Circular Cosmos
——————————————
Shooting towards the North Star, Polaris, is one of the coolest types of star trails. Due to Earth rotating on a polar axis, the north star is nearly on the axis point. When you shoot a time-lapse aimed at Polaris you capturing what appears to be the stars rotating around the Polaris. This is due to Polaris moving minimally in the sky. I shot this on a 50mm, which made it difficult to frame where Polaris was. After several test exposures, I was able to locate Polaris, and set up the time-lapse. Can’t wait to share my favorite astro-photo with you guys tomorrow! Please leave your thoughts and comments below!
