There’s something beautiful about the summer- they way it creates a new version of reality where music sounds better and happiness feels sweeter. Parties can give the same kind of feeling where nothing feels real, but all of it feels great. Well, until the next morning.
This makes an end of the summer party the pinnacle of a new reality. Inhibitions run low and everything else is on overdrive. In a week they will all be students again, studying to ensure the best future possible. But for tonight they are 60% alcohol and 40% bad decisions.
“Y/N!” Jess squeals with excitement, running towards the girl who just entered the room. She had been away visiting family abroad for the majority of the summer, and while the beaches had given a whole new meaning to the word ‘paradise’, this was where she was truly happiest.
“Jess!” she returns the enthusiasm, hugging her best friend tightly. The warm breezes that blew in through her window every morning this past summer brought her comfort, but this was home.
“I want in,” Justin grins, approaching the two and enveloping them between his arms.
“God I’ve missed you guys,” she sighs contentedly.
“You have so much third wheeling to catch up on,” Jess teases light heartedly.
Her face twists up unpleasantly at the thought. She loves both Jess and Justin dearly, but she does not love the thought of third wheeling. “With all due respect, I think I’ll pass.”
“Is that Y/N Y/L/N?!” a fourth voice enters the picture, causing the trio to part and turn towards the person walking towards them.
Jeff Atkins. Baseball star and literal ray of sunshine with the face of an angel and the body of a Greek God.
“Hey, Jeff,” she laughs, walking away from Jess and Justin to meet him halfway.
“I haven’t seen you in forever,” Jeff grins warmly, brushing her arm with his hand. It’s a sweet gesture. He’s always been so sweet.
“It’s only been like two months,” she mirrors his grin. It’s impossible not to smile back at someone who radiates warmth the way he does.
“Feels like forever though. Especially since I was used to seeing you everyday at school. You look nice by the way,” he bumps her shoulder.
“I missed you, too,” she chuckles, “I look like I always do.”
She bites her lips together before looking down shyly and letting them fall apart into a smile. Jeff Atkins was so genuinely good in a way that was uniquely him.
“Jeff!” Troy yells from the outside patio, “Beer pong, now, c’mon man!”
“Coming!” Jeff yells back to Troy, but turns back to her before walking away. “Come watch us play? You can practice cheering me on for baseball season,” his mouth twists into a smirk.
“Who says I’m gonna come to your baseball games?” She challenges playfully, using quick wit to redeem herself from the shy smile.
“Don’t break my heart, Y/N,” he pouts childishly, walking backward to join the boys for a game of beer pong but not breaking eye contact with her. He finally turns away from her to exit the house and join those outside, but not before mouthing a “pleaasssseeee” and sticking out his bottom lip.
“I’ll be there in a second!” she yells so he can hear her over the music.
His pout transforms into a grin before he disappears through the threshold, indicating that he heard her.
“So how about a double date instead of third wheeling?” Justin and Jess approach her with Justin wiggling his eyebrows suggestively.
“Oh shut up,” her face heats up at the thought, “He’s a nice guy. He’s friendly with everyone.”
“Yeah, but he doesn’t flirt with everyone,” Jess interjects, crossing her arms over her chest vindictively.
“He didn’t ask me to cheer for him,” Justin fakes offense, “Honestly I’m a little hurt.”
“Fuck off, Justin,” she laughs loudly, putting her hands over her face.
“You better get out there,” Justin presses, gesturing to the sliding door, “After all, it’s mine and Jess’s two month anniversary so an intense make-out session could happen at anytime.”
“Bye!” she turns on her heels quickly, running away from her friends before they could make things awkward, or more awkward.
*** Five cups of jungle juice and two games of beer pong later she’s sitting on a folding lawn chair watching Jeff singlehandedly win a third game of beer pong since Troy had wandered off and was bothering Hannah and Clay.
After sinking another shot, Jeff notices where Troy had gone. A brief look of panic flashes across his face before he mutters a quick, “be right back!”, making a beeline for Troy. Jeff was just about as invested in Clay and Hannah as Clay was in Hannah. She wondered just how much better off the world would be if everyone had the same heart as Jeff.
“Did you save the day?” she asks upon Jeff’s return. She’s quite drunk and seeing two of everything, including two Jeffs. How wonderful would that be? A world with two Jeff Atkins. Incredible.
“I don’t know about that,” he chuckles modestly, “It’s up to Clay.”
“Meanwhile that beer run is up to you, buddy” Troy points out, his words slurring together.
“Later man,” Jeff replies, picking up a ping pong ball.
“Because you definitely need more alcohol,” she rolls her eyes at Troy, a sick feeling blossoming in her stomach.
“Don’t be a buzzkill, Y/N,” Troy retorts.
“Hey, relax,” Jeff snaps at Troy, “you’ll get your beer.”
The sick feeling in her stomach intensifies tenfold. She doesn’t want him to go, but she can’t beg him to stay. He’s not drunk, he would never jeopardize his life or anyone else’s so recklessly. But something about it still doesn’t feel right. He shouldn’t go.
She stands up, wobbling slightly. She grabs the back of her lawn chair to steady herself before heading back for the house. The twisting in her stomach is ominous in a way that refuses to be ignored.
“Where’re you going?” Jeff asks, his eyebrows knitting together.
“I need another drink,” she mumbles, brushing past him.
*** Three shots and a game of suck and blow later she’s feeling light and airy. All the anxiety from earlier has been replaced with a tingling feeling that reaches her feet. She’s quite hammered, and all the slip ups in suck and blow have her laughing and her sides aching. She’s starting to get lightheaded.
“I’m gonna go get some air,” she gasps in-between fits of laughter.
“Can you even walk?” Jess giggles.
“I’ll crawl if I have to,” she shrugs, stumbling her way out the door.
*** There’s nothing like the refreshing sensation of cool air hitting your skin after being cooped up in a house full of drunks, especially when you’re drunk yourself. The feeling of a breeze on her face is intoxicating in its own right, so she continues to walk around the outside of the house until she reaches the front.
There’s someone else at the front of the house, too. She can only see their back as they walk towards the row of cars, but she knows who it is. Suddenly she remembers why she felt the need to down three shots of vodka.
“Atkins,” she calls out, stumbling a bit as she walks forward.
He turns around at the sound of his name, smiling when he sees who it is. “Hey, you. Looks like you got that drink you wanted,” he laughs lightheartedly at her shaky balance.
“You making that beer run?” she asks, wringing her hands together nervously.
“Yeah. I’m not even a little buzzed, don’t worry,” he says soothingly.
“Stay,” she says softly.
“Huh?” he tilts his head to the side.
She continues to walk forward until she’s standing right in front of him, her weight falling to the side enough to make her falter. He reaches out to steady her, keeping a firm grasp on her side. She places her hands on his chest to steady herself before locking her eyes on his.
“Stay,” she repeats.
“Y/N, it’s okay I’m completely fine I promise. I only had two beers like two hours ago,” he assures, his voice gentle.
