Chris eyes widened as he walked into your shared apartment. The two of you had know each other for your entire lives. When Chris had needed a place to stay, you had opened your home to him and when it became time for the two of you to move, it had been natural to find a new place together. You were best friends and roommates. You just fit together and Chris harboured a secret crush on you, so seeing you like this. Humming as you roamed the kitchen, all dressed up, with candles and flowers on the table made his heart skip a beat.
His next thought however made it feel as if someone had plunged a dagger through it. He had been on set for months and with how busy you had been working on your new album the two of you had barely talked. Chris figured you must have gotten a new boyfriend, you had forgotten to tell him about and he wasn’t sure which of the two hurt the most. The fact you were seeing someone or that you hadn’t told him about this guy.
Chris put on his brightest smile, when you turned around to face him. The surprise on your face was evident, but it was quickly pushed away for a sweet almost shy smile and Chris couldn’t help but tease you. “If I didn’t know any better, I’d say you were trying to seduce me.”
Chris eyes widened when he saw you flush bright red, as you started shifting on your feet. You didn’t look directly at him as you started rambling. “I… well we haven’t seen each other in a long time. I missed you. So I thought…”
“Wait this is for me?” Chris gestured to the table and your eyes met his.
“Who else would it be for?” you wondered out loud and a bright smile slid across Chris face and he threw his jacket over the back of the couch abandoning his suitcase along with it.
“So you were trying to seduce me?” Chris winked, lowing how red your face instantly turned but this time you didn’t break eye contact, you just smiled sweetly at him.
“Well….don’t keep me waiting then,” Chris chuckled, kissing her cheek, as he pulled out the chair for her to sit down. “You cooked. I’ll serve the food.”
A/N: I finally finished something! Sorry it took so long. I tired to make them generic but I’m a psych major and it’s all I know. Enjoy!
Ricky: “Whatcha reading?” Your boyfriend asks from over your shoulder. You had been at your desk slumped over your textbook for hours now and every word read was forgotten immediately. “Abnormal Psychology.” “Really? That sounds kinda cool.” You dropped your head with an audible thud. “It was interesting. 4 hours ago.” “So stop for the night.” “I can’t,” you mumbled, face still pressed against the book, “my test is tomorrow and he pulls his questions straight from the book.” You laid there deflated for a few more seconds before the book was pulled out from under you. Ricky pulled up a chair beside you and set the book in his lap. “What are you doing?” You asked. He smirked, “Reading to you. It sounds cooler than you give it credit for, and clearly you’re getting nowhere on your own, so.” Thanks to Ricky you ended up acing your test the next day.
Ryan: “Ok… what is one difference in diagnosing depression in children vs adults?” “Children can be irritable instead of sad.” Ryan flipped the card over, “Correct.” Yes. You knew this information inside and out. You were ready, but you couldn’t stop. You wanted a B in this class and you were going to study until the tests were handed out. “How many symptoms are needed to diagnose ADHD?” “6 for children, 5 if they’re over 18.” “Correct. Babe can you stop pacing it’s freaking me out.” “It helps me think.” “Yeah but, I’m pretty sure you don’t need to think. Like you could probably answer these in your sleep.” He grabbed your hand as you walked by, pulling you close. “Take a break Y/N.” You smiled down at your loving boyfriend. “One more time through the stack, then we’ll talk.” Ryan rolled his eyes knowing you were never going to give up. “Alright,” he sighed picking up the stack of 275 flash cards, “Name 3 criteria for bipolar I disorder.”
Vinny: It was 1:37am the Sunday- or Monday now, before your first final. You’d been studying for hours and you were barely halfway through. Vinny could see you starting to fade so he suggested a coffee run. The Starbucks near your house was closed so the two of you were driving in circles trying to find caffeine. “There’s a gas station down the street. They’ll probably have something.” You didn’t answer, still engrossed in your study guide. “Y/N… Y/N…” Suddenly he snatched the guide out of your hands. “Hey!” “Babe this is supposed to be a break, you weren’t supposed to bring it with you.” “But I need to study!” You whined as he pulled into a parking spot. “I know,” he cooed taking your face in his hands, “but first, coffee.” You rolled your eyes as you climbed out of the car. “But gas station coffee, really?” “Hey you didn’t object!”
