a/n: hi hello i’m back i hope you like this!!! my mind started wandering halfway through lmao
anonymous asked: Could you write one where y/n is distansing herself from Chris for some reason and Chris is getting worried she might leave him and confronts her like ‘Tell me what happened, tell me why everything changed’ Thank you if this is something you can write :)
Christoffer’s biggest fear initially was committing into a relationship and letting someone in his life, letting someone know him on a more personal level. Nowadays, it was loosing you. The thought of you not being a part of his life was terrifying to him, as dumb as it might sound you were the best thing to have happened in his life so far. Even if it was really early in your relationship, he was pretty sure he was falling in love with you, fast. Too fast even. He never thought he’d feel the way he feels for you, but it was something he treasured.
It had taken him time to accept that his crush wasn’t only based on looks and that he liked you as a person and that he actually wanted to be with you, not only occasionally as a random hook up. You were understanding and gave him his time, never rushing him in anyway. He had appreciated a lot, so when he actually was ready you were both beaming with happiness. People had found it funny how happy you both were back then, the bravest ones tried to tease Chris about it, without success though.
But good thing don’t last, not for Chris at least. The universe probably had something against him or his happiness in general, because his worst fear was actually happening. You had become distant suddenly, Chris doing everything possible to stop it from happening in a way that he doesn’t look too clingy. As the whole relationship thing was new for him, he couldn’t help but wonder if he had fucked it up already. Had he said something to offend you? Did he do something wrong? In his mind, the options were endless.
Maybe Chris was a little dumb for not confronting you about it immediately and giving you some alone time, but as days went on he grew more and more worried. He was hung up on the idea of you leaving him, the less confident side of him completely taking over on the matter. Chris knew that he had to act quickly, before it’s too late.
Even with all of that, he was ready to save your relationship at all costs. That was exactly what he was doing currently, as he was walking around in the school in hopes of seeing you or your friends, so far it had been unsuccessful.
A sigh of relief got past his lips when he spotted your little group of friends, boldly walking up to them. They immediately noticed that Chris was walking towards them, growing quiet in matter of seconds. He examined each one of them, noticing Eva was there too. It probably wasn’t the greatest idea of his to hook up with Eva when he was interested in you, it was something he deeply regretted and often worried about. That of course was before you were dating or he was getting ready to do so.
”Where’s Y/N?” Chris asked calmly, tapping his foot against the floor of the cafeteria. They all seemed hesitant, contemplating whether they should tell him or not. Chris’ previous calmness was quickly fading away, replaced by annoyance. ”Look, you can dislike me all you want, but if you know where Y/N is I’d like to know.”
Vilde was the one to crack up and tell him that you had left to get your books for the next class, earning a glare from the others. Chris mumbled out a quick ’thank you’, before sprinting off towards your locker. And you were there, standing in front of it. He walked up
”We need to talk, preferably now.” he said, looking at you.
”Later, excuse me I have to go to class now.” you told him, not bothering to look at him as you tried to leave, only for him to grab your wrist, softly enough to not hurt you.
”Classes don’t start for another 15 minutes, you’re not in a hurry yet and I think it’s crucial that we talk right now,” Chris told you, briefly pausing before continuing. ”Even if I have a reputation of not caring about other peoples feelings, I’ve always taken yours into consideration and I think I at least deserve an explanation for your behavior.”
Your heart was pounding like crazy, you knew sooner or later Chris would confront you about it. You knew you could’ve handled the whole situation better, distancing yourself from him wasn’t smart either. It wasn’t that you didn’t like him anymore, because you did. A lot actually.
A small crowd was following the situation, already probably gossiping about it. Thankfully Chris noticed this, pulling you into a more quiet place where you could be alone. You stood there in silence, not sure of what to do. Chris ran his hand through his hair, a nervous habit he had had as long as you can remember.
