character: darcy

Like for me it’s Mr. Darcy from pride and prejudice. Comment some of your fictional boyfriends/girlfriends

Mr. Darcy an Elizabeth!

One of my all time favorite stories and I currently re-reading it! Tried to lay my hands on an english version but the language manner is still too beautiful and difficult for me to read.

So I made a little interpretation of a ballroom scene from a movie. I like how colors turned out! *_*

“Darcy, I think we should go on a road trip.”

“….Wait, hold on a minute. Am I dreaming or did Jane ‘science is my life’ Foster just suggest going on a road trip?”

“Oh, shut up, there’s science everywhere. I’ll prove it to you.”

“You’re on, Bosswoman.”

“In vain have I struggled. It will not do. My feelings will not be repressed. You must allow me to tell you how ardently I admire and love you.”

Hanukkah (Chanukah is fine, transliteration from Hebrew is weird) is obviously a big one, but it’s not the only one.

Darcy Lewis has her own fandom and I think that’s beautiful.

As I work through analyzing some of my favorite characters and the hows and whys of my affection for them I am discovering that I am a sucker for a highly competent character that gets thrown into situations that are outside of their skill set and/or completely fish out of water and the resulting character development.