“I know, but it’s not like anybody needs anymore alcohol. I’m one of the more sober ones right now and that says a lot. Honestly I don’t even know how I made it out here on my own,” she sighs, “Just stay, please. ”
He looks at her softly, his eyes studying the worry etched onto her face. She feels so delicate in his grasp, like a porcelain doll that could shatter with too much pressure. He has always been enamored with her.
“Okay,” he moves his hands to hold her face, “I’ll stay.”
She lets out a heavy breath, letting her forehead rest against his chest and wrapping her arms around him. Maybe she was worrying over nothing, maybe she wasn’t, but she’s unexplainably relieved at those words.
“You gotta promise to watch me play baseball though,” he teases.
“I’ll be there every game with a sign that has your name on it,” she laughs, tilting her chin up to look at him.
“You gotta stop looking at me like that,” he shakes his head,“I might just fall in love with you.”
“Don’t get my hopes up.”
“Don’t leave for two months at a time,” he counters, grinning boyishly.
“I’d stay right here forever if I could,” she tightens her arms around him.
“I’d kiss you if you weren’t like 10 drinks deep right now,” he laughs, rubbing her back gingerly.
“Let’s go inside. I need to get sober. Right now. Immediately,” she pulls away, grabbing his hand to tow him behind her. Their laughter echoes down the empty street as they run around to the back of the house.
There’s something beautiful about the end of summer- the way things begin to feel more permanent. A simple request can change so much. All he had to do was stay. And he did.
Request:I would like to request an imagine where y/n is Tony’s best friend there very close but Jeff has a crush on y/n so one day in gym class Jeff talks to tony about y/n when y/n talks to Clay cause there good friends too . So tony gives good wording about Jeff then he leaves them alone in a group in gym class they bond and he walks her home spending time in his house and while they were talking somehow they ended up cuddling and he asks her out.
“You look ridiculous in those shorts”
“Shut up Tony, your smaller than me so you have no say so in my gym clothes.”
He puts his hands over his heart and fake cries “Ouch y/n, way to burst a mans ego”
I playfully push him as we walk into the gym. There are a few guys playing basketball and volleyball, girls walking around the gym talking, some girls practicing their cheer routine, and other people just sitting on the bleachers. That’s what me and Tony do until gym class start in 10 minutes.
“You’re still driving me home right?”
“Yeah, cause after I have to take it to the shop and it’s right by you.”
I roll my eyes, “You and that damn mustang” I laugh.
“You can never take a car to serious miss.”
“Yeah whatever auto boy”
“Don’t ever say that again please”
We both laugh and start talking about the game next week. As we are talking, Tony’s friend Jeff comes and sit down next to us.I don’t know much about him, but I know he’s close to Clay and Tony. I know he’s surprisingly not an ass like the other jocks.
“Hey what’s up Tony”. They do their ‘boy’ handshake and then he glances at me and smiles.
“Hey y/n” I looked at him surprised. I didn’t even know he knew me. We aren’t what you call, in the same ‘popularity range’ not that he seemed to care. As I looked at him I never realized how cute he was up close. That sounded kind of creepy.
“Hey Jeff” I smile.
“What are you guys up to?”
“Nothing we were just talking about the game next Friday”
“Oh, well thanks to Clay I can play” he smiles at me. I look away, not wanting him to see me obviously blushing at his look.
As soon as he said that, we heard a thud on the gym floor. We look and see Clay laying on the floor holding his head. Of course, leave it to Clay to get hit with a ball.
“Oh Jensen” I whisper. “I’ll be right back guys, I need to give Clay tips on catching the ball with his hands and not his head.”
As I bounce down the bleachers, I here the guys laughing at my statement. I jog to Clay and help him up.
“I fucking hate gym” he whispers.
“I’m sure gym hates you too” I laugh.
“It’s that obvious huh?”
“Very much so” I laugh.
“What are you guys talking about up there?”
I look back up to the bleachers and see Jeff quickly snap his head back towards Tony as they continue their conversation. He was looking at me. I smile to myself.
“Hello,earth to y/l/n”
“Sorry, just school stuff, come up and sit with us unless you want these balls to keep kicking your ass.”
He rolls his eyes, but starts walking towards the bleacher, knowing I’m right. When we get there Jeff is red and Tony is just staring at me. We all start talking and laughing. Jeff is in the middle of talking to Clay about his sad love life when Tony turns to me.
“Hey y/n um.. I’m not gonna be able to drive you home today.”
“What the hell Tony why? you know I don’t like walking alone”
“Well because, my buddy Jeff is gonna walk you home.”
When he said that, I saw Jeff staring at me, looking somewhat anxious for my reaction. I choose to react coolly although my girly insides were screaming.
“Oh come on y/n/n I honestly think Jeff is pretty good company. You’ll like him.”
I know there was more meaning behind what he said but I didn’t say anything. I look towards Jeff and a still oblivious Clay still rambling about Hannah and smile.
“Okay, yeah why not.”
Me and Jeff walk together in silence side by side while my hands are on my book bag and his in his front pocket. It’s so silent it’s almost laughable. I decide to break the silence, but so did he.
We laugh and he looks down at me.
“Sorry you first.” With his eyes still on me I continue.
“So did Tony really blow me off, or was it his lame excuse to get us to walk together?”
“I’m the guilty one. I wanted to get to know you and wanted us to be alone.”
I look away to hide my goofy smile and pull my hair behind my ear. I start to smell that dampy air and know rain is about to come.
“Well that’s honest of you.”
“Why thank you miss.”
He brings up the dance and ask if I was going with anyone. When I was about to say no, it started pouring down out of nowhere.
“Shit, its coming down hard!”
I use my sweater to cover my hair, but I can already feel myself getting soaked and my house is still about 6 blocks away.
“My house is right around the corner if you want to wait for it to settle down!” he yells over the rain. I think about it and its better than getting even more soaked.
We jog to his house, and I sigh in relieve when we enter the warm house.
“My parents aren’t home if that’s okay.”
“Yeah that’s fine.” I stand there awkwardly, not knowing what to do. He noticed and spoke up.
“Um if you want, we can chill in the living room and watch tv until we dry off so I can continue walking you home.”
“Yeah sure.” I smile. We sit on the couch and Jeff gets a blanket for us to share and to warm up. He turns on Family Guy and we start laughing immediately. I didn’t even realize how close together we became after the second episode. I was leaning into his shoulder with his arm around me and our legs were tangled together on his coffee table. I didn’t know if he realized but I know one thing. I hope we stay like this. I snuggle closer into him and he looks at me.
“I have been wanting to ask you something” he seemed anxious again.
“So ask me.”
“Will you go out with me?”
I don’t even have to think to know my answer.
“Yes” I smile and Jeff breathes out the breath he was holding in and smiles with me.
“Thank god” and he pushes me in closer and smashes his lips on mine.