”Do you still even like me?” Chris carefully asked, afraid of the answer. This was nerve-wracking for him, he didn’t want your relationship to end. In his mind it didn’t make sense to break up or even take a break, because everything had gone well before. You laughed together, you held hands in the hallways like every annoying new couple did and you respected each other.
”I still like you.” you managed to whisper out as you were on the verge of tears, doing your best to not. Every moment you spent in silence made you feel more and more guilty, regretting your actions. The last thing you wanted to ever do was hurt Chris in any way.
”Then please just tell me what happened, tell me why everything changed? I promise I’ll do my best to fix it.” Chris said, nervously chewing on the inside of his cheek.
Silence. You were struggling to find the right words to explain yourself. As you took a deep breath, you started explaining. ”Ultimately, I think I got jealous and insecure. I know this is dumb, but I heard that you had a thing with Eva and liked her and it just really made me feel insecure. I started overthinking, which ended up in me distancing myself from you. It was a way to protect myself from getting hurt, but in the process of this I hurt you. I’m sorry.”
Christoffer’s facial expression softened seemingly, he was relieved to say the least. ”I can understand that, I was actually worried about it earlier. You’re the only one I have ever liked, I don’t want you to worry about things concerning the matter.”
“I hate how you always know what to say to make me feel better.” you said with a small laugh, wiping some tears away.
“I can’t help it, I’m pretty much a genius.”
You smiled a little, pulling him in a much needed hug. It felt nice and cozy, like home. Chris pressed a kiss to your front, making you slightly blush. One of the many qualities of yours he loved was that he still managed to make you blush with the simplest things.
It was no mystery that you both sucked in this whole dating thing, you were the two newbies who messed things up constantly but no matter what happened did your best to get through it. Things get hard from time to time, but as long as you were both happy together it was worth it.
Y’all I just really missed writing Chris okay. Also YAY 200 FOLLOWERS
“Oh my god, oh my god, oh my god,” you mumbled, bouncing on the balls of your feet. Next to you, Dr. Beck chuckled, shaking his head. You turned to him, quirking your head to the side in a questioning manner.
“What’s so funny, Beck?” you asked, eliciting yet another laugh.
“what are you ‘oh my god’ing about?” he asked, turning to face you, not before adding, “and that’s Dr. Beck to you, missy.” You giggled, continuing to nervously bounce.
“Well, you know, it’s just that this is the last day of training, and in three days we’re gonna be in SPACE!” you exclaimed excitedly, causing the man beside you to smile.
“Yeah, then I’m going to be stuck with you for months and months on end,” Chris faked annoyance, making you gasp and playfully hit his arm.
“Hey, you two! Quit flirting, we have training to do,” Watney called, a cheeky smile on his face as he walked away. You were positive your cheeks had turned bright red, so you turned away from Chris as to not embarrass yourself. The problem with the guy was, you actually did like him. Of course, he could never know because it is not permitted for crew mates to be romantic with each other before or during the flight.
“Oi, I’ll have to get him back later,” Chris mumbled, making you laugh.
“I like the idea of a revenge plan,” you replied, mischief sparkling in your eyes. You both set off down the hall towards the training area, hatching a revenge plan the whole time.
-3 hours later-
You were all getting a break from training to have some sort of lunch. The whole crew headed towards the cafe, chatting animatedly about the upcoming launch. Martinez and Watney were having a competition to see who could make the best sexual innuendo, while Commander Lewis tried to keep a straight face. Behind them, Johanssen read something on her e-reader, hardly looking at where she was going.
“(Y/l/n), come get a sandwich with me,” Beck whined, grabbing your hand and dragging you to the line. You smiled at this loose, childish side of him that didn’t come out often. You ere so enthralled by it- by him, really. He was simultaneously smart, caring, adorable, sweet, and dorky all at the same time. That was the reason you fell head of heels for him practically on the first day of training.
“Which sandwich should i get?” he asked, scanning his eyes over the many options.
“I say the turkey sandwich,” you said, and he nodded quickly, ordering one from the guy behind the counter.
