Last summer my sister came down from Buffalo to visit and I had a few requests. One of them was Chiavetta’s wing sauce. Now usually you’d use this to marinade chicken on a grill but this time, I putting it in the crock pot. Here’s what I used:
a packet of large boneless chicken breasts
¾ Cup of Chiavetta’s Marinade
S + P as you like
bag of small red bliss potatoes (optional)
Spray your slow cooker with cooking spray and arrange the potatoes on the bottom of the pot if you are using them. I like to do this because it elevates the chicken and sort of steam cooks it. Then add your chickens, salt and pepper them and pour the marinade in.
(Trader Joe’s for everything ftw.) Cook on low for 5 hours and that. is. it. Done. Serve shredded on a big roll or with a nice spinach salad. Or with broccoli slaw. It’s so good!!