Thank you for your lovely comments, darlings!!! I hope you like what I did with your prompts!! Enjoy!!! <3
Warning: Hot make-outs, smutty mentions, cute Bughead galore and just me fawning over the bae that is Cole Sprouse.
“We have to go.” Kiss
“Hmm, in a second.” Kiss
“One day – kiss –
we’ll get caught – kiss – and they’ll
definitely expel us.” HardKiss.
“Oh, I’d love to see you, Betty Cooper – kiss – getting expelled over a steamy
make out.” Bite.
Betty just let a breathless laugh, alternating the
angle of her head and dropped her arms to his shoulders, crossing them by the
wrists behind his head. Jughead’s smile grew more in delight against her lips
and he dove in again, pecking her lips hard. They were in one of the dusty
storage rooms of their high school, the smallest one and the one with no
windows, exploring this new-found feeling of being in love and being a couple,
mist old broken chairs and random school supplies. Betty was perched up on an
unused desk that lay against the wall, dressed for her cheerleading practice in
her usual white and yellow t-shirt and dark blue shorts, while her boyfriend
was standing deliciously between her gorgeous legs, school bag, denim jacket
and beanie abandoned somewhere on the floor, kissing her like there was no
tomorrow for God knows how long now.
That was basically they daily routine. Ever since the
two of them overcame their irrational fears of rejection and possible
heartbreak and talked with each other about that kiss that held all of
Jughead’s suppressed emotions all those years, they couldn’t overlook their
mutual feeling of desiring to be together. Three weeks had passed since that
day and, despite of the new challenges they were faced with every day,
regarding their unconventional families and the amorality that seemed to emerge
every once in a while of the core of their small town, the two teens were basking
in the afterglow of their romance with affectionate gestures and heated make
outs. The only cloud shading their Romeo and Juliet fairytale was that
everything was being done in shadows, like a good, concealed secret.
They wanted to tell people; and they would do it. They
weren’t afraid or ashamed, both emotions equally unfair to the
wonderful union that it was them. They just wanted to do it in their own terms,
without excited friends or controlling parents getting in their way, without having
to explain themselves or put labels and boundaries in something that came and
kept growing natural to them. So, janitor’s closets and storage rooms it was.
it was another long boring cheer practice and the squad had been kicked out of our gym and thrown out onto the football field to train with the football team.
it was one of the hottest days of the year and you had to spend the past hour dodging footballs and doing a bunch of different flips and learning cheryls impossible choreography.
you feel breathless doubling over trying to suck in a breathe feeling all types of heat stroke. you bring your head up waving down your red headed captain
“can we like take a break for 5 minutes?” you huff shielding your eyes from the sun.
she glances around at her team half the girls were already sitting on the ground trying to shield themselves from the scorching hot sun
“5 minutes and thats it” she yells out to the whole squad before walking all the way over to me extending a bottle to me “thanks red” i mumble taking a long swig
the siren rings loud indicating an end of a period and cheryl huffs sighing “lets go ladies practice is over” she yells turning and scowling at me
“oh c'mon your not mad at me right?” i ask jogging behind my best friend as she struts off the field whistling from the hormonal teenage boys behind us filling the field
“im not” she replies keeps her focus in front of her “cheryl?” i question stopping in my place only for her to walk off without me.
i groan rolling my eyes taking another long sip out of the icy water bottle when i feel a strong pair of arms wrap around my waist pulling me up
I squeal as the water squirts out of the bottle my feet leaving the grass. i trash around in the strangers arms until im put down familiar giggles filling the air
“reggie you jerk you made me wet” i complain trying to wipe of the water that had spilt on my uniform as i walk next to my boyfriend
archie and chuck snicker a smile growing on my raven haired boyfriends face “baby girl i know i do, maybe you should really be telling everyone” he teases
i roll my eyes pushing his chest “your such a child” i laugh glancing at the three boys sticking my tongue out and spraying them with my water bottle
they yell covering their faces chasing me across he field, i squeal running as fast as my feet carry me until I’m lifted up into the air more and more water pouring on top of me
“STOP!” i yell after they put me down i rush to reggie bury myself into his chest trying to protect myself reggie getting soaked in the process
“ANDREWS! CLAYTON!” i hear coach clayton yell gainging the attention of the three jocks
they drop their bottles looking up at the older man “yes coach?” archie calls back guilt on his face
“maybe we should leave miss (y/l/n) alone so she can get to class, we’ll need her on the field cheering and not in detention”
i find myself giggling pushing my wet hair off my face “lets go” i laugh linking my hands with revives and pulling him toward the locker rooms
i remove my ponytail and let me hair run down my back before facing reggie as he strips off his uniform and changed back into regular clothes
“this was all i had to wear today” i sulk
he turns to me licking his lips as he stares at me “remind me to wet you wore when your in your uniform?” he chuckles
furrowing my brows i look down to se what you can clearly see my black lace bra now that’s the white cotton was drenched.
i playfully smack my boyfriends chest “can you give me something to wear?” i beg pouting, slipping on a pair of denim shorts and removing my white shirt
his eyes dart around the room pulling me into him by my waist “god (y/n) you can’t just strip off what is someone came in” he glances around the room eyes wide panic on his expression
i laugh standing up on my tippy toes and pulling reggie down to connect our lips “you worry too much mantle” he kisses back slipping his hands under my thighs to lift me up on his waist
we continue to kiss gradually getting heated until the should of a locker shutting brings us back to reality
reggie almost drops me still managing to keep my chest out of sight
“wow- andrews what are you doing in here” reggie starts pulling me behind him pulling a shirt over his head
“it’s the locker room reg- im just grabbing my stuff” he chuckles grabbing a fresh shirt before walking away for us laughing at the encounter
reggie turns around digging through his locker, you giggle your hands sliding up his chest “here” he mumbles handing me one of his shirts before dipping down and joining our lips
“reggie this is massive on me” i sulk letting the white t hang just above my knees, he turns and giggles at the sight of me.
i pout crossing my arms in front of my chest “regggg” i sulk dropping my bottom lip.
“im sorry baby girl” he pauses trying to hold back laughter “you are just so tiny compared to me”
he walks back over to you kissing the top of your head “maybe see if the girls have something for you? or you could tie it?” he wraps his arms around your shoulders.
“okay bfg” you poke fun tucking the shirt into your high waisted shorts the raven haired boy puzzled at your statement.
“im a what now?” “a big friendly giant” he narrows his eyes before punching lifting me up into the air swinging me around
“thats it you asked for it”
and after what seemed like the longest tickle fight of your life you both emerge from the locker room hand in hand smiles evident on your faces as you look up to your boyfriend pulling his jacket closer around me body
you were reggies girl

Shared Pain || Bucky Barnes x Reader [[soulmate au]]
[prompt: soulmate au where you and your soulmate share each other’s pain]
i’ve found a loophole with my laptop and am able to type my stories in my email drafts ;w; it’s a pain to do it, but….it makes it hella easier for me to write without wearing out my thumbs and making typos.
there’s going to be two versions of this story/prompt with two different characters. the first one (this one) will be a bucky barnes x reader while the second one will be a peter parker x reader.
consider this a late birthday fic for bucky barnes as I try to get used to writing for him ;w;
that being said, lets delve into this first story shall we?

