child harvesting

He reminded me of the wooden nesting dolls I’d played with as a child.

laughlikesomethingbroken  asked:

I humbly beg entrance to the Birthday. I bring with me unfinished paintings, unwritten and untold tales, and skirts sewn by the aunt I was named for. Also, if we can harvest the corn, though I doubt we can, I make a mean southern cornbread.

…THE CORN IS NOT FOR HARVESTING, BIRTHDAY CHILD, AS THERE IS ETERNITY SPENT IN A PARTY WHICH IS NOT ALWAYS PLEASANT, BUT IS ALWAYS PLEASING, AND THERE IS ETERNITY AFTER IRRITATING THE CORN.  WE WOULD PREFER THAT YOU AVOID THE SECOND.  THERE ARE OTHER SOURCES OF CORN.  LESS…DEADLY ONES.

WELCOME.

HERE IS YOUR PLACE AT THE TABLE.  HERE IS YOUR CONICAL HAT.  HERE IS A BOX OF PATCHES.  STITCH THEM TOGETHER, IF YOU HAVE THE DESIRE, AND SEE WHAT WONDERS YOU CAN CRAFT.  WE BELIEVE IN YOU.

WELCOME TO THE BIRTHDAY.  WELCOME TO THE BIRTHDAY.  WELCOME TO THE BIRTHDAY UNENDING.

Just finished Destiny’s stream with Sargon

The guy literally advocates for flooding the country with illegal immigrants to suppress wages.  So that multi-billion dollar companies make more.  And then redistribute that extra wealth to all the native workers they just put out of a job and/or kept in poverty.

He is entirely happy creating a serf or slave caste in America.  And he’s entirely fine if other countries do it too, so long as it means his consumer products are cheaper, like the terrible fucking conditions in Guatemala or China.

This guy sees no problem with utilizing child labor to harvest cocoa beans in Africa, because it means chocolate and coffee is 10% cheaper.

This man is fucking evil.  He doesn’t care about people, he only cares about ‘groups’ and ‘net gain’.  He literally views the world as if he’s playing something like Sid Meyer’s Civilization.

Jesus christ.

so too shall springtime call

AO3: So Too Shall Springtime Call

When the nightshades of their kingdom begin to fade with the startling warmth that sings through though the veils of death, Shiro knows that their time has come to an end.

When the snows of the lands above melt away and trickle into the rivers and creeks, when the ice drips from dormant trees and cracks under the coming heat of spring’s delight, it means that Lance’s time to be spent with his husband, the god of the rivers that lead to an afterlife in the meadows beneath the soils and the crops, has drifted once more to the final pass.

I tried ᕕ( ᐛ )ᕗ  and I know they’ll be great moms~

I was so psych when in Tale of Two Towns you actually could marry Alisa. And, I know that it’s because her faith/devotion to the Harvest Goddess that she isn’t allow to have a child, but… I mean, Harvest Goddess shows up and flat out gave her her blessing to get married, so why couldn’t she just… I dunno, magically beam up an adoptive child at the very least?

I always forget how Deep Breath is one of the darkest Doctor Who episodes  ever. I mean, it’s got:

  • Implied child organ-harvesting
  • An ambiguous ending providing the viewer the choice of whether the Doctor committed murder or the villain committed suicide
  • Clara and the Doctor both wearing masks made from human faces
  • Up recreated with a balloon of human skin
  • Paralleling the Doctor and regeneration to serial organ-harvesting robots
  • Strax attempting suicide
  • Vastra killing and eating criminals (granted, not a new one, but in more detail)
  • Clara having to hold her breath to survive for so long that she falls unconscious
  • Clara bargaining her own life to try to avoid being tortured or giving up information
  • A robot who removes the human hand it usually uses and hangs it on its coat when not in use so it can torture Clara with a flamethrower
  • DID I MENTION THE IMPLIED CHILD ORGAN-HARVESTING???

leo disperses the light, and virgo becomes the guardian of the light. leo is the inner child’s stage, hugged by the cancer mother and virgo, the keeper of the child, the mother of harvest. both cancer and virgo helped to ‘birth’ the first solar system, the moon ruling cancer in exoteric astrology and virgo estoerically. grounded in the fertility of earth, virgo is the carrier of divine spirit, the seeds the mother harvests being the seed of implantation. they carry a spirit that longs to serve and disperse all sacred grace, while pisces is saving humanity, virgo is capable of personal salvation
