chicago zine fest 2013

Chicago Zine Fest haul! I believe I was able to get all of this amazing art (and inspiration for weeks to come) for under 7 dollars. I spent the majority of my visit with a grin from ear to ear, running around giddily while my boyfriend held my coat and tried to catch up (Shout to you, Alex!). I am in love with everything pictured and everything else I was able to see. Well done, zinesters!

Pictured: 6 zines, 5 stickers, 3 buttons, 3 business cards, 1 bookmark, 1 print

Chicago Zine Fest 2013 Part III

So here are just a handful of scans of sketches that were placed in my “leave a drawing” box at Chicago Zine Fest. There were so many more than this, and I am sorry I didn’t scan them all, but I only had time to get some of them.

So a HUGE thank you goes out to everyone that stopped by my booth at Chicago Zine Fest 2013 - to leave a drawing, or to browse my zines, or to take some free crap, or to even purchase something (wow!), and of course to all of the organizers of the event, because it was so much fun and I can’t wait until next year!

See you at Chicago Zine Fest 2014!

Chicago Zine Fest 2013 Part II

So I had two boxes on my table - one labeled “Take A Drawing,” in which I had placed a stack of free (mostly) original drawings (there were some prints and some trading cards too), and another labeled “Leave A Drawing,” in which I had placed a stack of blank paper and pens and markers - and the response was so awesome!

I was so pumped at how many people stopped at my table to take some free crappy drawings by me, and leave original drawings of their own! It was so awesome! I actually kinda felt like I was ripping the people off because I was walking away with tons of original works of art for free! I probably had around 50 drawings by the end of the day!

So here are just a few shots of people who stopped and sketched out some great originals! Thank you to all of you, you made the day really a lot of fun!

some drawings to follow…
