Friendly reminder that Klaus’ letter was preceded by “that is the beginning of another story”, which is meant to highlight key components in the letter, such as Klaus wanting to thank Caroline in person. This suggests that they do eventually meet up, and that their meeting is not a mere fleeting chapter in their lives.
This isn’t a nod to their friendship. They’ve never been just friends. This is a promise of a romantic future.
There is no doubt in my mind that if Caroline and Klaus were to ever reunite (and according to the finale they do) that Klaus would want something romantic from her. And if you believe otherwise, you’re kidding yourself.
However long it takes is a throwback to a romantic scene. A romantic scene that suggests a promise of a romantic future between the characters. This isn’t mere banter between friends. Because Caroline has never been just a friend to Klaus. It’s a promise of a romantic future.
“that is the beginning of another story” “however long it takes”
Eventually this story will be realized. And it isn’t a story about friendship.
It’s never a secret. For the first time in Kara’s thirteen years on Earth, there’s no great revelation. There isn’t anything to reveal.
This weight that she’s carried with her into every relationship outside the Danvers that she’s ever tried to build since she landed—it suddenly becomes inconsequential, when they’re together. The fact that Kara is Kryptonian, that she is Supergirl. The distinction between Kara Danvers and Kara Zor-El and National City’s resident hero. The deception; the disguise.
There’s no pretense between them, no pretending, no parts to play. They meet in the ring as Supergirl and Miss Martian, and then a few days later Kara Danvers shows up at the alien bar—and M’gann knows. It’s not something she needs to deduce or figure out after they’ve known each other a while. She just looks at Kara and she knows—it’s just a simple unconscious observation, as clear to see as the gold of Kara’s hair or the blue of her eyes.
M’gann slides Kara an Aldebaran rum and Kara doesn’t even realize that she’s still wearing her glasses.
No one can tell me that Ignis didn’t have any musical education at court and he totally plays piano. It’s one of the few things he can do perfectly without his eyesight and he picks it up again. Aranea loves listening to him playing and tries not to distract him too much.
so a handful of you were around for last year’s calendiles day, & therefore have an idea of what’s going on. for those of you that don’t, april 28th is the day one jenny calendar graced our screens for the first time, and brought with her a level of snark none had seen directed at giles before. or, to be fair, we saw the kids snarking at giles, but we never actually saw a fellow teacher shouting “you’re a snob” across the library at him. bless u jenny calendar.
anyway, jenny and giles are adorable, their love is adorable, and april 28th is the time to make content commemorating that!! starting at midnight, april 28th (pacific standard time) and ending at 11pm that night,
for my contributions, i’ll be posting installments (every hour, on the hour) of four different six-chapter fics centering around giles and jenny (jfc what am i promising right now someone help me), as well as reblogging any content any of you choose to make.
reblog this post to spread the word, and let me know if you’re thinking of making something + tag me in it when you post it!
good news: this fucking fic is now offically at 10k bad news: still not done
“Are we really going to take relationship pointers from Rich and Jake?” Michael asks. “Not that I have anything against them, but like. Rich and Jake.”
Rich and Jake, who dash through the school hallways with Rich on Jake’s shoulders, screaming ‘NYOOM NYOOM MOTHERFUCKERS’ while Jake laughs the entire time. Rich and Jake, who accidentally blew up the chem lab last semester. Rich and Jake, whose idea of romance is almost getting arrested for setting a dumpster on fire because 'we were drunk and wanted to make out by a campfire, so it made sense at the time.’