Devin: “Jesus Christ how many slides are on this thing?!” You smacked his arm trying to silence your boyfriend as you kept reading. “60.” “60?! What could possibly be in this chapter that it needs 60 slides to cover it all?!” “Devin shut up I’m trying to study.” “Do you really need to read all 60 slides though? I mean shouldn’t there be like a study guide or something instead of just posting his presentations?” “Nope. Professors are satanists that like to watch us suffer.” Devin chuckled as you stared deadpan into the screen. “It should at least have cool transitions or som-” “DEVIN, OUT!” You cried, smacking him with a pillow until he leapt off the couch. “You’re distracting me! Be helpful or get out!” Devin pouted in protest but you went immediately back to your power points. “Fiiine,” he huffed walking towards the bedroom, “Wake me when you’re done with your 60 slides.”
Chris: You stared into the computer screen, rapidly clicking the refresh button. Nope. Nope. Nada. Still nothing. You weren’t sure exactly when Chris had come over but he was holding your hand tightly, shifting his attention between you and the ever-refreshing screen. “It’s gonna be fine Y/N. You studied so hard, and you already know what you have in most of your classes.” “Yeah but I need at least a 3.5 this semester or I can kiss grad school goodbye. Then I’ll have a useless degree and be forced to work at McDonalds where one day I’ll get so fed up with a customer that I kill them and have to go on the run and live under a bridge like a crazy homeless person.” Chris couldn’t help but smile as you frantically refreshed the page. You still had two minutes before grades would be posted, but that didn’t stop you from checking 8 minutes ago and he knew it wouldn’t stop you now. Finally the page changed, and the two of you held your breath as you added up your GPA. “3.6… 3.6!! FUCK YES!” You shrieked as Chris lifted you out of the chair into a hug. “I’m so proud of you babe! C’mon let’s go celebrate! You earned it!” “Ok, anywhere but McDonalds.”
It’s 4am here :/ anyway, I hope you enjoy
this. As always, prompts are welcome.
It was hot and she was cramped. They’d been
driving for an hour and a half with no destination in mind. It had been Vilde’s
idea, “let’s go on a road trip, just us girls.” Just us girls turned into Vilde
wanting to bring Magnus, which meant Chris B wanted to bring Kasper which in
turn meant Noora wanting to bring William who insisted on Chris coming along
too. William was driving his car behind them which had Noora, Chris B and
Kasper in it too. Sana was driving their car and Vilde was sat in the front, lucky her, Eva thought. Eva was sat in the back of the car
stuck in the middle; stuck between Chris and Magnus who both took up way much
room than they should. Well, Magnus hadn’t been so bad especially once he fell
asleep 30 minutes into their journey; his head lolling side to side
occasionally. Chris on the other hand had been pestering her non-stop.
Prompt from theycallmebecca ! Chris became a dad at age 25. He is the guardian of his 10 year old daughter (for what reasons I dunno). His daughter decides he needs a wife so she starts some sort of match making for him. Online dating profile? Trying to hook him up with her favorite teacher?
So I have no idea how long this will be, but Mckenna is going to be my face claim and I hope you enjoy it Becca <3
Chris smiles as he watches Lily color in her coloring book, his 10 year old mini me smiling and humming to herself while he makes some pasta. She’s everything he could have asked for- smart, silly, independant, and so strong. Though her mom passed in childbirth, she’s never complained about being motherless. She was always so grateful, so understanding and kind, and he couldn’t be happier.