“I’m gonna miss real food so much once we’re in space,” he pouted, leaning against the counter as we waited for his food. You nodded in agreement.
“Yeah, me too, especially my Nona’s cooking,” you said thoughtfully, tummy growling at the thought of her delicious food.
“It’s okay though, i’ll have you on board with me! I’d give up real food for you any day,” he grinned, making your heart pound.
“Ditto, cutie,” you replied, also grinning, until you realized what you just said. Your hand flew up to cover your mouth and your eyes widened.
“Nope. No, I did not just say that.I’m gonna just.. go over..there,” you stuttered, backing away. Chris held a blank face for a moment, then he broke out laughing.
“Relax, (y/n)! You think I’m cute,” he teased, drawing out the end of ‘cute’. You turned firetruck red, looking anywhere except for him.
“Yeah, I did. But it doesn’t change anything, kay? We’re going to space in three days, I can’t ruin that now,” you explained, finally looking up to meet his eyes.
Imagine you and Chris sending out ‘Save the Date’ cards.
A/N: Epilogue 😊 And don’t worry, no break needed this time. Chapter 5 is being written as we speak, and I cannot wait to share it with all of you. ❤️❤️❤️You can read the related mini-series and the previous parts here: (Mini-series - Masterlist; Mini-series Spin-off: ‘Unexpected Reader’, ‘Little Ways Away’, and ‘She Said Yes’ - Masterlist; ‘Miss Graduate’: Part 1/Part 2A/2B/2C/Part 3/Part 4/Part 5A/5B/5C)
Sunday was spent writing 'Save the Date’ cards at the Gucci headquarters. Why at the Gucci headquarters? Well, Gucci and their visual design team kindly offered to design your 'Save the Date’ cards seeing as you were marrying one of their spokespeople. They even offered to do the wedding invitations, except that task had already been snatched up by Kevin Feigi who was pulling some major strings with Disney so the two of you could have a Disney themed invite.
You’d discussed having a full blown themed wedding, but decided against it after looking at themed weddings on Pinterest. Classy and elegant with subtle hints- like a classic white and gold wedding invitation that had Mickey and Minnie’s silhouettes as a watermark, and the Disney castle in gold glitter on the header. That was more your speed, and anything you liked- Chris loved; he just wanted to marry you. As much as you both liked Disney, you both were in agreement when it came to not wanting the best day of your life to look like a children’s birthday party.
Your wedding was to happen on the 28th of September as the two of you met on the 28th of February. You joked saying you picked the twenty-eighth so Chris could “have an easier time remembering our anniversaries.” His response “I could never forget the best days of my life” rendered you speechless, leaving you to do the only thing you could when he bested you; kiss him.
“Thank you so much, Adriana,” you squeezed her hand. Adrianna was the head of the design team and the one that came up with the elegant black and gold 'Save the Date’ cards; 'Save the Date: 28th of September - Chris Evans and Y/N Y/L/N are tying the knot’ written in breathtaking calligraphy. “We can’t thank you and your team enough. Aren’t they beautiful, Chris?” You held up a card for him to see, chuckling when you saw him lost in his thoughts.
It didn’t look like there was anything negative on his mind, after all there was nothing to complain or worry about- he’d everything he’d ever wanted. You’d finally agreed to end the long engagement and was starting to plan the wedding with him. You’d also met with Emilia and had a discussion about your future in Hollywood if you were to write your love story.
Emilia had given you a rundown at the meeting, explaining that it would be at least three years of focus on one piece. First you had to write the script, until you did that- there was nothing to proceed with. But once you had your piece, you could start pitching; you could decide on a production company, and find the right director to tell your story. After that, the company you signed with would sort out the copyright, movie rights, and other legal issues before you moved on to the financial budgeting, location scouting, and casting. There was a ton to do, but like Emilia reminded you before you left her office, “the script is the most important thing. We cannot start the process if you don’t write the script. Whether or not you choose to sell your story to Sony Pictures, I urge you to start writing. This could be the next big thing, the last thing you want is for someone to swipe it from you.” When she said that, the angst built in the pit of your stomach.
