chelsea through and through

Chelsea, through and through. Favourite quotes part 1:

“This club becomes you. Once you’ve played for it, you’re always welcomed back for the rest of your life, so you become Chelsea and it becomes you.” - Frank Lampard
“You know, I’m a Chelsea fan, I’m Chelsea.” - Joe Cole
“You can take a player out of Chelsea, but you can never take Chelsea out of a player.” - Didier Drogba
“I gave Chelsea fans what they wanted, a dream. And they gave me what I was dreaming of too.” - Gianfranco Zola

I don’t think there are any words that can adequately describe John Terry and what he has done for this club over the past 22 years. We will never have another like him, he is Chelsea through and through. We have been so lucky to have a player who is willing to give absolutely everything for his club. I am so thankful that I’ve been able to witness his time as a blue - the goals, the celebrations, the trophies, the leadership.

Thank you for everything, JT. I’m already waiting to welcome you back to the bridge with open arms in whatever capacity you wish.

Good luck in the future.

fans when a new season start

this man doesn’t always get the credit he deserves, he is chelsea through and through, one main big difference between him and the other ‘millionair’ owners is that he truly loves and breathes this club, he bought this club because he was a chelsea fan and not as an ‘investment’ for the name and the glory it brings to ‘own’ a football club, he is so commited to this club, he visits the matches whenever he can, going to training sessions, wearing his 50$ chelsea jackes, having a $5 dollar chelsea sticker on his phone, celebrating the glorious days (cl 2012 final anyone?), crying with us on the lesser ones he loves this club so much, i’ll always be so grateful for having an owner like him who truly cares about our club.

On this day in 2001, Frank Lampard signed for Chelsea.

His first words when he joined were:
“I think I can take my game on from here and win a lot of medals with the club.”

The photos show his journey, from this very day (14th day of June) in 2001, to 2013. His journey in that Blue shirt he loves so much, and wears with pride. His march to Legendhood. Where he was then, a young lad who wanted to win, and where he is now, 34 years old, his trophy cabinet full of winners’ medals and honours. The greatest goal-scoring midfielder, not only in the Premier League, but in the entire world. We love you Lampsy, ya know we do! As they say, Legend starts with an ‘L’ and ends with a ’D’, so does Lampard!

Through Ryu’s Lens: José does it again

Parisian fans have swooped past frustration and sit in their city with nothing but existential angiush. Oh, what could have been. This was their year, and it was led by the mighty Zlatan. That is, until he was reminded of his humanity and sidelined with an injury.

Through Ryu’s Lens: Blues in Black

It was a bright and sunny day in London. A rarity for Chelsea faithful. Matchday was made even better when Mourinho’s men stole 3 points in the dying minutes of the match against Everton. Nevertheless, Ryu brought out his camera and turned the lights down low at Stamford Bridge.