Author’s Note: This Chris Evans fic request was super fun to write! Thank you for coming forward and requesting this anon. I truly hope that you enjoy! XOXO
Trigger Warning: Fluff
“ Hi can I request a chrisevans one about him and his fiancé being together at comic con promoting their new movie and Chris getting all jealous and stuff because she gets hit on a lot can it have fluff . Thank you” -Anon
The large poster plastered behind them was embellished with the title of their first movie together. She was nervous to say the least. Unlike Chris, these situations were a bit new to her. She had always attended ComicCon as a fan but never as the star behind a film. Let alone a film with her fiancé, Chris Evans.
“Ms. Burns, how was it directing your own fiancé,” the man with the large press tag in the center of his chest said in the microphone.
“It was interesting, to say the least,” she laughed to herself before shoving Chris with her elbow. “He is a menace! And people that have worked with him know this. I think he is under the impression that he is innocent on set but he is just a total mess. But I love him for that.”
Chris couldn’t help but smile at her before placing a kiss on her cheek. They had agreed to keep the PDA to a minimum since they wanted this day to highlight their film rather than their relationship. Just as he looked back out at the crowd, another journalist stood up and introduced himself.
pairing: Beth Johanssen/Mark Watney, Chris Beck/Beth Johanssen/Mark Watney (and all variations thereof) fandom: The Martian rating: PG-13 note: title taken from ‘love me like you do’ by ellie goulding. i love this couple, and i’m glad other like it too and that it’s gaining traction slowly :D hopefully you guys enjoy! based on this prompt found on tumblr - A has a history of severe nightmares, B knows how to calm A down but is out of town, C has to try for the first time alone
There was absolutely nothing wrong with that. In fact, Beth would be surprised if Mark didn’t have nightmares honestly.
Here’s the other thing – Mark’s nightmares were bad.
The first time Mark had one was about a week after they’d rescued him from Mars. Mark had screamed so loud, so terrified, that he’d brought the whole crew running. What was most terrifying about the whole ordeal was that Mark didn’t move when he had nightmares. With most people you’d expect them to be thrashing wildly. But Mark – Mark was still. He’d scream and whimper, beg wildly, tears running down his face – and be completely still while doing it.
It had been terrifying honestly, and Beth hadn’t known what to do.
So here’s the most important thing – Chris is the only one who can calm Mark down after a nightmare.
It was like Chris was fucking magic, the way he managed to get Mark calm. A few whispered words, a touch here, a touch there, and Mark was gasping awake, clinging desperately to Chris. A few more words, a few more touches, and then it was like Mark hadn’t just been in the throes of a severe nightmare.
So really, it hadn’t been a surprise to Beth the first time she’d walked into a room and caught them making out like horny teenagers.
Mark had, understandably, been mortified. Here he was making out with Beth’s boyfriend, and Beth had caught them. Of fucking course it took Chris to calm him down, and then they’d managed to explain, very slowly and clearly, that Beth didn’t care. That Chris was polyamorous and this was something they’d talked about, extensively, before they got together.
Beth was Chris’s girlfriend, and if Mark wanted and could accept that, he could be Chris’s boyfriend. It hadn’t taken Mark long to understand, and once everything had been laid out, he’d agreed, and Chris now had a very loving girlfriend, and a very loving boyfriend, who were nothing other than friends to each other.
Which is where the most important part of this whole story comes into play – Mark was having a nightmare, and the only person there to help was Beth.
Summary: Sammie learns some information about Jennifer and her job. She and Chris talk about what’s next for them.
Word Count: 3216
Author’s Note: Thank you all for reading this series. I’m sorry this took so long to finish and thank all who stuck by. I gotta thank @theycallmebecca for being just an awesome beta and bouncing ideas off of. Thank you so much! And to @heather-lynn for making these awesome headers for me and giving me great suggestions and ideas! Thank you both!
Chris and Carly meet up for lunch to discuss what she was able to dig up on Jennifer.
“How hard was it to get this information on Jennifer?” Chris asks, as he thumbing through the material Carly handed over.
“It wasn’t hard. Some things were harder than others. But it pays to know teachers in other states, that’s for sure.” Carly smiles, taking a sip of her drink.
