The wind was relentless, and it was blowing sand everywhere. It wasn’t long before Algy’s eyes and beak and feathers and hair were all full of sand, so he shook himself off and retreated to the relative shelter of a clump of Marram grass growing in the middle of the beach. As he dug himself into a sand pocket, he watched the wind fill in the footprints of the sandpipers and other seabirds. It only took a few moments to erase their tracks across the beach, and it reminded Algy of a poem:

The wind stops, the wind begins.
The wind says stop, begin.

A sea shovel scrapes the sand floor.
The shovel changes, the floor changes.

The sandpipers, maybe they know.
Maybe a three-pointed foot can tell.
Maybe the fog moon they fly to, guesses.

The sandpipers cheep “Here” and get away.
Five of them fly and keep together flying.

Night hair of some sea woman
Curls on the sand when the sea leaves
The salt tide without a good-by.

Boxes on the beach are empty.
Shake ‘em and the nails loosen.
They have been somewhere.

[Algy is quoting the poem Sand Scribblings by the 20th century American poet Carl Sandburg.]

“Fine by me.”

Cassandra continues to be too hot to handle and excited about the prospect of fighting this particular super villain. With her combat level, Cass must maintain constant restraint when battling. Against Shadow Thief, though, she has a chance to let loose against an opponent and it’s an exciting revelation.

A first glance on 5x12 "Remember"

Some details in the episode that took my attention:

- Daryl hunts an opposum, an animal known for playing dead when threatened. Opposums regain consciousness after a period of between 40 minutes and 4 hours.

- Deanna tells Rick the time. It is 15:37h or as she says three thirty-seven PM, 3:37pm. Again these numbers repeating. Read this meta: http://weburythedead.tumblr.com/post/111646669535/37-tremor-christ
by weburythedead for more info on numbers 3 and 7.

Now time matters… Except in Grady Memorial Hospital all clocks were still in Season 5 so far.

- Carl finds a comic book. On the back cover it says “Wolf fight”.

- Yellow door and number 101. 1x01 “Days Gone By”. First episode of the show, Rick awakes from his coma after being shot, Morgan helps him.

- Daryl is seen sat at the house porch several times. Throwback to 4x12 “Still”, sitting with Beth as opposed to being alone here. He is still carrying Beth’s knife.

- They had 5 kids and 12 grandkids.

- Carl touching a sand clock.

- We all got jobs to… 4x03 “Isolation”. Beth to Maggie: “We’re not allowed to be upset, we’ve all got jobs to do, that’s what Daddy says.”

- Glenn and Tara urging to kill the walker they wanted to chain. Do you remember? “Killing them is not supposed to be fun” Beth in 4x12 “Still”.

- Enid wearing a T-shirt with a 78. Again 7 and 8… Daryl pulls out darts from numbers 7 and 8 in 4x12 “Still”. See the same post above by weburythedead.

- They lost 4 people and exiled 3.

- Noah’s T-shirt “one one”. 1x01? And the bird, a heron, same as shown in 4x12 “Still”.

More as it comes…
