Raven Cycle Archetypes Yo

     The Hero Within: Six Archetypes We Live By: by Carol S. Pearson Ph.D, is a book that explains in detail, different archetypes found in humanity and literature. Archetypes are prevalent in all kinds of fiction including the book series The Raven Cycle by Maggie Stiefvater. The Raven Cycle is about a young girl who meets a group of 4 boys in search of an ancient king. Although it seems like a meeting of pure chance, their individual journeys have been incontrovertibly intertwined since before their birth. Each character brings an archetype to the relationship and together they form a balanced whole. The four most common archetypes found in literature are: The Orphan, the Wanderer, the Warrior, and the Magician (Pearson 18).