Anonymous asked: Weel then, how about a prompt about Chris and Ashley? After the events of Until Dawn they didn’t talk about what had happened that night (the kiss) bc they thought it was just in the effect of what had happened (for example that Chris thinks Ash kissed him bc he didn’t shoot her or something?) and then, one night like two months after that, they finally talk about it and..you know, kiss and stuff :3
It got really fluffy really fast. Super cute this request, right in the feels.
After what happened at the lodge, Ashley had kept herself to
herself, not even talking to Chris. After that kiss, she felt strange; worried
it had only happened because of the fear.
It wasn’t like Chris hadn’t wanted to speak to her either.
They had texted a few times, unsure of what to say. He had just text her now, asking if she was
free and how he needed to see her. Now.
It had been a whole two months since she had seen him. Two
whole months of not knowing where Josh was, assuming he was dead. Of Mike
losing his fingers and Jess and Matt just escaping the mines together. That
night would live with her forever and she didn’t think she would ever be
comfortable with what happened, ever find peace. Not even with Chris.
She text him back, saying she was home but didn’t really
want to see anyone. He had text her saying he was already on his way.
It was only a couple of minutes after that that she had
heard the knock at the door. Tentatively she opened it, seeing Chris stood
before her. The cuts on his face had completely healed; he looked exactly the
same as before. Only, his eyes didn’t have that same sparkle they had.
“Hey, Chris…Come in.”
He stepped inside, his eyes looking down on her, his cheeks
flushing a pale pink. She looked so beautiful. He had almost forgotten just how
beautiful she was.
They sat in her living room in silence. Ashley was playing
with a strand of hair while Chris just stared at his floor. The silence was
deafening. It wasn’t as awkward as Ashley had thought, but she missed the days
when they could talk about anything.
“Look, I’m just going to come out and say it.” Chris
speaking made Ashley jump, but she turned to face him, her eyes wide with
curiosity. “It has been bugging me for a long time and I’ve been too scared to
talk to you but all I can think about is what Josh would say about me just
letting it out and telling you.” He was talking fast, barely taking a second to
breath. “That kiss, Ashley… what did it mean to you?”
Her cheeks flushed at his question, she bit down hard on her
lip, a slight feeling of panic rush over her body. She wanted to keep a level head. He wanted to
talk and if he was being honest, so was she. “I didn’t just kiss you because
you didn’t shoot me if that’s what you think.” Her voice didn’t come out as
confident as she had hoped, it was more quiet. Scared. “Not that it matters.”
“I did actually think that…” He sighed a loud, more with
relief than anything else. “Of course it
matters. It matters a lot to me Ash, look I…” His words trailed off. Should he
say it? What if she didn’t care about him like he cared for her? Taking a deep
breath, he spoke. “But it wasn’t just because I didn’t shoot you?” He sounds
Ashley shook her head, her head lifting up to look at him.
“I did it because…” Should she say it? What if it changed everything? Hadn’t everything changed already though? So
many questions filled her head. “I care about you.” Her words were a whisper,
like she didn’t want him to hear, as if it was enough to get them out whether
he heard them or not. It made it more real.
Chris couldn’t help but smile as he lifted her head up to
meet his, planting a soft kiss on her lips, feeling every fibre of his being
come to life as they met. She was warm and familiar and everything just felt
right. It was like the kiss at the lodge but just that bit better, knowing that
this one was for real. They meant it. They both knew they meant it.
“I actually think I’m in love with you, Ash.” Chris spoke,
feeling bold. Whether she felt the same, he didn’t care. They could start something
new. Something better. Together.
“I love you too, Chris.”
The pair embraced, their arms wrapping tightly around each
other, never wanting to let the other go. Maybe they could start something new.
All they could keep thinking was how it had taken this long to get this far. It
was definitely worth it.
Because Ireland just became the first country to vote for the inclusion of equal marriage into the Constitution by popular vote, and because of the ties to Ireland and Dublin that Chris and Darren have, a plot bunny happened.
W: 585, Rating: PG
> Darren: It’s a YES!
