It doesn't feel like they can wrap Carolines story up in the next 3 episodes. She has only ever wanted to be put first, and she can't find a new LI in the next 3 episodes (although it is TVD I still don't think so) which is why I think it's likely she'll go to TO. Even if only as a smaller part. I hope that makes sense.
I also feel like there’s a missing piece to Caroline’s story and it’s bugging me. Even setting aside the LI thing, what are we building towards for her? I see Stefan’s story winding down, and Damon’s to an extent. Matt is clearly going to be the sheriff of tiny terrible MF for the rest of his life. Elena will come back and live her life. Bonnie’s end will probably tie into this alternate reality.
But Caroline? There’s no foundation or progression there for how her story is going to end. And I don’t think she’s dying, because even THAT would have some momentum by now in terms of narrative. She feels very unfinished to me, which is why I’m more and more willing to entertain the idea that she might actually be moving to TO.
“caroline, i’m standing in one of my favorite places in the world surrounded by food, music, art, culture, and all I could think about is how much i want to show it to you. maybe one day you’ll let me.”
You know, I really dislike sex scenes in tv and movies. They always felt so forced and unnecessary.
But I think a main reason I dislike them is because very rarely are they actually done between two characters who love each other. It’s just two people, who barely even know each other, or have been dating for like, a few days just having sex to have sex, because “it’s been months since I had any action”, and not because they love and are committed to one another
Obviously because of my religious beliefs I think sex should be something between a married couple. Which I don’t expect in movies really, for characters to wait until marriage. But at the very least, can’t they be in love and completely devoted to one another?
