So this was my favorite moment of today.

I’m standing chatting with radioactivepeasant and this dad comes up with his toddler girl. “Hey, can she get a picture with you? She’s just now wanting to get pictures but only with certain people,” he says and I’m like, who turns down an adorable little Wonder Woman?

So as soon as I crouched down to talk to her she sat right on my knee, beamed up at me, and said “Cheeeeeese!” SO cute.
I’m so glad I got to be a superhero she recognized.

(Face edited because she’s a tiny kid and I’m not posting her face without permission)

Radioactivepeasant Goes to ComiCon, Part Three

There were people there who build Artoo units! Actual, working ones! And then they set them loose in the convention center! I ran into the black and gold one about 5 times. He nearly ran over @i-lavabean ’s feet at one point. (We were both there)

I wanted to get some pictures with people, so I asked this Legolas for one. You can’t quite see because of the angle she’s standing at, but it was a really good costume.

Then I got a picture with Captain Marvel there in front of a Steampunk TARDIS someone had actually built. It was so cool! Which reminds me of another steampunk thing that happened.

So we were looking at a display of decorative pocket watches set on top of a very old radio playing the Andrews Sisters. On top was a Vader helmet made of chainmail and steampunk accessories.

The owner of the booth, dressed as the 11th Doctor, tapped my shoulder and said, “Excuse me son, but isn’t that your dad?”

I, being a weirdo, blurted out the first thing that came to mind:
“Dad?! Is that you?! You’ve looked better…you’ve been beheaded!”

The guy laughed at me. Understandable.

In Part Four, I gotta tell you about my favorite part of the day!
