A view of Nova Scotia fields from above on Jan 19/17, thanks to Porter Airlines! Note the circular rainbow around the shadow of the plane as it took off from Halifax. So cool!
Over farms and other stuff. I love low-flying Porter Airlines! Heading southeast down over the Annapolis Valley. Hoped to get a good picture of Cape Blomidon (to go with a poem!) but just glimpses. Last shot, I believe, is leaving NS around Digby.
I recommend Nova Scotia naturalist, poet, and author Harry Thurston for his beautiful poetry about growing up on a farm outside Yarmouth, Nova Scotia. Some of these poems are included in his poetry book, ‘Animals of My Own Kind,’ published by Vehicule Press.
