as an actress, what are some of your go-to, fast, healthy meals?

Oooo fun question! First, let me preface this by saying that I don’t eat very much in a single sitting, and eat small meals all day. So if you see something and think, girl that’s not a meal!! … yeah, I can’t eat much at a time without getting full, so it’s more like hearty snacks all day. I’m also a vegetarian, so you’ll see a distinct lack of meat here.

1. Hummus, warm pita, carrots, and whatever other veggies I have on hand. This was my dinner tonight and ohhhh it’s so yummy.

2. Apples and cheese. Such a delicious combo! Especially fresh mozzarella.

3. Steel cut oatmeal with whatever fixings I have–pumpkin seeds, cinnamon, maple syrup, chia seeds, peanut butter. And steel cut oats is actually something that I feel reheat really well! So make a bunch and then have it for breakfast for about a week!

4. Yogurt and fruit and granola. I love Greek yogurt, add a little honey, granola, berries, whatever I have on hand. I freeze berries often and they work great defrosted and popped into some yogurt in the morning! Good way to keep from wasting fruit.

Break Fast is the most important meal of the day for many reasons. Starting your day with good yummy healthy foods will not only make you feel better for whatever Is to come that day but will also do good for your body regardless of whatever your fitness goals are. Remember that 70% of achieving most fitness goals are from eating right and the other 30% Is from working out.
Here are 10 healthy yummy breakfast recipes to kick start your summer!!! 😜🌞😈

I’ve tried all of these and can say that they taste amazing. All of them are super easy to make aswell, if you have any questions or request submit on my Tumblr!! ALSO With a lot of the measurements in these, you just kind of play with what you like and ‘guestamate’

~ Egg & Avacado Toast
Directions
- scoop out Avacado and spread it on bread of choice
-put oil or butter on pan and crack egg on to it, flip egg once it starts looking like what a fried egg should look like
-place egg on to the Avacado toast

~Glass of milk and a hand full of almonds

~ Granola/Yogurt/Fruit
Directions
- use non far Greek yogurt of choice and add how ever much yogurt you want
- mix in granola
- add fruits (strawberries, blue berries and raspberries are the most popular for this recipe)

Banana Pancakes
Directions
1 banana 2 eggs or 2 bananas and 2 eggs depending on what taste you want more
-blend ingredients
-use the blend as a mix and cook as you would cook normal pancakes

Ants on a log
Ingredients
- 1 banana
-honey
-peanut butter or almond butter
- nuts of choice
Directions
-Cut banana in half so that the inside of the banana is one side and the outside is the other (make it look sort of like a log)
-spread peanut butter on to all pieces of bananas
-squeeze on some honey
-Put a couple nuts of choice on

Green smoothie
Perfect to get the day started
Ingredients
-almond milk
-frozen (or non frozen) mangos
-Spinach
-frozen (or non frozen) banana
-frozen kale
-frozen pine Apple
- 1 table soon chia seeds
Blend ingredients and voila
Tip: with smoothie recipes you should put them in mason jars or in those cute containers you get when you purchase smoothies from fancy restaurants, it’ll make eating healthier more fun)

~ instant oatmeal (make sure it’s whole grain that’s always the best)
- follow directions on the back and add fruits and honey to bulk it out

~chocolate almond banana smoothie
Ingredients
-chocolate almond milk
-¼ of a cup of whole grain oats
-1 frozen banana

~ Turkey bacon Omelette and baked potatos
Ingredients
-chopped up chunks of potato
-Turkey bacon ( how ever much you want)
- 2 eggs
-cheese to sprinkle on
-onions/tomatoes (put anything you like in your eggs in this recipe, I use green onions)
-seasonings (salt pepper garlic etc etc)
Directions
-cut up pieces of Turkey bacon
-cut up extra ingredients you wish to put in
-mix 2 eggs in a bowl and mix in salt and pepper and other spices you desire mix in Turkey bacon pieces
-grease pan and pour egg mixture in
-cook on low-Medium
-sprinkle cheese on to eggs
For the potatos
-pre heat oven to 350 Fahrenheit
-greese a baking pan
-make a mixture of 2 table spoons oil, ¼ of a Lemon, paprika salt and pepper and poor this mixture on to Potatos, bake for 10-15 minutes at 400 f (the potatos taste amazing with the eggs but you have to make them)

~ Avacado toast
ingredients
-slice of Ezekiel bread (or any bread, Ezekiel’s a really really healthy bread that’s good for you)
-slice of tomato
-Avacado
-salt/pepper
Directions
- toast bread
- spread Avacado on bread
-place Slice of tomato
-sprinkle salt and pepper