That had always been a concern, it’d been a concern for you since you started posting on Tumblr. You were always worried about someone stealing your ideas and stories, sometimes it’d even keep you up at night. There were times where you’d find other writers posting scarily similar stories to yours, forcing you to consider shutting down your Tumblr to protect your intellectual material. Then Chris would sit you down and remind you that “people can steal your ideas, but they can’t steal your talent.” So though Emilia words worried you, you knew Chris was right. You could wait a little while, get through the wedding and the honeymoon first then get to work when January rolled around. You already had Emilia’s attention and promise that she’d have you in whenever you’d finished writing.
The thing you didn’t tell Emilia, or Chris- for obvious reasons- was you’d already written the story. It wasn’t in script form, but it was done and ready to be turned into a script. You were a writer, you wrote about everything so the story began the second you met Chris. You may not have always shared what you wrote with people, but you wrote about everything- all your experiences; the good, the bad, and the wonderful. You kept it a secret because you wanted to marry Chris first, you knew if you told him- he’d put you and your dreams first, rushing everything else so you could get to work as soon as possible. But you didn’t want to rush your wedding or your honeymoon, you didn’t want to rush what was most important to you: Chris.
He tapped the blank card and gold pen in his right hand, and his left clenched fist, against the table’s glass surface as he continued to lose himself in his thoughtless daydream. It wasn’t until you waved a hand that he snapped out of it and gave you one of his adorable smiles. You found yourself smiling too as you held up the card to which he nodded at with the same smile, “that looks awesome. Sorry,” he chuckled, releasing card and pen from his grip. “I’m just thinking.”
“About what?” You asked, leaving Adriana and her team to continue their work to walk over to Chris. He wheeled his chair back, patting his lap; you shook your head because you were surrounded by people and not in the privacy of your own home. “Is everything okay?” You quizzed, taking the empty chair next to him.
“Everything’s perfect,” he assured you, taking your hands. “I’m just daydreaming, nothing important’s running through this chunk of wood.” He knocked on his head and you giggled, squeezing his hands. “I don’t know, I think I’m just daydreaming about our wedding. I mean- it’s in three months, that’s insane.”
“It is,” you nodded, smiling. “And it’s weird, 'cause just a few days ago when we discussed getting married- I felt so blindsided. But now, I’m okay. I’m ready to do this, like- I want to get married and play house with you,” you joked and he laughed. “Speaking of house, are we thinking of moving back to Boston after we get married or are we going to stay here?”
“I think we focus on the now first,” he answered. “Let’s just get through the wedding and go enjoy our honeymoon, then when we come back- we’ll sort out everything else. We don’t know where your upcoming job is going to need you, I think we make a decision based on that.” You nodded with pursed lips, feeling guilty about lying about the status of your story. “What’s wrong?”
“If I tell you something, will you promise not to react the way you want to?”
“I can’t promise you anything if I don’t know what you’re talking about, sweetheart.”
“You got me there,” you chuckled softly and he nodded, smiling. “I just- It’s not a big deal, so don’t freak out when I tell you that I actually…” You trailed off, then mumbled under your breath, “finished writing the story already.”
“What?” He frowned. “What do you mean you’re finished?”
“I wrote about us in real time, Chris,” you explained. “Whatever happened, I wrote as it happened. But I didn’t write with an intention to do anything about it, it was just for us. I don’t know, maybe even for our future children.” He ran a thumb over his bottom lip as he pondered for an appropriate reaction. “I didn’t tell you because I didn’t want to feel like we had to rush things. I know you want this for me, but I want you more. I could never do anything that would jeopardize my time with you just to become a famous screenwriter.”
“So what you’re saying is you went behind my back instead, lying 'cause you felt like you had a better perspective of what we needed as a couple.” He raised a brow, trying not to smile; you nodded sheepishly. The two of you really were too similar. “Oh sweetheart,” he chuckled and hugged you. “I made the right choice marrying you.”
