character select screens

Top 5 glitches in video games?

5. That dumb palette glitch on the character select screens for most of Capcom’s arcade games

it only exists for 1 frame but it makes some real weird colour palettes

4. Backwards Long Jump (and building up insane amounts of negative speed in general) (Super Mario 64)

can’t go wrong with the classics. also meme

3. Moonkick (Donkey Kong 64)

donkey fly

2. DK Barrel Glitch (Donkey Kong Country)

not only can you directly control both kongs at once, you can make many stupid palette glitches occur and bring animal buddies to different levels because ????????????????

1. That weird glitch in Ice Man’s stage in Mega Man 1

most of the time it softlocks, but the times it doesn’t it instead summons Yellow Devil or re-writes the game’s physics engine

Dr. Robotnik’s Time Trap (Sonic the Hedgehog 3?)

why the heck would they decide a game breaking bug was a feature and directly describe it as such in the manual

Castle Crush Glitch (Donkey Kong Country 2)

weird random glitch, but it also permanently destroys dkc2 carts. seems safe to do on the 3ds virtual console, though

Mario and Donkey Kong are in the same universe, everyone already knows this

Donkey Kong’s sidekick character is Diddy Kong

Diddy Kong has a spinoff racing game

This is the character select screen from that game

First thing of note here is Banjo is here

So we can confirm that Banjo-Kazooie and Mario take place in the same universe, just from that, but the more troubling thing is Conker is here

Conker got his own game after this called Conker’s Bad Fur Day

And the final boss of Conker’s Bad Fur Day is unmistakably

a xenomorph

Super Mario Brothers, Banjo-Kazooie, and the Alien movies all take place in the same universe, this is canon, pass it along

there are a few things that i think couldve been done differently in the justice quest in da2, namely, the part where hawke can go to the templars and tell them about anders.

now, i as a player, would never in a million years do that, but i dont understand why they give hawke that dialogue option, but in the end, the templars do nothing abt it theyre like “pffft??? that guy? a dangerous apostate? lmao u must be joking” and then anders makes a salty comment if hes in ur party and thats the end of that.

no, i think if anders was in ur party, they should have arrested him on the spot. give anders his time to chew hawke out as hes being dragged away, and then hawke leaves the gallows, content in the knowledge they wont have to deal with him anymore.

if anders isnt in the party, hes simply removed from the character select screen, merrill has banter abt it, but if varric or isabela are in the party, they shush her. theyre scared it could happen to her too. if hawke passes by the clinic, the doors are closed and locked, and a refugee standing by the doors says the templars came and dragged the healer off.

and then when hawke is confronting meredith and orsino, anders rolls up like “bitch! you thought!” bc boy escaped from kinloch hold 7 times, if emile de launcet can manage to spring himself from the gallows fucking anders should have no problem.

but if hawke turns anders in, he does not submit himself to their judgement. he can still be killed, but only if hawke sides with the templars and faces him in battle. he also cannot be convinced to join a hawke who sides with the templars.

so ultimately, it doesnt change anything, but it adds some weight to a choice that hawke had, instead of a dead end dialogue branch.
