Can you believe Wonder Woman 2017 was written by an openly gay man, directed by a woman, staring a kickass woman surrounded by other ethnically diverse kickass women, with Chris Pine as the love interest who was not weak, racist, or sexist at all, also with diverse and interesting male sidekicks, and the villain who was defeated with the power of love because love is strength not weakness. Like damn how did we get so lucky?
poor Diana imagine your first impression of men being Steve Trevor/Chris Pine and he’s funny and charming and sweet and brave and selfless and then after setting the bar so high suddenly you have to go and deal with the rest of the fuckboys in the world and have your illusions shattered
But imagine what if diana lives some years, maybe hundreds or thousands years after present protecting the world, and then in a future year, she somehow meets this man, who looks like her first ever man, her first ever love, the one and only captain steve trevor,
NONE OF YOU better sleep on A Wrinkle In Time next year! This is the first time an African American Woman has been in charge of a Live action movie with a budget over 100 million! It’s made several characters from a well known story who were thought to be white Woman of Color, like Mrs Who and Mrs Which, DOCTOR Kate Murry, and her children!
Even if it doesn’t look like your kind of movie or it doesn’t look faithful to the book, please support it and give it a chance! Ava DuVernay is making history, support her and A Wrinkle in Time!
