How some in the fandom view Gabe:
“Adrien has been missing for 3 days? Hmm, didn’t even notice.”

How literally every episode with Gabriel presents Gabriel:
“My son was seeing exiting the mansion at 2:42 p.m., you were then seen delivering our mail at 3:12 p.m., tell me what you know about my son’s wearabouts and my Bodyguard will put away his knife collection.”

Pls tell me about your feelings on Breha Organa, I am Here For It, please talk to me about how this woman is amazing and overlooked.

My time has come!

Okay, I have a headcanon post about Breha here, as well as Alderaanian culture headcanons here and some very important information about Breha’s punning style here.

I’ve also got a fic about Breha and Bail as an asexual couple here.

Now that all the linking’s out of the way, here are some other thoughts.

In the supposed debate between nature and nurture, I tend to come down more on the nurture side, and in that regard I think Leia takes after her mother pretty strongly.

Breha is known for both her compassion and her devastating wit. She’s an accomplished debater, and she takes a hands on interest in every aspect of Alderaanian politics.

She always encourages that interest in her daughter: she brings Leia with her to everything, from state visits with foreign dignitaries to trips to dairy farms and nerf pastures. Leia watches the way her mother talks to people: the openness and genuine interest in her conversations with mountain herders, the closed off, careful mask she puts on for every meeting with an Imperial Moff.

When Leia is seven, she sneaks into one of the Queen’s top secret briefings, and later that night she asks her parents, “Mama, Papa, are we Rebels?”

Bail is terrified. How had she found out? Were they putting her in too much danger? And if she’d overheard something, was it possible others had, too?

But Breha hesitates only a moment before telling Leia, “Yes. We are.”

In a galaxy where the Empire poses an imminent threat to everyone, ignorance will not protect their daughter, she tells Bail later. Leia is already very aware of the political realities of the Empire, and she’d seen enough to ask the question. She deserves an answer, and Breha isn’t going to lie to her. The only sure protection will be the liberation of the galaxy.

Growing up, Leia sees more of her mother than her father. Bail is away on Coruscant with the Imperial Senate for about half the year, but Breha, as the ruling Queen of Alderaan, is based in the palace in Aldera. She travels frequently, though, and almost always takes Leia with her.

And she receives frequent visitors at the palace, too. In particular representatives of the Imperial government. When the system of regional governors is first introduced, Alderaan is one of the first worlds they visit. Breha entertains the newly appointed Governor Tarkin with a steely grace and cleverly disguised disdain - something Leia recognizes instantly but Tarkin doesn’t seem to pick up on at all.

As a child Leia thinks her mama is invincible. She can lie to Moff Tarkin’s face and never lose her smile. She can use her words as weapons and her silences as a shield.

When Leia follows her father’s footsteps to the Imperial Senate, it’s her mother’s cool, sarcastic, fearlessly direct approach she takes as a model.

the sequel to this ficlet i posted yesterday literally none one asked for. (I blame @sapphicsugden for mentioning wanting to see robert react to the voicemail. oops.)

home is wherever i’m with you

robert gets a voicemail from aaron that has him running to leeds train station to reassure his husband of his love.

1,669 words.

Robert got out of the shower, towelling his hair dry as he turned to look at himself in the mirror, sighing at dark circles that had found a permanent home there. If he’d ever assumed marriage would make his life, their lives easier, he’d been entirely wrong - even after therapy, even after marriage counselling, regardless of how hard they’d worked on their relationship, they could seem to shake the petty arguments and sniping that always seemed to put a strain on their relationship.

He couldn’t even remember what they’d been fighting about, really, but Aaron had left for meetings in London two days previously, and they hadn’t even been on speaking terms.

Robert had only heard about Aaron’s trip from Liv, the blonde as perspective as ever and knowing Robert would only worry if he didn’t hear from Aaron, but was too stubborn to call (and vice versa, he could only assume, or hope, either or either.)

