Since it's Valentine's Day.(Have the RFA+V+Searan) I would love to ask if you could do MC and her brother spending Valentines together. The others couldn't spend time cause they were busy. So once they have some time to spare them look for you and see you are your brother hanging out. Yet you are siblings so you sorta close to each other and some things seem romantic. The others don't know you have a brother. So how would they react? If you can't do it, it's okay. Happy Valentine's Day!

OOooh scandalous~
(It’s the day after Valentine’s Day here because I live in Australia and we live in the future but I’d be happy do do this!)

Yoosung:

✮ he was busy with some huge LOLOL event that was happening for valentine’s
✮ he felt bad but you assured him that it was fine and you would just go see family or a friend or whatever
✮ so when he leaves the house to get food and sees you with some guy??
✮ YANDERE YOOSUNG UNLEASHED
✮ your brother was teasing you by pulling and twisting your hair
✮ but to yoosung it looked like he was hella flirting
✮ basically stomps up and flicks your brother’s hand away
✮ ‘excuse me, why are you touching my girlfriend? huh?’
where did this confidence come from hmmmm
✮ your brother is confused because ‘omg is this the innocent yoosung MC was talking about???’
✮ you’re trying not to fall over from laughing
✮ your brother looks absolutely horrified
✮ “MC is mY siStEr! who are you, huh punk?’
✮ yoosung.exe has stopped working
✮ almost cries
✮ apologises 38918475 times he feels so bad
✮ is pouting for the rest of the day and puts the LOLOL event on the back burner

Jaehee:

✎ she told you beforehand that valentine’s was going to be probably the busiest day for the cafe
✎ but W O W
✎ the cafe was packed and you hardly got to see jaehee
✎ and your brother visited during your lunch break
✎ so you two were just standing in a corner, trying to leave as much room for the actual customers that you could
✎ things died down for a total of maybe five minutes
✎ and jaehee looked around to find you and saw your brother squishing your cheeks together while you both laughed
✎ she really wanted to go over there and judo kick someone’s ass but she still had customers
✎ she was kinda angry for the rest of the day
✎ until afterwards you walk up with your brother and introduce them
✎ her face is redder than saeyoung’s hair
✎ she refuses to admit anything
✎ except when you’re back home she’s super affectionate
✎ and at first you think it’s just valentine’s day love
✎ but she’s super clingy and kind sheepish
✎ so you ask what the deal is
✎ and she begrudgingly admits that she saw you and your brother when you were messing around and didn’t realise it was your brother
✎ you have to try and maintain the giggles because she’s obviously embarrassed
✎ cute baehee

Zen:

✿ he was really busy rehearsing an upcoming musical
✿ and the director was super strict and wasn’t letting anyone out for the day
✿ during one of the breaks he picked up his phone and noticed that his fans were all tagging him in the same thing
✿ and he went to it and it’s a picture of you with some guy?!?!?!?!
✿ and he’s so scandalised
✿ he immediately goes to the group chat and sees that you and saeyoung are online
✿ he basically spams the picture with multiple exclamations akin to ‘WTF MC’
✿ you’re freaking out because he’s just sending mindless messages now and won’t stop to listen
✿ and saeyoung is just off his chair laughing because he obviously knows who it is (background check)
✿ you send a selfie of you and your brother both with a ‘wtf’ face and the ‘boi’ hand at the camera
✿ and zen finally stops
✿ you send another picture but this one’s of you and your brother when you were babies
✿ ‘hyun, this is my brother’
✿ ‘nice to meet THE zen’
✿ he’s so flustered
✿ he sends sorry to the chat so many times that the original problem can’t even be found
✿ when he comes home that night he brings a big bouquet of flowers and your favourite snacks
✿ is super clingy

Jumin:

