certified pharmacy technician

It’s official! Franchesca D. Grepo, CPhT! (Certified Pharmacy Technician)

I took the pharmacy technician exam March 16, 206 at Pearson Vue in Dallas, TX. I Just studied one book and the preparation was not intense compared to my Pharmacy Board Exam in the Philippines.

EXAM:
90 questions, 120 minutes, computer-based exam. After taking the exam, it will show right away if you pass or fail the exam.

this is the blue print / coverage of exam:

the only reference I read for the PTCB exam. Mosby’s! :)

Remarks/disclaimer: Mahirap parin yung exam pero mas madali siyang aralin kapag nga may background sa Pharmacy. Iba-iba ang requirements per state.

Kahit pharmacy undergraduate kayang kayang ipasa yung exam. Aralin na lang yung US laws, organizations, systems, inventory and management nila. I don’t know kung pwede ka mag take ng Pharm tech exam sa Pilipinas. You can just ask from pearsonvue itself. Mayron silang branch sa Makati, PH.

additional info: right after PH pharmacy board exam, pumunta na agad ako ng USA. zero working experience ako sa Pinas pero naging pharm tech pa din. :)