The text message chimes in at what Chris considers absolute
stupid-o'clock in the morning, and he is oh so close to ignoring it. But then
his phone beeps again, and he grudgingly rolls over to look at it properly.
> Darren: They fucking did it,
Christopher! THEY DID IT!
Chris walked through the hallway to get his microphones set up. In the distance, a soft sound moved fluidly inside the editing room. Perhaps it was Ryan editing one of his daily videos, or simply listening to music for the fun of it. Whatever it was, it mesmerized him. That noise was like water rippling through a deep ocean. There was no way he’d just go on with his day and leave it. It’d at least give him a few minutes to interact with his crush after hours of ignoring him.
And there was Matt Watson. His brown hair was tangled and the corners of his pink lips were pulled up by a smile. Chris couldn’t help but interrupt instead of awkwardly standing by until he was noticed.
“Hey, nerd,” he teased.
Matt jolted up with a pink blush that painted his face.
“Chris, what are you doing here? How long have you been standing there?,” he asked with shock.
“I don’t know, maybe a minute. Something sounded really, well, pretty, so I thought I’d come in. And I guess it happened to be… you,” he responded.
“Jesus Christ, I didn’t know my singing could be so serenading,” Matt bantered as he tried to keep his cool. If he did happen to be gay, he at least wanted to be the masculine one. Two, or maybe three minutes devoid of any talking passed by.
“Well, I guess I’ll see you later,” Chris interrupted while trying to keep his eyes glued on the floor.
“ Yeah, I guess you will,” said the other flustered boy.
It wasn’t like Matt wanted attention. Well, maybe he did, considering how his low and fluid voice rang throughout the entire office. The point is that Chris should’ve stayed inside and let his friend repress his gay feelings. What a convenient time for the Irishman to come in.
“Listen, I’m sorry about what happened yesterday. It was really fucking stupid of me to barge in like that,“ he apologized.
“ No, no, no. You shouldn’t be the one who is sorry. My ratchet voice was being too loud, and you came in like anyone would,” Matt responded. Two hands grabbed him by the cheeks and a pair of eyes made contact with his own.
“Look at me. Never fucking say that again. Your voice isn’t unbearable. It is outstanding, and it puts a smile on my face whenever I hear it sing. Your face lights up an entire living room, and I know that sounds corny, but it’s the most honest thing I can say. You are a beautiful human being on your own and-,”
Chris’s words were cut off by those same lips that put him in a trance. He grabbed Matt by the face and let their mouths create even more pressure, even more energy than before. Maybe it felt too quick or too strange, but it didn’t. It felt perfect. A soft moan escaped from him. They both pulled away and reveled in one another’s glazed eyes.
“S-so, does this mean I should should start singing more?,” asked Matt
Protective!Chris defending Josh and showering him in love. Please and thank you! >v<
Eek! Yay! I hope this is protective enough! I just thought it’d be interesting to watch this scenario play out after the mountains and some difficult people try to bring Josh down.
(Disclaimer: I have my own personal headcanon that after Josh is rescued from the mines, Chris and Sam help rehabilitate Josh to a human like state again, yet there are some times were Josh loses control and reverts back to his Wendigo self again!)
Friends of Chris and Josh had been coming and out of their house for the past week, leaving little gifts or get well cards for Josh, who was recovering from surgery since being up in the mountains. He’d gotten better, his more human like characteristics coming back slowly but surely. From time to time, he’d grow feral and angry, but Chris was always there to calm him down and remind him who he was and that he was always there for Josh.
Recently, Josh had gone into surgery to repair the damage done to his mouth, pulling unnecessary teeth, keeping a few per Josh’s request. When Josh came out, he was still woozy and dizzy, but Chris was right there to catch him and keep him up on two feet. It had been a quick ride home, Josh nearly sleeping the whole way there, snoring loudly, just as he used to in the old days. Chris couldn’t help but smile to himself as he heard the familiar buzz of Josh’s snore. Man he had missed it.
