What with her subconscious or conscious knowledge that she was in simulations, you can’t tell me that Shaw didn’t go all Groundhog Day at some point and take some “vacation loops.”

Those times she took a tour of about every tropical island, pretending that The Machine’s servers were stored on Hawaii, in the Caymans, in Singapore, in Bali. Yep, The Machine sure is hiding in this spa resort basement, accessible only by ordering this one special treatment.

She’d go to the shooting range and shoot at a specific target in a very specific pattern, constructing ridiculous secret passage mechanisms to justify trying out any number of skills. (That axe-throwing loop was a good one)

Look, it only makes sense that The Machine can only be contacted by petting a certain sequence of contestants at this dog show, okay? Sorry Shaw doesn’t make the rules this is just how it is.

Oh, what’s that? The Machine’s secret plan was for Shaw to go to the moon and activate a space laser? Well, sacrifices must be made, and Shaw is nought but an obedient agent.

So it turns out that The Machine delivers numbers by embroidering them in code on the the underwear at this male lingerie runway show, gotta thoroughly inspect them to get the next one, buuuummerrr, what a paaaaain.

The Machine is definitely, definitely storing itself in this quality assurance lab for sous vide cookers. There’s so much storage in these Bluetooth enabled cookers, guys, and that’s where The Machine is hiding.

So it turns out that The Machine has had itself transferred via sunglasses into the brain patterns of a MIT dropout, and is only accessible when said subject is triggered by a sensory association. (What? Shaw can appreciate a schlocky show with a main lady spy who’s hot and good with a gun. Froyo is an abomination, though.)

Oh look Root what a complete and total surprise or coincidence meeting you, here, on this nudist beach in Spain. I mean, it’s the only way we can know for sure Samaritan isn’t listening in on us, right?
