Song of the day #126- Chick Corea and Bobby McFerrin - Armando’s Rumba

Here are two amazingly talented performers that are so well developed with their craft that there is so much freedom in their work. I saw Bobby McFerrin live at Lincoln Center in New York City and it was one of the most inspirational performances of my life and career. You have to see him Live. He improvises EVERYTHING. The organization of his performances are even improvised. He just sings whatever he feels at that moment in time.

Chick Corea has distinguished himself as one of the prominent pioneers of modern jazz that is made today. He is most well known for Return to Forever in the 70’s. Together, these two performers fly with ease and such dynamics. Its impossible to watch this and not be amazed.

Song of the day #125- Mungo Jerry - In the Summertime

Piano duo from the masters at the 1989 Mt. Fuji Jazz Festival

(Don’t miss Herbie’s Jerry Lee Lewis-like riff at 1:40. Absolute brilliance.)