Pulling up to the house, he spotted a small car parked in front and someone sitting outside on the door step. Frowning, Chris pulled into the drive and slowly woke Josh from his slumber. The other stirred slightly and sat up, looking around in a daze.
“Where are…oh right. Home.” Josh looked around, his memory slowly coming back to him. A small smile crossed Josh’s face as he remembered the memories in this house that he had shared. Not just with Chris, but with his sisters as well.
“Yeah we’re home. Nice and safe. I’ll set you up with blankets and pillows on the couch and we can watch Netflix all afternoon if you’d like.” Chris offered and grinned, stepping out the car to go around and help Josh out, who wobbled slightly on his own two feet.
“You always knew how to cheer me up, Cochise.” Josh teased, his voice hoarse. It’d only been a few weeks since Josh had started to talk in full sentences, his human like qualities slowly coming back to him.
“Hey it’s my job and I am more than happy do it.” Chris smiled and laughed, looping an arm under and around Josh’s shoulders, helping the other to the door, where the figure sat.
Ashley popped up from the stairs and waved. “Hey Chris! –Oh, Josh, hey… I didn’t know…that… um… wow… you look different.” She commented, her hand going into her pockets quickly.
Josh frowned and stood closer to Chris, hiding his face behind Chris’ shoulder, closing his eyes. Make her go away. He thought and sighed. He knew that she had a major crush on Chris and still did. He wouldn’t blame her though, but still…her efforts had been more the excessive.
“Hey Ash. Yeah we just got back from the hospital… so um… yeah. I was gonna go inside and watch some Tv with Josh…” Chris shifted slightly, glancing to the side at Josh. “But it was nice seeing you! And thanks for the uh…card.” He nodded. It wasn’t more so a get well card for Josh but more of a “it’s all your fault” sort of card, but sugar coated. Chris had tossed it out as soon as he read the first sentence.
“Well, I was hoping that maybe we could hang out sometime. Like I was thinking tomorrow, if you’re not too busy with Josh.” Ashley stated, crossing her arms.
Chris cringed and held Josh closer. He could feel the other shaking slightly in his grasp, short breaths coming from his chest. That was enough.
“Listen, Ash. Josh is my number one priority right now. And he will be. For like…ever. Okay? It’s really nice seeing you, but I really think that bygones should be bygones.” Chris mumbled and shuffled past Ashley, Josh in his gentle grasp. Unlocking the door swiftly, he made sure Josh got inside before turning and closing the door behind him, staring out at Ashley before locking it firmly.
“She…she’s right you know…” Josh mumbled softly, his voice barely a whisper.
Chris turned away from the door and stared at the other. He looked so broken down and tired. The scar was bright red against Josh’s tan, pale skin. His eyes seemed more sunken in than usual. Scurrying over to him, he wrapped Josh in a soft hug.
“No…no she’s not. She’s being rude… she doesn’t know anything about us.” Chris murmured and gently stroked Josh’s hair, holding him close. He felt Josh’s arms wrap around him hesitantly.
“B-But…she’s right. I am a burden. You don’t get to do anything…and I do look different. I don’t look like I used to…” Josh murmured, his voice catching some as he spoke, his arms grasping at Chris’ coat.
“Aw, Josh. Joshy…you know that’s not true. I’d rather watch over you and help you a million times over than hang out with her. She’s just jealous and envious, living in the past. And for the record…” Chris pulled back some, gently clasping Josh’s face in his hands. “You’re the most gorgeous guy I’ve ever seen. Don’t let that scar bring you down. It’s part of who you are… and I like it.” Chris cooed softly, pressing a gentle kiss to the stitches on his cheek.
“I…I guess you’re right…” Josh mumbled and felt a soft blush rise to his face as Chris kissed his cheek. His heart felt lighter and his spirits seemed to be rising again.
“I love you, Joshua…more than anything in the world. And know, that you are more than special to me. You’re my whole world.” Chris confessed.
Josh looked up at Chris and smiled. He smiled a smile that Chris hadn’t seen in a long time. It wasn’t fake, it wasn’t forced…it was true.