₩ this nugget just doesn’t believe in valentine’s day
₩ you’d told him how annoyed this makes you but he didn’t seem to care too much
₩ so he was at work
₩ you went to lunch at the cafe thing across from the C&R building because your brother was curious
₩ y’all were just chilling, eating pastries and drinking milkshakes
₩ and then jaehee came for her lunch break
plot twist
₩ you say hi and your brother introduces himself (but not as your brother)
₩ and she’s shook
₩ she goes back and asks jumin if he knew you were at the cafe with some guy
₩ JUMIN IS JUST AS SHOOK
₩ he glides down and stands at your table
₩ you really nonchalantly say hello
₩ he’s so confused
₩ ‘would you like to explain yourself MC?’
₩ ???? ‘jumin what are you talking about? i’m just having lunch with my brother, we’re waiting for his girlfriend to come’
₩ it’s like you can see him deflate in embarrassment
₩ he like flops down in the seat next to you
₩ meets your brother
₩ when you’re back at home you ask him why he was so salty at the start and he admitted that he thought you were on a date with some random guy because he wouldn’t celebrate valentine’s
₩ you laugh and say you wouldn’t do that and shower him in affection
he made up for it ;)

Seven/Saeyoung:

⌨  he probably knows what your brother looks like from the background check but for the sake of story let’s just pretend he didn’t go that deep into your history
⌨  he was super busy with work-related stuff and didn’t even realise it was valentine’s
⌨  he asked you to grab some groceries because he couldn’t
⌨  he’d noticed you’d been gone for a while so he hacked into the security cameras of and around the grocery store
⌨  saw you talking to some guy
⌨  he’s so confused because you haven’t just stopped for a little ‘oh hi I know you’ obligatory hello but you’re walking down the sidewalk with the store bags and talking
⌨  he sees him nudge you with his shoulder and he’s kinda pissed
⌨  he just waits until you’re back home. you’re alone
⌨  he tries to act nonchalant about it, and like he doesn’t know anything– waiting until you bring it up
⌨  it’s the end of the day and he crawls into the bed where you already are
⌨  you bring up how it’s valentine’s day and that you missed him
⌨  he feels guilty but he’s kinda frustrated from before and goes ‘it didn’t look like you missed me too much while walking down the street with some other guy’
⌨  he did not get the reaction he expected
⌨  he expected you to be kinda shocked like ‘:o caught’
⌨  but you’re giggling and snorting
⌨  ‘saeyoung… that was my brother; we ran into each other outside a store so he walked with me for a little while’
⌨  like jumin, he deflates
⌨  he feels S O  B A D
⌨  he gives you so many cuddles and just fully wraps himself around you
⌨  swears he’ll make it up to you
⌨  he definitely does

I hope you all had a happy valentine’s day! CHEAP CHOCOLATE AND MYSTIC MESSENGER DLC’S WOOO ♡♡♡♡

Happy Purim, all! I am the butterfly princess. :)

4:28pm

summary: they made the decision together that they would be apart. so why is it so hard to leave? (the afternoon before the world tree)

notes: so uh. happy valentine’s day everyone. have some end of series feelings about the boys being apart. killugon, hurt/comfort (???), 1000 words

Sunbeams filter through a hole in the windowshades, catching particles of dust and making them dance in the afternoon light. It’d be pretty, if Killua cared for that sort of thing. But all he cares about is the way it makes Gon look, brown eyes almost golden with unshed tears.

“Would you do it again?” he says instead.

It’s a question neither of them want. Killua knows, now, that there are things he could have said, realized long before now.

And Gon doesn’t answer, not even after apologizing again and again and again until I’m sorry hangs in the air like mist, seeping into every thought and every movement. That he has nothing he can say now is almost worse than if he could just tell Killua what he is thinking. More than two years of being together, of knowing all there is to know about each other, and it’s on their last day that Gon can’t say anything other than a deep, heartfelt, “I’m sorry for everything.”

Forgotten (Jughead Jones)

Warning ⚠️: Physical abuse, Spoilers of episode 6 and swearing

You and Jug were friends before Archie and him got into a fight, so you were the only thing he could rely on, when they stopped being friends you had to pick a side and of course you picked Jughead’s.