**don’t repost/plagiarize this story. reblogs are fine**
You didn’t think you had a soulmate because you seldom felt any pain that didn’t originate from your own personal mishaps. If you did have a soulmate, then perhaps he was someone who wasn’t clumsy and had a high tolerance for pain.
But you highly doubted the existence of such a perfect being. After all, everyone could feel pain.
Summary: Y/n is a cheerleader on the River Vixens and
has a date with her quarterback boyfriend, Archie. The only problem is Cheryl
won’t end practice.
Word Count: 1603
Hi~ can you please do a cute archie x cheerleader reader? 🖤
know actually nothing about cheer (even though I have so much respect for the
sport) so I did a tiny bit of research for this. Sorry if I got any cheer lingo
wrong or messed something up. Let me know and I’d be happy to adjust it! //
Also I wasn’t sure if the request wanted a Friday night football game kind of
story so I kind of just did what I thought would be cool, but now I definitely
want to write more cheerleader/football!archie stuff so be on the lookout. (Requests are open!)
mess, don’t mess,
mess with the best ‘cause the best don’t mess!
fool, don’t fool,
fool with the cool ‘cause the cool don’t fool!
the east to the west
Bulldogs are the best!
beat ‘em! B-U-S-T bust ‘em!
‘em, bust ‘em, that’s our custom! Come on Bulldogs readjust ‘em!
You along with the rest of the
River Vixens were breathing heavily after running another cheer, it could
practically be called panting. You were the flyer, with three equally exhausted
bases under you including Betty and Veronica, finished in a liberty position
with your hands in a high v. You’d been practicing for close to four hours –
with no water break. Cheryl was always aggressive but this was a new high even
“That was great ladies,” Cheryl
yelled standing up from her spot on the bleachers. You looked down to Veronica
and Betty and smiled in relief; it’d been a long day of getting yelled at by
Cheryl and this seemed like progress. “Except that it wasn’t. It was actually
terrible,” she walked down the bleachers toward the squad, putting an extra
emphasis on ‘actually’. “My grandmother could cheer that better than you sacks-of-potatoes-with-skirts-and-ponytails
that call yourselves ‘cheerleaders’. And she’s been dead since Obama’s first
term.” Your face fell. You should have known. This was Cheryl Blossom we’re
The bases helped you down and you
all gave each other long, knowing stares with heavy eyes. “I swear to god, I’m
gonna go New York on her,” Veronica threatened. All the Vixens were thoroughly
done with Cheryl for the day. Unfortunately, though, it didn’t seem that she
was done with you.
She pulled out her megaphone for
added drama. It’s not like she needed it. Even if her voice wasn’t extremely
loud and high pitched enough to make dogs bark from a mile away, she was only
standing like fifteen feet in front of you. “Why don’t we run ‘Be Aggressive’.
Is that simple enough for you guys? Can your tiny little pigeon-brains handle
that? And if it’s as bad as the rest of practice has been, it better be because
all of you are puking your brains out or morbidly injured!”
Everyone was parched and needed a
break. You decided it was worth a try. “Cheryl?” All eyes turned to you with
shock and desperation. She cocked her head, egging you on and crossed her arms,
waiting for you to continue.
Normally you would just deal with
Cheryl and imagine something really embarrassing happening to her to make
yourself feel better, but today she had put you in an especially bad mood. You
we’re supposed to be going out with your boyfriend, Archie, soon but it didn’t
look like she had any intention of ending practice in the near future. He was
the school’s quarterback so he would be finishing up football practice any
minute and you guys were supposed to be finished with rehearsal half an hour ago.
“Uh, I was wondering if maybe we
could get some water?” You asked with an especially pathetic expression and
your best puppy dog eyes without being obvious. She gave you a blank expression
and stared at you for an uncomfortably long amount of time. Like 15 Mississippi
“You know what?” she probed, still
using the unnecessary megaphone, “Yes, you girls can get water. But only
because if I have to listen to you imbeciles butcher another simple cheer, I’m going
to Van Gogh both my ears off, and I mean that. Be back in two minutes.”
A couple of girls ran up to you
graciously but most just ran to their water to make the most of the time that
was given. Two minutes in Cheryl-time was pretty different from two minutes in
real-time. Just then, the football team parted ways signaling the end of
practice. Some guys went to their cars but a lot stayed behind to watch the
cheerleaders practice. It was kind of creepy but football normally got out
after cheer so it wasn’t usually a problem.
Archie, jogged over to you with his
gear still on and his helmet in his hand. He smiled at you with crinkly eyes
and ran his fingers through his disheveled copper hair. “How’s my favorite
You forwent an actual greeting and
instead just yelled “WATER,” at him, grabbing the green bottle in his bag with
the Gatorade logo on it and gulped it. It came out a little more desperate and
forceful than intended but you figured he got the general ‘welcome’ message.
When you finally came up for air he looked at you in awe and gave a chuckle, “Well
hello to you too.”
“Sorry, it’s just Cheryl’s been
crazy all practice. This is literally the first water break we’ve gotten.”
“Cheryl? Crazy? How new and
different for her.” He leaned in to kiss you but you dipped out of the way.
“I promise you don’t want to kiss
me Arch, I’m really sweaty.” You handed him the bottle back.
“Yeah, but I’m really sweaty too so
it cancels out,” he leaned in and kissed you softly.
You smiled up at him, “Ah yes,
simple algebra. How could I forget?”
The nice moment you were sharing
was interrupted by the sound of nails on a chalkboard, also known as Cheryl
Blossom’s voice through a megaphone, “ONE MINUTE”.
Your head whipped around back to
your boyfriend. You HAD to get out of this practice, and you had an idea of
“I need you to stomp on my foot
He shook his head in confusion, “What?
Why? You’re kidding, right?”
“Archie please. I don’t have time
for questions. Cheryl is gonna kill me, at least if I don’t get to her first.
Now just please stomp on my foot. With the cleat, she’ll check for damage.”
“You’re not kidding. Y/n! no! I’m
not just going to crush your foot. Are you crazy?”
“Come on!” you pleaded with him.
You looked over at Cheryl. You could tell even from this far away that she was
getting increasingly impatient which meant that you were running out of time. “You
don’t even have to stomp that hard! Just like, leave a mark or something, I’ll
act out the rest!”
“Y/n, I’m not going to stomp on
“Archie,” you widened your eyes at
him and talked slowly and deliberately. “I swear to the lord above if you do
not stomp on my foot, with cleat, right now, then I will not talk to you
for a solid week. I swear.”
He opened his mouth to say
something, contemplating what to do. He really didn’t want to hurt your foot
but he knew that, strangely, you would be really mad at him if he didn’t.
