Hi all! I am new on Tumblr, but been on this ship for 3 years as anon & I FINALLY come off of anon & boy did I pick a great time for my debut (joking)! I never posted much as an anon but read EVERYTHING (except anti's/Samzie's/Tait's crap, because it just cranked my aggravation level to an all time high. I have 1 question: How the hell can we ship anyone if we can't talk about them or discuss it. I 100% agree they are feeding off our blogs, so what do we discuss? The weather?

Well….from now on I’m just reposting cute pics of SC… :)

can we just appreciate how great isak is at taking good advice? and how it always moved things forward?

“Straight up. Chiller hjemme.” (Jonas)

“Hate comes from fear, not religion.” (Sana)

“What about how Even feels? Just talk to him.” (Magnus)

“If it feels like too much, just take it minute by minute.” (Sonja)

Okay but can we talk about the fact that even Victor has insecurities?

And this is huge because Victor knows that he’s beautiful, and he knows that he’s irresistible, and he knows that he’s extremely skilled and he knows that no one can hold a candle to his skating and we’d be ready to think he’s confident about literally every part of himself.

But then it turns out that even the great Victor himself has things he’s self-conscious about - his receding hairline, or more accurately, his age.

Because he may be only 27 but that’s old for figure skaters and he should really be retiring now. His body won’t be flexible for very long now and soon he just won’t be able to keep up the skating class and quality he had had for his entire life. And it very much seems like he doesn’t have much more in his life than skating and once that’s over, he’ll be nothing but an ex-figure skater with a dog and absolutely no plans for the rest of his life.

And his hair is a reminder of that fact. It’s a reminder that once he stops being the best, he’ll have to quit skating because the moment someone beats him on the podium he will become irrelevant because he’s just too old and it’s time for the next generation to shine. And remember that he’s surrounded by people who are younger than him and he’s the oldest (iirc) skater in the senior division. The pressure he’s facing is extreme.

Maybe I’m reading too far into this but keep reading if you think you might feel the same about what the show is trying to say.

Can we talk about how great it was to see Sam lounging on Jody's couch?

He was clearly so comfortable there. He felt safe and at home, and he was happy to just be there with Jody and Dean, eating pizza and having some down time.

He was practically lying on that couch, he was so comfortable, resting his pizza on his tummy.

The little grins he kept sharing with the two of them were so great to see. I know the scene was short, but it means so much to me to see them like that.

We haven’t seen this side of Sam in weeks, months, and I love that we were given it, no matter how short it lasted.

Zuko’s Redemption Arc:

“Growing up, we were taught that the Fire Nation was the greatest civilization in history, and somehow, the war was our way of sharing our greatness with the rest of the world. What an amazing lie that was. The people of the world are terrified by the Fire Nation. They don’t see our greatness. They hate us, and we deserve it. We’ve created an era of fear in the world.”

Can we just talk about how impressive this was and how well-written it was? I know I like to do a lot of critiquing meta, but I’m gonna do a positive one today. Zuko facing his father was a scene the entire series built up towards. Throughout the first two seasons, Zuko’s father is shrouded in mystery, and you only hear about him through the menacing memories Zuko holds, and the impersonal impression the world has of his tyrannical reign. But, in the third book, you are shown Fire Lord Ozai, and he isn’t this grotesque, horrific sight: he looks exactly like Zuko, but without a scar- older. That was a clever buildup and character design.

But, this scene never ceases to amaze me, nor does Zuko’s character arc. Zuko has been abused so severely. He’s been beaten down from his upbeat, lively, natural self that we see when he is little. When he is thirteen, and goes to the war meeting, we see a little boy who, despite the trauma of losing his mother, and being abused by his dad, is still eager, optimistic, loving, social, and confident. After his banishment, he becomes repressed, pessimistic, cold, more aloof, and painfully insecure, masked with arrogance that is expected in his culture.

Zuko has been locked in a palace with no interaction with any peers, or anyone his age, or anyone at all- except Azula’s little friends who were strung along into tormenting him, his mother, and from time-to-time: his uncle and adult cousin. He has been stripped of every ounce of confidence and optimism he had, yet his loving nature still shone through in the series. We could always tell that Zuko was repressing his sensitivity, and that he could not bring himself to cut off entirely his strong sense of empathy that got him into the situation of banishment in the first place. Ozai hated Zuko for his empathy, that was weak to the imperial Fire Nation. But, Zuko was bursting with it. He and Azula, have always possessed prowess in emotional intelligence, just in different aspects and choices of execution that parallel.  Ozai perferred what Azula did with it. Nothing was weaker than compassion, and Zuko held it innately in his personality. We see it when he speaks with characters even before his redemption. When he interacts with his uncle we see it the most, when he just knows what his uncle is thinking and feeling before he even says it, even when he saves his crew, when he spares Zhao, when he helps Song, when he helps Lee and his family, when he opens up his heart to Katara, when his true, repressed nature comes to light when he frees Appa, when he overcomes his social anxiety from his abuse and palace sheltering and comes out with kindness to Jin- all of it.

