Grayson #1 and Grayson Annual #3 covers by Andrew Robinson and Mikel Janin – nice bit of full circle there.
We’ve still got a few issues to go, but as we all celebrate the return of Nightwing, I want to say that thisAgent 37 thing worked out way better than I expected. Dick was thrown out of a his comfort zone and made so many fun new friends and enemies (and frenemies, in the case of Midnighter) that I quickly fell in love with.
It’s also been such a pleasure to have a creative team that both loves this character and engages with fans. So I just want to express my appreciation to the people who made this comic happen–who made people even outside of the DG fanbase sit up and pay attention to a Dick Grayson comic, for the first time since his run as Batman!
So, THANK YOU:
To our A-team: Tim Seeley, Tom King, Mikel Janin, Jeromy Cox, Carlos M. Mangual
But also: Stephen Mooney, Colin Kelly, Jackson Lanzing, Roge Antonio, Geraldo Borges, Raúl Fernández & Alvaro Martinez (annual #2), Andrew Robinson (for the early covers)… and also Steve Orlando because that team-up in Midnighter was brilliant :P
And of course, the unsung heroes of any comic book–the editors! Mark Doyle, Rebecca Taylor, Katie Kubert, Matt Humphreys, and everyone at DC Comics who let this comic do its own thing and flourish.
I am sad this comic is ending, but looking forward to Nightwing–here’s hoping for more great DG stories!