Cheryl’s voice rang from the
megaphone, “LET’S TAKE IT FROM THE TOP VIXENS!”
Archie went against his better
judgment, lifting his foot about two feet off the ground and slammed it down
onto your soft sneaker.
“SHIT!” You buckled over and
grabbed your foot in pain, balancing yourself by holding onto Archie with your
“I’m so sorry. Are you okay? I
really didn’t want to –”
“It’s fine, Arch. That was perfect.
But I will need you to carry me over to Cheryl. She’ll want to see this.”
He put the rest of his equipment in
his bag and lifted you up bridal style and headed towards the cheer squad. “Cheryl’s
going to kill me right?” “Probably.”
She had her back turned to you as
she was yelling at a freshman about how her hair looked unprofessional. “Cheryl?”
You called out to her. She whipped around and her jaw dropped.
“What did you do to my flyer
He cautiously answered her, “I’m
really sorry, I just accidentally stepped on her foot with my cleat…”
“Which foot?!” Her eyes were wide
with rage. You lifted your leg to indicate. She walked swiftly over to you and
roughly pulled off your sneaker, making you wince a bit in pain. Sure enough,
Archie’s cleats had left their mark. Your foot was red and it was obvious you couldn’t
do anymore flying today. She threw the shoe into your hand that wasn’t wrapped
around Archie’s neck. “Next time keep your big clown feet to yourself Boo Boo
the fool.” She turned and walked towards her place in the bleachers. “Get out
of my sight Y/n and put some ice on the foot. It better be healed by next
practice,” she warned over her shoulder.
You looked at Archie, “I think… we’re
free to go.” You looked back at the squad and saw Betty and Veronica getting
into formation to run something. Betty reached her arm out dramatically towards
the two of you and you could see Veronica mouth the words ‘Take us with you’.
You reached back mirroring Betty’s motion as Archie turned away and walked
towards his car.
“At least now we can make our
dinner reservation. I got us a table at this great place called Pop’s. You
probably haven’t heard of it, it’s pretty underground.” Archie quipped.
“Oh yeah? Sounds cute. I really
will need some ice when we get there though. You know you actually stepped on
me pretty bad,” you said to him, knowing how it would make him react.
“Are you kidding me? You forced me
to do it! You threatened me!”
“I’m kidding, I’m kidding relax. I
will need some ice though.”
She watched him from afar. He just looked so perfect. His grey beanie on his head, his concentrated expression while he sat in front of his laptop, his jeans jacket that hugged his body perfectly, his beautiful dark hair. Everything seemed just perfect to her.
But for him, she didn’t exist. She was just another soul between hundreds. She wasn’t extraordinary. She was a girl who liked to sit in the library and disappear in her own world. She was a girl who did anything to get to the college of her dreams.
Jughead Jones was the only thing that did stop her from thinking straight. She knew. She knew that Jughead didn’t live with his family. In fact she knew that he lives in school now.
Y/N’s family wasn’t perfect either. Some nights she would just sneak out and walk around Riverdale. When she saw him at night in the school building she knew. After she saw him at the Twilight Theater, she knew that he wasn’t living where he should live.
And now she was sitting in a booth at Pop’s. And so was Jughead. Jughead actually knew Y/N but she wasn’t anyone special to him. But he knew that she was incredibly smart. Jughead wasn’t a person who showed interest. He was just like a lock. If you didn’t have the key, in that case it would be his trust, he wouldn’t open up to you.
Y/N was done with her homework as she stood up. A rather new waiter was walking in her direction. But then he slipped and Y/N was walking next to Jughead’s booth. In that moment her drink fell on Jughead’s laptop.
Her eyes widened. “Oh my god!”, she said loudly as she took some tissues to help him. “I’m so so sorry! It’s just the waiter slipped and-”, before she could go on further, Jughead stopped her.
“It wasn’t your fault.”, he said and sighed. “Good thing that I save my stuff on a stick as well. But it looks like my laptop isn’t going to make it.”
Great. For the first time she was really talking to him and destroyed his most precious thing. What a great start. “I will buy you another one! I promise.. I’m so sorry.”, she apologized one more time.
“I don’t think that you can afford a laptop unless your last name is Blossom.”, he said and looked at her. “I think I can get it repaired. No worries.”, he assured her that it was okay. “Y/N, right?”
“That’s me. Jughead Jones.”, she smiled at him. “Can I at least buy you a milkshake?”
Jughead smiled at her. “Well I can’t say no to an offer like that, can I?”, he told her.
The next few weeks they ended up talking to each other a lot more. He didn’t know that there was so much more to Y/N than just that smart girl who was the perfect student.
She was a person who was understanding, a little shy and a really good listener. Something about her fascinated Jughead. So he decided write about her. On paper of course. He didn’t know what he wrote. He just wrote the things he noticed about her down. Her actions, her flaws, her attitude. About how she laughed about his jokes. About how she was a really genuine and nice person.
Y/N took a job. She worked after school and sometimes on weekends. She knew that Jughead’s passion was writing and she took his passion away by destroying his laptop. Also: he was really nice to her and they did spend time together a lot. She wanted to give him something back. She also felt guilty about breaking his laptop.
One day they decided to go to the football pitch and lay down on the grass. They watched the stars who were shining brightly that night.
“Talk about yourself, Jughead. You never do that.”, Y/N asked.
“How about you tell me what you know about me already. I find that more interesting.”, his gaze was on the stars while Y/N’s gaze was on him.
“Well.. I know that you are a very creative person.. you’re also a realist and see things different than others. You are generally different than others. But in a good way.”, she stopped and took a slow breath. “Also.. I think that you don’t have a good connection to your family.”
Jughead stopped for a moment and then turned his head to her. “How do you know that?”
“My parents fight a lot.. and sometimes I just sneak out to get away. To get away from them shouting at each other. And one night I saw you at the Twilight Theater and at school.. why don’t you live with your parents?”
“My parents don’t live together anymore. My family is broken and I can’t keep living with my father. He doesn’t care about me or his family. He is drunk all the time. And I just couldn’t live there.”, he told her. For the first time he opened up to her. “My life might not be perfect. But I write my thought down. It helps me not to go insane.”, he sighs. “It’s the only thing in my life that will always stay the same.”
It felt good to talk about that. Sometimes even his laptop couldn’t take that pain away. Y/N moved closer to him. Jughead slowly put his arm under her. Now her head was laying on his chest. She could hear his heartbeat which was beating pretty fast. They lay there in the middle of the night on a football field and talking about their problems.
Y/N talked about how she expects a divorce any minute. It didn’t seem like the situation would get better. And Jughead listened to every word she said to him. Suddenly he wanted so comfort her. He wanted to be there for her. Because she was in a similar situation as him.
After that night they spent a lot of time together in school too. Y/N became Jughead’s getaway. Whenever he needed someone to talk, she was the first person he would talk to. The thought of her not being in his life, pained him. He didn’t want to imagine that. In such a short time, she became a big part in his life.
