People As Bell By Ivo Christov

Kukeri [ Bulgarian: кукери ; singular : кукер,kuker ]  is a traditional Bulgarian ritual to scare away evil spirits, with a costumed man performing the ritual. The costumes cover most of the body and include decorated wooden masks of animals  / sometimes double-faced /  and large bells attached to the belt. Around New Year and before Lent, the kukeri walk and dance through the village to scare evil spirits away with the costumes and the sound of the bells, as well as to provide a good harvest, health, and happiness to the village during the year.

2009 Christoval Vineyards Rambouillet Chardonnay

A nod to our friends at Christoval Vineyards, just 20 miles south of our home in San Angelo, TX. Their estate grown Chardonnay comes in at only 12.6% alcohol and is remarkably clean and crisp. A sweet nose of honey, golden apple & honeysuckle. Sporting a dry, refreshing palate of apple, pear and mineral notes. This Texas Chardonnay is surprisingly Burgundian in style and FAR exceeded my expectations.

  • Calandria:Here, Tonio, why don't you hold her?
  • Antonio:I can hold her?
  • Calandria:Of course you can. *hands him the baby*
  • Christoval:How do you like your new baby sister?
  • Antonio:My baby sister.
  • Antonio:I'll always keep you safe and happy.
  • Christoval:Huh?! Why are you making such strange promises?! That's not your responsibility, we're the parents!
  • Calandria:Oh, let him be. It's cute.
