Danny, what are you doing in that boat?”

“It’s a yacht, they tell me. I bought it. C’mon in– or on– or whatever. Colleen, Misty, and Harmony are already here, so we’re set to go! […] Hey, look! We’re under way! That’s right, isn’t it? ‘Under way’?”

“That’s fine, Danny.”

Our Eighth Soulmate (part 2)

I have no excuse for how late this is. I really don’t. I had a plan and like every one of my other writings I didn’t follow it. All I can do is apologize and move on with the story! No Dadsona yet, that’ll be next chapter.

“Another one?” Ernest groans as he slumps in his chair. Lucien hits him upside the head before eating a forkful of waffle.

“What’s their name?” Daisy asks, having put her book down and paying rapt attention to the conversation.

“Lance Hart,” Hugo announces to the kitchen.

Briar and Hazel stop tossing the ball to one another. Christian and Christie put down the deformed baby doll, scissors still in its leg. Carmensita takes out her other earbud. Lucien gulps down his waffle and Ernest sits upright. All of the kids are staring at them.

“What’s the matter? You guys know him or something?” Robert huffs, leaning back on the counter. That seems to snap them out of it.

“Know him? Who hasn’t heard of him?!”Carmensita exclaims. “He’s done nearly every genre of music in his own special way, has been in multiple movies and t.v. shows, wrote his own book, he’s famous!”

“He also sponsored (random baseball team because I don’t sport) when they were running low on funds!” Brian and Hazel tag teamed.

“Woah, Woah, woah, we aren’t certain they’re the same person,” Craig starts, trying to calm down the excited kids.

“Even so, we mustn’t give up the possibility,” Damien chimes in, earning a slight non heated glare from Brian (only trying to tell him not to get the kids hopes up).

“Well, we’ll find out soon enough,” Lucien says as he scrolls through Google on his phone.

“And why is that?” Joseph asks.

“Because he’s moving to Maple Bay according to his last interview.”

And cliffhanger because that’s what I’m good at. I’ll hopefully post the third chapter either tonight or tomorrow because my drive for this fic has picked up again and I have an idea for where this is going. Bye bye!
