Pioneering woman jazz musician and mother of acclaimed jazz singer Catherine Russell, Carline Ray, died July 18. In the 1940’s, Ray found a home in the all-women band The International Sweethearts of Rhythm (above), as a guitarist and vocalist. Fresh Air spoke with Russell in 2012 about her mother. We listened back to that interview in honor of Ray today on the show.
I can’t be the only one that thinks is every goddamn male character(Horatio, Wrench, Josh, Ray, Jordi and u can’t ducking tell me Dusan wasn’t flirting with him their entire scenes had some fudged up hate!sex foreplay) is secretly in love with Marcus Holloway.
Please some one tell me I’m not the only crazy one? And we all know Sitara literally sides eyes all of them laughing at Marcus’ obliviousness and the failed courtship attempts of all the dudes.