Carrot Cake Bites Recipe

Makes 12–14

Sweet treats don’t necessarily have to be full of processed sugar. The natural sugars found in dates and raisins satisfy those cravings just as well as any chocolate bar or slice of fat-laden cake—but that’s not to say you can’t or shouldn’t have the occasional piece. I’m increasingly conscious of how much cake I consume (welcome to your thirties!) and so I’ve taken inspiration from one of my all-time favorite recipes and given it a somewhat healthy twist by forming it into every seasoned vegan’s standby sweet, the incomparable (but perhaps not so appetizingly named) “raw ball.” And as an added bonus, these bite-sized treats don’t even require any cooking—just process, roll, chill, and eat… now that’s better than messing around with batter any day. 

1 small carrot, grated
1 cup medjool dates, pitted and roughly chopped
2 1/4 cups pecans
1/3 cup raisins
Grated zest of 1 clementine or orange
¼ teaspoon ground cinnamon
¼ teaspoon ground ginger
Pinch of freshly grated nutmeg
½ cup shredded coconut

Squeeze out any excess liquid from the grated carrot.

Place all the ingredients, apart from the coconut, into a food processor and process until the mixture comes together in a large clump, scraping down the sides of the bowl a couple of times, if necessary.

Line a plate or baking sheet with parchment paper.

Take a teaspoon of the mixture, roll into a ball, and place on the parchment paper. Repeat to make 12–14 golfball-sized spheres in total.

Put the shredded coconut into a bowl and roll each ball in the coconut to coat. Place the balls on the lined plate and refrigerate overnight.

Mmm let’s see…

-I can cook. Not, like, super well, but well enough that I can feed myself some yummy, healthy food!

-when I’m in the right mental space, I can write a LOT in one day, for many days in a row

-I’m good at planning things out! Like travel and events and things ^_^

-I feel like I’m a fairly open-minded, non-judgmental person. I try to see multiple sides of the same issue and not judge people negatively

-Ummm….I can eat a LOT of dessert. Does that count as a positive?? Well, it DOES NOW, ehehe

Taking myself out for brekky on a Monday 😊 didn’t bring breakfast on the go today so I’m having an acai bowl while I sit next to the heater so I don’t freeze ☃ I also have some news!!! SO, I’m changing my Instagram. I’m going to change it to a recipe based Instagram for now! Instead of releasing my ebook I’m just going to slowly put out the recipes on this Instagram for you all to use and also photos of yummy meals I go out for! I’ve also changed my Mindset about my food lifestyle recently which is why I haven’t been uploading a whole lot. I love eating healthy and the way it makes me feel. But I also love burgers and lollies. I used to be one of those people who would say ‘look I can eat burgers and ice cream and wake up in the morning with abs still’ but really. Who cares. It shouldn’t be about that. You should be Able to eat whatever you want and not have to justify or prove anything to anyone. Life shouldn’t be about fitting thing into your macros or having dedicated cheat meals and saying no to going out for ice cream because it’s not cheat time yet. Fair fair, if you are trying to lose weight, have a Comp coming up, have fitness goals you’re looking to achieve ASAP, then yeah being strict is what you have to do to get there. But me. I don’t have any major goals, I am happy with where I’m at. Yeah I could be leaner and fitter but I’m not in any rush. I’m just exercising as I please, eating as I please and enjoying life with friends and family. I do eat 80% healthy but I also go out for ice cream, burgers and eat lollies regularly too. Because I can. It’s my choice. Maybe in future I’ll want to be a little stricter, who knows ? Do whatever the hell you want. If you want to lose weight, cool. If you want to gain muscle, go for it! If you want to run a marathon, work towards it! If you’re happy where you are, then keep doing what you’re doing. Everyone has different ways of reaching their goals and living there life. Looking back at December, it’s pretty safe to say our diets weren’t totally ideal – it’s a given that we’ll indulge a little more around Christmas time. But January is well and truly here, and there’s no better time to focus on fuelling our bodies with yummy, healthy, skin-loving foods!

We heart fruits and vegetables – they’re great for our skin, and for our bodies too. Once you get into the habit of packing your meals and snacks full of nutrients, it can become second nature. Your skin will thank you for it! We love to include fruit with meals, particularly breakfast and lunch (bananas, apples, berries and oranges are some of our current favourites!) and there are unlimited possibilities for filling your dinners full of veggies too!