Jughead was working with Betty on the murder case as Y/N walked in with a bag. “Hey, how’s the work going?”, she asked them and smiled.
“Good.”, Betty answered. She saw that Y/N possibly wanted to talk to Jughead. “Uh.. I have cheer practice! I’ll see you guys around!”, she said and left.
Y/N sat down next to Jughead. “So.. 2 months ago, I broke your laptop. So.. I worked.”, she started.
But before she could go on, Jughead interrupted her. “If this is what I think it is, then I want to ask you one thing: Why? You didn’t have to do this, Y/N.” No one did something like that for him.
“I felt guilty. And I care about you and I know that you really need this laptop. Here is a complete new one. See it as a present from me, Juggie. As an early birthday gift.”
He pulled her close to him and hugged her tightly. “Thank you.. but my birthday is in 8 months.”
She pulled away and looked deep in his eyes. “I don’t care. I want you to have it. And every time you use this, think of me.”, she said and smiled at him.
A week later, Y/N saw Jughead sitting at Pop’s in his usual place. “Hey, Juggie.”, she said and sat down.
“Could you please stay here, I’m going to get us some drinks okay?”, he said and Y/N nodded.
As she saw his laptop background her eyes went wide. It wasn’t just a normal picture. It was a picture of her. A picture of her smiling. But she didn’t look in the camera. She seemed distracted. That must be the moment where he took that picture. But why would she be his background picture?
Jughead noticed that she stared at his laptop. “Uh.”, he said with his drink in his hands.
“It’s okay.. you don’t have to explain. I told you that you should think of me while using this laptop. And that is the best way, right?”
Another night, another night on the football field. The same position as always. Her head on his chest. Her calm breathing was present and so was Jughead’s heartbeat that only Y/N could hear.
Y/N hand reached out for Jughead’s. Jughead sat up and looked at her. “You look so pretty like this. Let me take a picture.”, he said and took a picture. Another inspiration to write about her.
“Really?”, she smiled and held his hand tighter.
“You’re the most beautiful girl I know, Y/N.”, he said. “Really. You are.”
Y/N sat up too and stared at Jughead and moved a little bit closer to him. “Why do you say that?”, she whispered.
“I don’t know. But there is something about you. I don’t know what.. but it’s just there. And I feel so much better with you. Thank you for being in my life.”
And just like that, Y/N pressed her lips on his. She pulled him close. Both of her hands were on his cheeks. Jughead also pulled her close to him. He pulled away. “Why?”
“It’s my way of saying thank you. I’m glad that I destroyed your laptop. I’m glad that I could spend time with you. I..”, she couldn’t finish that sentence. It was hard for her to express love. She never felt that way with a boy before. And now Jughead was there.
“I’m also glad that you did that, Y/N. If it weren’t for you, we wouldn’t be here right now. And.. I.. I love you. That’s what you wanted to say, right?”
She nodded and kissed him again. “Yeah. I love you too, Juggie. I love you with everything I have. That might not be much.. but-”
“That’s everything I need. You being here with me is more than enough.”
Kind of a weird question, but if all the boys had gone to high school together, which ones do you think would have been friends? Or would they have all been in separate friend groups?
I think they would have been in separate friend groups but all interconnected in some way.
Like Liam is sort of a jock and that’s how he knows Niall because even though Niall’s not even on a team (bum knee and all) he’s somehow always at his rugby practices cheering everyone on as a sort of unofficial mascot.
Which is also how Niall know’s Harry because while Harry seems to be a sort of social floater, he’s also the school newspaper’s photographer so he’s always taking pictures of practices and games and Niall’s somehow in every single on of them.
And that’s how Harry know’s Zayn because he has to use the dark room to develop some of his artsier shots and Zayn’s always using the dark room taking naps during his free period even though he told his teacher he was going to work on his art. After Harry and Zayn exchange some friendly conversation about what tattoos they’re gonna get in the future, Zayn will retreat under the bleachers which is how he originally met Louis, the football star and drama student extradtraordinare who can’t be bothered to go to class if it isn’t music, drama, or gym. They smoke together and sometimes Niall will come to join them when he gets bored watching whatever the hell he’s watching. Louis and Zayn would be annoyed by his constant cheeriness and his refusal to partake in smoking (unless it’s of the more herbal variety), but they they sort of love him despite themselves.
Louis eventually always sneaks away from Zayn and Niall and lies about going to pull a prank, but really he’s off to audition for the musical which is how he knows Harry. They’re in all the shows together and because they’re never up for the same roll, they’re sort of comrades in arms who run lines together and practice the choreography when no one is looking even though they’re both dreadful at it.
After tryouts for the musical Harry’s feeling nervous because he really wants a good part so he texts Liam, his lifting buddy, to meet him in the weight room so they can lift together like they often do. Liam doesn’t get Harry’s long hair and skinny jeans, and Liam’s lack of proper grammar in texts is appalling to Harry but they get along really well anyway.
After saying goodbye to Harry, Liam will go home and blow off homework to go next door to Zayn’s who’s his childhood best friend. They grew up together and although they run in different social circles and don’t see each other often at school, they still hang out all the time playing video games and talking shit about how they’re gonna be something someday.
Prompt: Hey! I love your writing so much. I was wondering if you could do a Jughead x Reader where the reader is friends with Betty and Veronica and they dare her to walk up to Jughead and kiss him without saying anything before walking away. He’s really confused but happy because he’s been crushing on her for ages and he asks her out? Thank you!!!
A/N: Why are all my requests always so cute?! I hope you enjoy this. Requests are welcome.
The whole school had been playing some stupid dare game all week.
So far you had been able to keep outta sight even thought it was hard as you were one of the vixens and hung out with Cheryl more than anyone.
The two vixens who were obsessed with the game were the ones you were avoiding.
Betty Cooper and Veronica Lodge.
They were the only two besides your best friend that you had a huge crush on Riverdale’s very own outcast.
Cheryl simply shrugged it off when she find out. It was your secret and she respected you to not put herself in that mix.
Betty and Veronica on the other hand.
They were friends with Jughead and they would try anything to get you to make a move.
Including this stupid game.
“(Y/N)!” Speaking of the girls.
You look up from your book to see B and V grinning down at you.
“What do you want?” You try to keep your voice down as your eyes glance around the student lounge. You knew exactly what they wanted from you.
“We dare you to kiss Juggie!” Betty giggles as she plops down next to you.
“Keep your voice down!” You hiss at the blonde.
“Come on, Girl! Cheryl always says you have the confidence of a damn goddess. Show us just how confident you are.” V whispers and she sits on your other side.
You roll your eyes.
It was true. You were crowned by Queen Blossom herself that you had the most confidence when it came to anything. You simply did that you wanted and never thought twice about what others would think of you.
do it kat. write that narukono time travel fix-it. drag us farther into hell.
