Platinum silk satin opulently decorated with prong set rhinestones and blue jewels, pearls, silver metallic cord, periwinkle embroidery and sequins, boned bodice with top band of darts above meandering floral trailing down skirt having side pleats and center back inverted pleat. Bust 35, waist 26, length 51. It appears that the interior corset, probably with label, has been removed, minor bead loss, hem edge slightly soiled. The Duchess of Windsor’s short cocktail length version of this dress is in the Palais Galliera, Fashion Museum City of Paris.