You guys became inseparable and you developed a crush on Jug with time, but unlike Betty and Archie, you decided to throw your feelings away because you knew as a matter of fact Jug didn’t liked you back, so why would you bother?.

Now in sophomore year, Jug and you seemed to drift apart, especially with him being on the school newspaper, no matter if he was doing that or writing his book Betty was always with him, but when they kissed.

That’s when you realized you were actually in love with Jughead but also you realized that you might’ve lost your best friend for ever

She replaced you, and Jughead didn’t even notice.

Your dad was an alcoholic who bet the crap out of you, and only Jughead knew about it.

“You little rat” your dad shuttered drunkenly as he threw a cristal bottle in your direction, the shattered pieces scratched your skin, your blood falling to the floor. “I’m so sick of you” he said and punched you right on the cheekbone, the pain flowing all over your body as he threw you to the ground and kept hitting you mercilessly.

You squirmed around, screaming and crying begging him to stop, he pushed you to the counter away from him, you hit your back against the wood loudly as he reached for his gun, pointing it right at your head from the distance.

Your eyes opened widely as she put her shaking hands in the air as a sign of surrender “Dad…” you called him in a whisper “Please, put the gun down” you shuttered as calmly as you could, but your father pulled the trigger and you closed your eyes shut, and you opened them again, realizing he missed and passed out because of the alcohol.

You didn’t twice before running back to your bedroom, you grabbed a bag and put some stuff in there, clothes, money, your phone, anything that could be useful. When your bag was done you left the house and hide on a cheap motel near.

The day after your father reported you missing, and of course everyone at school found out. Jughead felt responsible for your disappearance.

He ignored you and his mind couldn’t stop thinking of the worst escenarios possible. What if you were dead?

His heart sunk.

It would be his fault, because he wasn’t there when you most needed him.

That was why when he heard you went missing he didn’t think twice before going after you “Juggy!” Betty said coming after him, he turned around “Were are you going?” She asked

“I’m sorry, I have to look for her, if something happens to her it would be my fault” he urged and Betty looked at Jughead with sweetness
“Let me come with you” she said but Jughead stopped her
“No Betty, I have to do this alone” he stated and she nodded letting him leave

He looked around Riverdale, because he knew that you would never leave without him, no matter how bad things were between you two. Then he remembered the little cheap hotel were you both stayed when they closed the In and Out movies.

You had to be there, you had to be okay.

He entered the place completely nervous, practically throwing himself to the receptionist who looked at him weirdly “Have you seen a girl with H/C hair and E/C eyes?” He asked hopefully and the receptionist looked at him before sighing

“Room 620, here’s the other key” she said handing the key over to Jughead who smiled widely

“Thank you!” He said before running away to the room. He put the key on the lock, the door opened almost immediately. When he saw you a weight was lifted off his shoulders “Y/N! You’re…” he beamed but soon stopped when he noticed your bruises and scratches

“Oh wow, you remember my name, yay me!” You exclaimed sarcastically turning your attention back to the tv, ignoring Jughead’s confused expression as he walked over to you

“What do you mean? Y/N you’re my best friend!” He said in disbelief and you stood up facing Jughead

“Am I? Because now you seem pretty cozy with your new girlfriend Betty or whatever the hell she is!” You spat “

I had a gun pointed at my fucking head Jughead!” His eyes opened widely
“I was this close to be buried 6 feet on the ground like Jason but you didn’t knew because you were too busy making out with Betty!” By now you were screaming, Jughead was silent

“Y/N…” he whispered coming closer
“Shut up” you cut him off
“Just listen!” He pleaded

“JUST SHUT UP” you yelled at him making him flicker slightly “Don’t worry, I’ll come back to school tomorrow and let you know when I’m about to die” she said the last thing sarcastically

“It would be something like ‘He Jug, guess what? I’m dead! But I hope you have a good day anyway’ how about that?” she said with fake happiness

“Stop joking about something like that!” He yelled coming closer to you, he was furious “Stop thinking that I don’t care! Because I do, more than you know” he said looking hurt about his friend’s words

“I care about you more than I do or ever did about anyone” he confessed grabbing her by the arms as he looked into her eyes

“Even Archie?” She asked
“Hell I even care more about you than Betty!” He scoffed jokingly, but both of you knew that he was serious, you both laughed at his comment, but then there was a silence and you couldn’t help but stare at his thin pink lips and he also stared at yours.