*dumps this in front of you as a distraction/tribute*
Naruto is pretty sure he has a
It is absolutely, definitely not
on any of the many assorted women Jiraiya has dragged him to meet in the name of
information gathering, even though he’s sure they’re perfectly nice ladies. But
he’s seen Jiraiya disappear into their brothels a few too many times for
comfort, and even when the pervert tries to hint that he should take one of
them up on their offers to make him a man Naruto just plays dumb.
It’s kind of insulting that Jiraiya
always buys it. Naruto might think at things differently, but that doesn’t make
He’s also not a perv like Jiraiya,
so there’s that, too.
But, the last few times Jiraiya has
been otherwise occupied for the night—which usually means Naruto will actually
be left to his own devices for the next week or so, until Jiraiya has burned
through all of his cash and whatever he can bum off of Naruto—he’s ended up
talking to the same stranger. Never at the same place twice, but—randomly. By the
river washing clothes, or in the market buying dinner, or at a ramen stand that’s
almost as good as old man Teuchi’s,
or at the best camping spot along the road.
After the third time, Naruto thinks
about being suspicious. He and Jiraiya are hardly falling a set path, after
all, and to keep bumping into the same stranger—that probably means something. But—
But he’s nice.
It probably says a lot, that Naruto
is still so unused to people showing him any sort of kindness at all.
“You must have been training
pretty hard,” the man says, the first time they talk. He’s eyeing Naruto’s scorched,
battered clothes with something that might even be respect, and he meets Naruto’s
startled look with a smile as he tugs the blue scarf from around his neck.
“Uh, I try my best!” Naruto says,
offering him a smile in return even as he rubs the back of his head a bit
sheepishly. His clothes are in a pretty horrible state; Naruto isn’t sure he’s
going to be able to patch them enough to wear, though Jiraiya probably won’t notice
either way. He might even start campaigning for Naruto to switch to being a
girl again so they can travel that way. It’s not that Naruto minds being a girl, but he doesn’t want
to play eye-candy for his perv of a godfather. That’s just creepy.
“I could use some practice, if
you want to spar,” the man offers. He grins, and adds, “I’m Kono—uh. I’m Konomaru!”
Well, that was…suspicious. Naruto
eyes him for a second, but when he doesn’t sprout tentacles and fangs or start
monologuing, he figures the guy is probably okay. He’s not getting any weird
vibes off of him, at least, and Naruto even gets those off Jiraiya, as fond as
he is of the pervert.
“Nice to meet you!” he answers
cheerfully. “I’m Naruto!” Jiraiya’s drilled him on not offering a last name—or
his status as a jinchuuriki, but Naruto would hardly tell anyone that willingly under pain of death—while
they’re nominally laying low, so he doesn’t immediately announce his dream,
either. No need to connect all the pieces for him if this guy is an enemy.
But, when he glances up, there’s
no sign of villainous posturing about to start. Instead Konomaru is smiling,
gentle and almost fond as he looks at Naruto, and—
It’s really not a way anyone has ever looked at Naruto before. Not even Iruka
looks at him quite like that.
A little flustered, he ducks his
head, pulling his black t-shirt off and dumping it with the rest of his things
to be washed.
Konomaru promptly makes a noise
like he’s choking on his tongue.
“You okay?” Naruto asks
cautiously, watching him cough and turn red.
“Yep!” the man squeaks, in a
pitch way higher than any Naruto has heard since Kiba hit puberty. He fans his
red face with one hand, still coughing. “Sorry, uh, water. Went down the wrong way.”
Naruto’s fairly certain he wasn’t
drinking, but he just shrugs and goes back to his clothes, debating whether to
get his needle and thread first or just wash them. Probably better to see if
they can be salvaged at all first.
“Are you a ninja too, then?” he
asks, digging through his pack. He’s getting low on thread, but given how
ripped his jacket is from the last time he experimented with the Rasengan, it’s
not going to matter.
“I am!” Konomaru sounds a lot
cheerier. “I even made jounin at seventeen!”
He’s probably a bit over that
now, Naruto thinks. Nineteen, maybe? “That’s awesome,” he agrees, grinning up
at the man. “I’m going to make jounin soon too, believe it!”
“I’m absolutely sure you will,”
Konomaru says, giving him that smile again.
They never get that spar, since Jiraiya
ends up getting kicked out of town for propositioning the headman’s wife while
drunk, but they talk the next few times they run into each other. Each meeting
is a few weeks apart, in different villages, but it’s clear they’re both
traveling and Konomaru is delighted to see him every time.
It makes something warm twist in
Naruto’s stomach, and…it’s not the loud-bright pay attention to me that Naruto felt about Sakura. It’s a little
quieter, a little sharper, and sometimes when it’s dark he lies awake in his
bedroll and just…thinks about Konomaru.
It’s probably definitely a
“You know,” Konomaru says one
night as they’re setting up camp together, Jiraiya back in the town and water
for ramen waiting to be boiled. (It’s Konomaru’s favorite food too, and Naruto thinks
that just makes him even more awesome.) “You said you’re training with a
master, but…I haven’t seen him around.”
“He’s busy,” Naruto says, and
keeps it cheerful through long practice lying about things like that. It’s not precisely a lie, because Jiraiya is
busy, and he’s definitely doing important work, but—
Naruto just wishes that
sometimes their training was more than just being told what to do before Jiraiya
When he glances up, Konomaru is looking
away, scratching at his cheek with a slightly uncertain expression. He swallows
nervously, glancing at Naruto and then away again, and says abruptly, “My—my
name’s actually Konohamaru. Sarutobi Konohamaru.”
Naruto blinks. He takes in the
familiar blue scarf, the faint flush, the face stripped of its baby fat, and—
“Like—like my Konohamaru?” Naruto asks disbelievingly.
Konohamaru flushes further,
ducking down to hide the bottom of his face in his scarf. “I time-traveled to
save you,” he blurts. “And—and I’m going to help you save the world and then I’m
going to save you because—because you’re
Boss and you’re my rival and definitely have to make it to Hokage again so I
can beat you…” He trails off, his face as red as the Hokage’s robes, and makes
a noise of despair. “Oh gods, I screwed it up, that was supposed to sound cool and I totally failed, Boss, I’m so
sorry but you’re so cute like this!”
Naruto is still kind of stuck on
the time-travel and save the world parts.
And the cute part. Definitely that.
But that’s definitely Konohamaru,
loudly berating himself for being so uncool, and Naruto can’t help but laugh. Konohamaru
glances up at him warily, like he’s just waiting for Naruto to take off
running, but Naruto just offers him a smile.
“So where do we start?” he asks
Konohamaru’s face screws up like
he’s about to cry, jounin or not, and he throws himself across the space
between them to slam into Naruto’s chest, wrapping his arms around his waist
and wailing, “Boss is still definitely the coolest!”
There’s heat creeping up Naruto’s
cheeks, but he just swallows and ignores it, patting Konohamaru on the head. “Saving
the world?” he prompts.
Konohamaru brightens. “I have a
list!” he says proudly.
