Last night Opera Ultra Lounge and Republic hosted a block party in downtown Winnipeg called Labour of Love. As part of the event they featured several DJs, performers and artists, including my friend Justin Currie.
Justin, in his own incredible way, created a Winnipeg inspired digital painting and projected it on the side of a building for everyone to see. The piece featured some wonderful Winnipeg themed elements including the new Canadian Museum for Human Rights, the Esplanade Riel, ice hockey on the Red River, and local media icon Ace Burpee.
I think Justin did an amazing job and overall the whole night seemed to be a huge success. I had a great time dancing, hanging out with friends and taking photos of Justin’s art. I am definitely looking forward to Justin’s next live painting!
Winnipeg artist Justin Currie continues to blow me away with his amazing artwork. In his most recent piece Justin has pit two of his creations Coldfire and Karnage against each other in battle. As I had hoped, Coldfire has come out on top and left nothing left of his foe.
