The scene in the high school auditorium was totally improvised by Robert De Niro. Juliette Lewis had developed a little bit of a crush on De Niro by then, and she didn’t know what he was going to do. The surprise you read on her face is genuine.
Mr Ketch pulls up to the cool jazz strains of “Take Five.”
The anti-Lucifer Five-Man Band (witch, angel, king of hell, giant, fire extinguisher) gets back together for one last show. [”The Chick is often considered the heart of the group. This role is played by a woman or girl. Someone female. Otherwise, it is not a Five-Man Band.” Cf. Ladyheart.]
They set their stage in room 5 at the Plains Motel.
After the show, Castiel tries to treat Kelly to lunch at the Five Corners Cafe, but she slips out the back instead.
And so it begins…
And already I’m procrastinating!
So much social media to check… So many YouTube videos to watch… So many books to read… So much stuff to do in my normal life… So little energy to waste (I have CFS).
I’ve set myself the goal of 30 hours and I’m hoping to split it up into lots of small blocks, so I don’t exhaust myself.
My novel has a working title of Pilgrim. It has a YA Fantasy rebellion/escape plot.
I don’t feel ready to start the main plot so I’m starting with prequel scenes. That way I can solidify the characters and the world and then hit my story running.
My inspiration for the first scenes is “Geode” hence the GIF.
What are you working on? Let me know so I can procrastinate some more :)