He does indeed have a list. And it
starts with tracking down another jinchuuriki and learning how to make friends with
Naruto definitely gets the
feeling that he’s not going to be bored again for a very long time.
(They leave Jiraiya a note. Naruto
almost feels bad for that. But definitely
not enough to change his mind.)
Can you write something about how Katara asks Zuko do have a staring contest with her and he does and they stare at each other and Katara can't help it and she kisses him then Zuko kisses her back and then they just have a huge make out session instead!
This wasn’t entirely fair.
He technicallyhad only one good eye.
Pride will be your downfall. He could practically hear his uncle saying it.
Pride, this was not. Stubborness…
Zuko couldn’t exactly help it. That infernal, (gorgeous), blue-eyed waterbender caused this, with her batting lashes and little smirks. She had him wrapped around his finger. Everyone knew it… He wasn’t keen on admitting it.
He knew he should’ve stayed away from the fucking game of truth or dare.
She licked her lips —slowly— Zuko felt his eyes widen, then his gaze flicked back to hers. It was a staring contest. Staring meant her eyes. Not her… fucking hell, if he could blink, he would’ve done so exasperatedly. She had an eyebrow raised now, and she’d caught her bottom lip between her teeth.
Zuko growled, “What are you doing, Kat?”
“Nothing.” She shrugged, not even batting an eyelash. “Why?”
Katara’s mouth turned down into a perfectly parted pout. Her lips were wet. The firelight glistened on them, pulling out hues of red and pink. He thought he could make out her tongue behind her teeth. Briefly, oh so briefly, he wondered what she tasted like.
To his left, Sokka chuckled. He heard coins fall from one hand to another, then Toph hissed very loudly:
“Yeah, he’s gonna lose it.”
Zuko almost —almost— snarled at the two of them. Somehow, by the fraction of patience he’d stumbled upon in his life, he kept his focus trained on the waterbender in front of him.
She was smiling. “What will you be losing?”
“Are you sure?” Katara leaned forward, resting her palms on his knees.
They’d already been close. She’d insisted on it the second she accepted the dare from Toph. Zuko realized too late that he’d played right into her hands. He couldn’t say, however, that he regretted it— Certainly, not now.
Her nose was one quick lunge away from his. Her eyes were wide, alert, trained on his with every ounce of her focus, which was entirely distracting for him. He wanted to get lost in those deep, blue pools. Not to mention, her breath— it whispered into the mere inches between them, tickled his lips… which seemed to ache for the feel of hers.
Zuko grit his teeth, making every attempt to spit out ‘I’m sure,’ but his body had a mind of its own.
He suddenly didn’t care that Sokka was standing right there, that Toph was practically cheering on this very moment. He surged forward— a hand flew into her hair and his mouth collided with her lips.
Over the roaring in his ears, he heard Sokka clap his hands. Toph shouted. In his mouth, her felt her sigh, felt her relax, felt exactly what he’d hoped for if he ever went through with something like this.
“God!” Sokka’s outburst made them pull back, though a few more pecks, then, longer pecks, were exchanged “Get a room!”
Katara was smiling, shy and small. Her cheeks burned red. Zuko decided to kiss those, too.
“I think I like you,” he muttered, hot and flustered, but totally elated.
Bughead writing prompt where Betty has a crush on Jughead and she gets jealous and he's entirely oblivious
Hope you like it!!! Thank you for requesting!! <3
“Excuse me, do you know where I can find Jughead
Jones?” four faces frowned at the odd question that echoed over their heads and
stopped their previous cheerful chat on their usual lunch table, Kevin even
mentally counting them in his mind to be sure that all of them were present and
not anyone of their small group of friends was actually the one to be looking
around for Jughead. Nope, Archie was to his side, Betty and Veronica across him;
then who the hell was asking for Jughead?
I turned my head, looking at a sleeping Archie. The sunlight shined off his red hair, making it look as if it was on fire. I moved a piece of his hair off his forehead, memorized by how peaceful he looked while he slept.
“Are you going to watch me sleep all day?” He asked voice raspy with sleep and eyes still closed.
“Maybe, that is if you plan on sleeping all day.” I said, poking his cheek, in which he tried to bite my finger for.
“I don’t, but I couldn’t if I wanted to with you here.”
“You’re welcome!” I said, poking his shoulder, his eyes popped open.
“Will you stop poking me?”
“Come and make me.” He was quick to react once the words left my mouth. He straddled my waist and pined my hands above my head so I couldn’t poke him anymore. “Now that’s not far!”
“You asked for it.” He said, smiling, and brushing his nose against mine. “You look pretty hot in my shirt, I thought I’d let you know.”
“Why thank you, you look hot in it too, but I prefer it off.” I said not being able to contain my laughter.
Then as I’m laughing, Archie started tickling me, making me laugh harder, and harder for me to breathe.
“Archie! Stop!” I gasped out, trying to push his hands away from my sides.
“Why? I love seeing you laugh.” He said, chuckling lightly as he continued with my torture.
“Beca- its cruel!” I finally managed to get his hands away from my sides and pushed him off me and into the floor. “And because of that, you aren’t allowed back up here.”
“You can’t kick me out! This is my bed!”
“Well, I just did.” I sat up, a smug look on my face as I cross my arm over my chest. He looked up at me from the floor and shook his head while laughing.
“Well I’d like to see you stop me.” He cracked his knuckles, devious smile spread across his face.
“Look, I may be smaller than you but that still doesn’t mean I can’t kick your ass.” I state in a matter-of-fact tone.
“I’d like to see you try.” He said, getting up from the floor and tackling me down on the bed, pinning my arms above my head.
“Chill Archie, this isn’t football, this is a relationship.” I said jokingly, lightly punching his shoulder.
“I’m offended, you think I don’t know that?” He gasped, putting his right hand to his chest in fake hurt.
“I’m offended that you resented my banishment.”
“Well I’m offended that you think you can kick my ass.” He fired back.
“Oh yeah?” I flipped us over. “Because I kicked off into the floor, what makes you think I won’t do it again?” He laughed at that.
Before he could say anything else, my phone is going off, I look at it, Cheryl texted me for cheer practice.
“I’ve got cheer practice,” I announced.
“Its Cheryl,” I said, looking back at him. I start to crawl off him and the bed but he grabbed my arm.
“I can’t Archie, she’ll literally kill me.”
“At least give me a kiss before you go.” He begged.
“Fine,” I leaned over him, connecting my lips with his.
“I love you,” he whispered as our lips broke apart.
“I love you too, now let me go.” He pulled me into another kiss.
“Okay,” I crawled away, digging through my bag and changing into my practice shirt and shorts.
I turned around, slinging my bag on my shoulder, Archie staring at me. “What?”
“Nothing,” he answered, smug.
“Okay,” I said, still skeptical of him. “Well, I’ve got to go.” I head for his door.
“Okay,” he watched as I left. “Oh, and by the way, you got a cute butt.”