You looked at each other and started to slowly lean in, looking between your eyes and lips and when you were inches away from kissing you spoke “What are we doing?” You asked, your hot breath hitting his mouth

“I don’t know or care” he whispered back finally locking your lips with his, the butterflies on your stomach were unstoppable, and Jughead slipped his hand on your waist to pull you close slowly.

You both knew it was bad, but you’ll figure it out, you always do.

Female Vietnamese-Chinese-Australian

My dad is Vietnamese, but his parents come from China. My mum is from China, but she moved with her family to Hong Kong from an early age. They speak Cantonese (or as you otherwise might know it, traditional Chinese) as a main language, although they can speak (simplified) Chinese too. I was born and raised in Australia so I identify as Australian as well as Chinese and Vietnamese.

My area has some Asians, but you can get other PoC showing up too and as a writer, I like to embrace that (that’s why this profile exists). However, most people here are non-PoC, Australia being a former British colony and whatnot.

  • Clothing

Hand me downs. When your dad has 10 sibings and 2 of them are about an hour’s drive from your house, you can’t deny that’ll happen. However, I do get new clothes every now and again.

  • Food

My family does have a habit of eating rice and/or different Chinese styles of noodles a lot for dinner, but we eat pasta and other cultural foods every now and then. A typical lunch is normally a sandwich or fast food, while breakfast can be anything from dim sims to toast to apple pie (I think the apple pie is just a scrounge-for-money excuse on my mum’s part though).

We do eat Vietnamese food for dinner (a cold vermicelli dish with mint/lettuce, fish sauce and soft shell crab/spring rolls/cha lua/surimi scallops - or a combo of those - known verbally as something along the lines of “moong” to me, although I don’t know its proper name or spelling) or lunch (banh mi or pho), although the likelihood of having Vietnamese food for any given meal is significantly rarer than Western-style food/rice and normally it’s my dad who’ll eat pho.

We used to go out for yum cha for lunch (despite it being breakfast in most cases in Hong Kong) every now and again. When we’re in Hong Kong though, my maternal grandma makes us go to yum cha for breakfast and then to the same restaurant for dinner. There’s one dish I love from yum cha specifically (prawns in cheong fun with soya sauce) which is often on the menu and why I don’t mind yum cha in most cases.

My mum loves Japanese food, but my dad doesn’t like most raw things (I had a childhood friend whose mother used to work at a sushi shop, so we got lots of discounted food - it didn’t help my dad one bit) so me and my sisters have grown up eating sushi/okonomiyaki/sashimi and we’ll eat this stuff on birthdays or special occasions. That’s how we get into anime and learning Japanese at school.

  • Holidays

My family is atheist, with a mild exception on my smallest sister’s part (she believed in the optional religious education classes a little too much, and so is a bit more insistent on Christianity). We normally go out to Chinese New Year celebrations in our vicinity (we normally buy the spiral potatoes on skewers and/or batter-coated octopus tentacles and eat them if not collecting freebies). We’ll eat mooncake, tang yuan or the like as a celebratory food around the relevant holidays, although we do sometimes eat them out of season if the food is around and cheap. We don’t take days off around Chinese New Year like Chinese are supposed to, but we do take breaks around Easter, Christmas etc. because schools, supermarkets etc. close on those days.