Going through his usual post shower routine, Robert fished about their messy ensuite for his moisturiser. He’d gone for a shower in the middle of the afternoon in the hopes of relaxing the stiff, sore muscles of his body, easing the tension he’d been carrying for days.

It hadn’t worked, really, but at least he looked less terrible than he had done a half an hour previously as he padded into their bedroom, rooting for some fresh clothes to wear. He really needed to put on a load of washing, the hamper in their room overflowing.

Robert dressed quickly, in a neat blue shirt and navy trousers, pausing to sit on Aaron’s side of the bed as he laced up his shoes. He might as well be productive while he waited for Aaron to come home that evening, he supposed, stuffing his damp towel into the hamper before he headed downstairs, navigating the spiral staircase.

Robert couldn’t help but laugh as he noticed Liv’s overflowing washing basket plonked down by the washing machine. At least it was a step up from leaving her clothes all over her bedroom floor, he supposed.

Separating the colours was a blissfully monotonous task as Robert set about making piles of darks, whites, and colours, Aaron’s clothes overwhelmingly in the darks pile.

Some things would never change.

Washing on, Robert headed for the kitchen, flicking the kettle on before he picked up his mobile, surprised to see a new voicemail from Aaron. Holding it to his ear, Robert leaned against the kitchen counter as he listened.

“I know the last few weeks have been hard, but I want you to know that I love you, and no one makes me happy the way you do. I’m sitting on the train home, and I just… All I want is to be with you, right now, and for the rest of my life. Yeah? So whatever else is going on, we’ll sort it, because I love you, Robert.”

Robert’s heart was racing as he listened to the voicemail, the emotion clear in Aaron’s voice as he spoke. Sometimes, even now, three years on from their wedding day, Robert had moments where he wondered if Aaron would stay, if Aaron would always think that he was worth the hassle, worth the stress.

Robert didn’t always think he was worth the hassle, but here his husband was, telling him that he loved him, that all he wanted was to be with him, that he loved him, and Robert’s heart could have burst out of his chest.

“I’ll be home, soon. Pick me up in Leeds, yeah? We can go for dinner or something, I want to spend some time with ya.”

Robert pressed the palm of his hand into his eye, taking a few seconds to breathe deeply before he did anything else.

Aaron always did floor him.

Face Casting: Jack Harries as Richard Gansey ( @mistyxaesthetic )

“Crushed and broken,” Gansey said. “Just the way women like ‘em.”

dating cole sprouse would include...

- honestly you two would have met through dylan at nyu

- you would have been studying with dylan for an exam, and cole would have walked in

- “oh, jeez. i have to deal with the both of you now?”

- “hey, i’m amazing company,” cole would say as dylan said, “hey, i’m amazing in general.”

- you’d shudder. “twins.”

- after that you, dylan and cole would all hang out a lot (as much as college would allow) until graduation

- you’d stop talking to the sprouse twins, not because you didn’t like them, but because you just lost touch with them

- but then you’d get a call from cole one day, and he’d ask you over for coffee

- needless to say you two started dating not too long after that

- dylan would be your best friend and mess with you all the time

- but then when cole got the role as jughead on riverdale, you’d come to set with him

- you, lili, camila, ashleigh and madelaine would be inseparable.

- you five would always go out for drinks and just hang out and laugh

- cole would make jokes on how you were dating them and not him

- but at the end of the night, you two would end up in bed together (sometimes your clothes were scattered around the room and the apartment)

- cole would always be so loving and supportive

- you would be too

- to be honest you’d make zack and cody references all the time to mess with him and dylan

- you’d always be his muse

- you’d be all over his instagram, photos of you in fields and on set with him and the rest of the cast

- he’d talk about you all time in interviews and whatnot

- kj and casey would always tease him about you had him wrapped around your finger and how whipped he was

- god you and cole would be the perfect couple

- you two would be soulmates