“I made the right choice marrying you too,” you smiled, kissing his cheek as he pulled away. “Emilia said she’d meet with me whenever I’m done, and I am- I’ve only got to convert it into script form. As soon as we return from our honeymoon, I’ll do that and I’ll go meet with her and start walking the path you so selflessly found for me.”
“Sounds like a plan, my future Mrs. Evans.” His smile reached his eyes when he said 'Mrs. Evans’. You chuckled, baring your perfect teeth as you grinned. “A perfect plan,” he leaned forward and pressed his lips against your forehead.
A lot of people here are shitting on the girl squad, calling them bad friends because they are not immediately guessing what’s wrong with Sana and according to all of you, they should know exactly what’s going on based on Sana’s angry face and desire and lack of participation in anything.
They have asked her what’s wrong, directly. Sana refuses to tell them what’s up. Noora has tried to approach her and Sana keeps avoiding the issue and using exams as an excuse. They try to include her in everything, otherwise they wouldn’t be messaging her in the group chat. Eva asked her to join them at McDonalds and so did Noora. Noora said she quit the bus because she can’t be bothered if she isn’t there. Chris asked her point blank as well. The only one that hasn’t really bothered is Vilde (I’m sure that will be explained eventually).
Remember they didn’t press Noora either, to speak about William (Sana eventually did because it looked like Noora was ready to talk). None of the girls know what’s going on with Noora either. They didn’t really know what was going on with Eva back in season 1, either. They wouldn’t have known what was going on with Vilde if Vilde hadn’t been open about her issues either.
What sucks is that Sana is aiming her anger at the wrong people. The girl squad (at least for now Chris, Eva, and Noora) none of them know of what’s going on and Noora certainly has no clue about the Yousef situation. People keep saying she should know… No, she shouldn’t. I don’t expect my best friends to read everything that goes in my mind, especially when I don’t make it obvious. If they ask me and I don’t want to talk about it, they step back and give me my space (as the girls are doing), until I’m ready.
At this point, it’s unfair to say the girls don’t care, because they have shown concern. Especially Noora. Sana is going through a rough time and of course she feels like the best way to deal with it is to isolate herself, but I really do hope that eventually she decides to open up and trust her friends; because so far at least 3 of them have proven themselves not to be snakes.
imagine jim staring into the face of the man he has started to call father; imagine jim slowly and stuttering telling chris about his past, how tarsus iv had pillaged his soul and turned in blacker than the cosmic oceans jim holds so close to his heart.
imagine jim slowly breaking down into tears but sitting straight and his face blank as chris just slowly stands from his hair, and jim is terrified because he thinks chris is about to chuck him from his office because he thinks jim is disgusting.
but chris doesn’t, he gets to his knee in front of jims chair and rests a hand on jims quivering shoulder and says; “it’s going to be okay, son,” and he laces a hand around the back of jims neck and draws jim into a hug, feeling how jim shakes and wets his shoulders with his sobs and chris has to bite his lips to stifle his own tears.

“I don’t appreciate feeling like a freaking housewife from the 60s all the time!” Chris yelled.
That wasn’t the reason they had started fighting, though, and they had already said a lot of things they shouldn’t have. And now, somehow, they had ended up here, fighting about vacuuming and laundry.
“No one’s asking you to clean!” Darren yelled back.
“Oh, you’d ask if you didn’t know I’d do it eventually anyway! This place would look like…”
“What, Chris? What would it look like if you just let go of control for once and let me take care of things? Cleaning is not brain surgery, I know how to use the washing machine!”
“Then why don’t you? Ever? I’m just as busy as you and yet it’s always me who makes the effort of making our apartment livable. I’m sick of it, Darren! I’m not someone who’s willing to do everything just so you can sit on your ass! If you want someone like that then I suggest you go pick up one of your fans!”
It came out in all the wrong ways but Chris didn’t even try to take it back. There was no use, it was said and there was some truth behind it.