Red pockets (actually red envelopes, they have money in them) are a custom for birthdays, Christmas, New Year, weddings and Chinese New Year. If your birthday is close to one of the other listed holidays, you get one instead of two (see this profile for explanation). There is no set amount for the others, but normally for a 20-something-year old the cap is about AU $50 (we send the equivalent in American money to American relatives, but that’s less often than the ones we see in person and remember the birthdays for), and for weddings you should give more than that.

We take basically any excuse to get together with extended family and Asian family parties are never dull. The adults, especially, gossip long into the night and if they bust out the alcohol, they go home at midnight or 2 am because…obvious reasons.

  • Identity issues

I thought, when I was younger, my surname was Chinese, but it turned out to be Vietnamese put through American pronunciation. I told my friends…and they didn’t give any reaction. Either they took it in their stride or just continued to think I was Chinese/Chinese-Australian like them.

I’ve been to Vietnam and Hong Kong on family trips before and for some reason, even though Australia is “home” to me, when all the people look closer to what you do and experience life similar to what you do, you feel like you’re “at home” in a weird sense. Can’t speak a speck of Vietnamese and my Cantonese and Chinese have fallen out of good use though, so I’m just berated by older relatives (in Cantonese and most times to my parents’ faces) when I visit them and speak in English.

I’m a bit more tan than my sisters due to neglecting sunscreen on sunny days, but my dad used to joke to me and my sisters that I was Filipino/Indian and looking back on it, that was pretty toxic. (It was also kinda hypocritical because he’s tanner than me, but he never pointed that out.) Some other people may get offended at being called “banana” or “ABC” (Australian-born Chinese), but me and my sisters can take it as a joke.

Talking about the Vietnam War is kinda awkward for me, as my dad escaped from it in his youth. I learnt about the war while doing an international studies course and being to Vietnam - there was this aura of coldness around it all the while and I don’t think I’ll ever get rid of it.

  • Language

I was taught Cantonese from birth, but Australia being as it is means English is my default. I had to learn Chinese and Japanese from language schools and school courses.

Hong Kong was British up until 1997, so there’s lots of English (the language, the people aren’t that common there) around and it’s easier to get by there (for me) than Vietnam. Vietnam was French in the 1800s so my dad knows limited French, but I’ve never learnt French.

  • Study

I used to try and keep up with my parents’ standards of “play piano!”, “get good grades!” etc. etc. but as time wore on, I found I didn’t want to. In the end, I found they’re not too worried, so long as I do well in what I want to do and pass in what I need to do.

…I’m also a proud procrastinator, as bad as that is.

  • Micro-aggressions

Notice how I’ve used “Cantonese” as a term for traditional Chinese, and “Chinese” for simplified? Cantonese and Chinese are completely different beasts. (I can get kinda picky about it, even though “Canton” is a somewhat whitewashed term and doesn’t refer to Hong Kong per se…I use the terms because I have no better way of distinguishing between the two.)

  • Tropes I’m tired of seeing

Kung fu Asians. Not all Asians are willing to whip your butt into shape with martial arts - most Asians wouldn’t know martial arts. For that matter, tai chi/taekwondo/karate/gong fu do not equal each other (yeah, Karate Kid with Jaden Smith is a misnomer).

  • Things I’d like to see more of

There’s one show I thought was fairly accurate in depicting a life like mine, and that’s The Family Law. Showing more family dynamics like that would be great.

I’d also like to see close siblings, regardless of genre, gender or race. (Not twins or OreImo, either - that’s a little too close.) I’m very close to my older sister, to the point where if we weren’t blood related, we’d be best friends.

It’s a weird demand, but regardless of where your story’s set or who it’s aimed at, I get kinda disappointed when people have an eating scene and they could check up some weird and wonderful food for it - for a workplace or school scene, a sandwich can make sense and it’s fine, but for one example, in fantasy feasts people eat “boar meat” and sometimes I wish they’d eat char siu instead of being so generic. Just do your research properly, spell the words properly and it’ll fit right in if it’s appropriate and/or relevant.
