I’ve always been drawn to black and white photography, particularly the work of the masters from the 1920s-1950s. I love the play of light, tones, and textures, and the shapes they reveal when there’s no distraction of color. Over the past few years, I started taking my own photos as a creative outlet while pursuing a graduate degree. Now, I can’t put the camera down! It helps me to be present in the world and to pay attention to the things around me, even if only in my immediate environment. A favorite writer of mine, Annie Dillard, says of the world around us: “…beauty and grace are preformed whether we will or sense them. The least we can do is try to be there.” I try to be there with my Canon Rebel T2i in hand.
Hi there! I’m Hannah. I am a photographer from Virginia. I am 17 years old. Most of my photography is equine, but I love doing portraits as well. :) I have been into photography for about 3 years and I love it! I use a Canon Rebel T2i. The photos above are from a recent shoot I did.
