“And I will restore to you the years that the swarming locust has eaten…” (Joel 2:25, ESV).

We serve a God of restoration! You may have had some disappointments or unfair things happen in your life; but instead of dwelling on the past and living in defeat, choose to focus on His promises because God wants to restore everything that’s been stolen from your life. He wants to restore your joy, your peace, your health, and your finances. But here’s the key: you have to have a vision for it. You have to get your hopes up and decide to get your thoughts and words going in the right direction.

Today, choose to focus on the future and release past hurts through forgiveness. Draw a line in the sand and say, “I am a child of the Most High God, and I’m not going to live my life negative and defeated. This is a new day, and I’m taking back what belongs to me!” That’s having a restoration mentality!

Prayer for Today:

Heavenly Father, thank You for choosing to restore my life. Thank You for the truth of Your Word that sets me free. Fill me with Your power today so that I may stand strong and move forward on the path You have for me. I love You and bless Your Name. In Jesus’ Name. Amen.

I was so unsure about which photo to post to summarise Oxygen and share my favourite truth for you all, until late last night my friend Joshua Mikhaiel sent me a photo he took of Francis and his daughter who came out to Australian with him.

This shot pretty much sums up the conference for me. This is what I learnt. I learnt all over again restful intimacy with the Father, because of a renewed understanding and thankfulness for Jesus the Son, who loves me and keeps me.

“My life and everything good in it is because I walked up the mountain in the presence of God. I was abiding with Him and all this fruit came from the times I simply am alone with Jesus. Everything beautiful goes strangely dim in His presence. Even the greatest moments of my life, like the birth of my son when my little girl was able to catch him, pale in comparison to the intimacy with Him we get in those quiet moments alone."

I’ll be blogging a deeper reflection soon, but thats the simple, exhilarating, beautiful, life-changing truth thats going to set my heart free all over again.

Sometimes we can be more aware of what other people think than we are of what God thinks. But people don’t determine your destiny. People can’t stop God’s plan for your life. People may not approve you. Don’t worry about it. God approves you. God called you; people didn’t call you. People don’t equip you; God equips you. People don’t anoint you; God anoints you. When you come to the end of your life, you don’t have to answer to people; you’ll answer to Almighty God.

Don’t let what some person says or does make you feel less than or unqualified. You’ve been handpicked by the Creator of the universe. You are lacking nothing for the season that you’re in right now. What you have in your hand is what you need. When you dedicate it to God and do what He tells you, He’ll bless and multiply what you have in your hand and use it to take you further than you ever dreamed!

Prayer for Today:
Father, right now, I renounce the negative voices that have come against me and against Your Word. I choose to trust You. I choose to believe You. I choose to forgive others and believe Your Word which stands forever in Jesus’ name. Amen.