And, Zuko finally speaks his mind to this man who cast him aside like he was nothing. This is the most difficult thing for an abuse victim to do. And, Zuko comes to a full realization through his abuse and struggles. He now realizes that he had been brainwashed by his culture- his father. His father hurt him, Zuko realizes he mustn’t blame himself. It’s his father, and it is his people who are hurting the world. This is a revelation wise beyond Zuko’s years, and not oft-noted enough the amount of intelligence, maturity, courage, and of course: honor this took. Zuko took out his father, not with a lightning bolt, but with swift eloquence and concise truths of humanity Zuko has, deep down, known all along.

Zuko deserves more credit. He overcame so much. He won, in the end. He overcame all his hardships, and got love. He gained back his confidence, and blossomed socially, gaining friends, something Azula never could do, and he accepted himself, something Azula too, could never do, and he regained his sense of hope for the world and optimism, something Azula could never hold. These parallels were so fascinating, showing two sides of what abuse can do, and how you can choose your own fate with your own actions, in spite of your maltreatment.

Zuko deserves more credit.

which is why the comics infuriate me for regressing on this, and the other characters arcs HUH HEMM, but this is a positive meta

hc: blue talks to lance. not like black lion who gives shiro visions or keith who just gives him feelings but like an actual voice that comes from blue lion speaks to lance bc they’re just that close and it really takes everyone by surprise

like maybe they’re on a mission and they’re about to get hit by something they can’t see and lance shouts for them to move and saves them just in time and later shiro will ask “hey that was great quick thinking how’d you know we were going to get hit?”

and lance is all “ohh nah it was nothing, blue told me”

and pidge is like “oh you felt it through your bond?”

and lance says “no i mean she told me. in my mind”

they all stare at him and are like “lance…the lions don’t talk”

lance looks at them like they’re crazy “yeah they do blue talks to me all the time. yours do too tho they kind of ignore me cause I’m not their pilot”

and that’s how they learn lance can actually speak to the lions

Can we just talk about how great HTGAWM is at representing gay sex? Like Connor not only has love scenes with his boyfriend. He’s had one night stands, he’s had actual sex scenes with men that are just as graphic, just as sexual, every bit as sexy as any straight sex scene. Where does this happen on any other show? We have Shadowhunters that doesn’t show the sex at all, and barely mentions it. We have shameless that will choose to have all the straight couples have tit bouncing sex every episode, but cuts away from Mickey and Ian whenever anything gets too sexual. I mean! This is an ABC show, and it is showing gay and straight sex as equal. Yes it falls short in some other areas (biphobic comments etc) but look at this media compared to other shows on television right now. This is a good step in the right direction.

I’m speechless after this video. I literally have nothing to say. Jack seemed to say all the words that were going through my head. I would just be quoting a lot of what he said in this video if I tried to share my own thoughts right now.

The one thing I will say is, this inspires me so much, to see Jack make a video, talking about some really serious stuff he normally would never talk about in videos, but this was a special cause, because it was someone who means a great deal to him. People can disagree with what Jack said in this video, or completely agree with it, or have no opinions on the matter, whatever.

Felix’s joke may have been bad, but that doesn’t make him a bad person. We all have accidentally said something that could be taken out of context, but in Felix’s case, this is a lot more serious, just because of how popular he is. But we all make some REALLY bad mistakes sometimes, no one can honestly say they never have, but please show respect towards him. Show some humanity. It really brings me down, seeing how people hear someone say something really bad as a joke, even if that person know they shouldn’t be doing that, but that doesn’t mean the other person has to pretend they don’t know it’s a joke, just because they wanna start some shit, and spread pointless negativity.

I believe Jack when he says Felix is a good person, he has a really good judge of character I think. And from what I’ve seen, I think he’s a great person as well, he has a good heart. He just made one really bad, stupid, mistake…as we all have. I just hope humanity has enough of a heart and soul left to forgive him for that mistake. Anyway, I don’t wanna go on forever, I haven’t been keeping up with what’s going on with the whole thing, but I am aware of the things Jack was talking about in this video, and that’s about it. So please, don’t hate on me too harshly, I was just sharing the thoughts Jack got stirring around in my head.

some things overlooked

hey so,, i find it odd that there are some episodes and characters that i havent seen anyone talk/analyze/make posts about at all??? even if there were some discussions about it, there definitely werent a lot, or at least i just never saw any of it. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯  it kind of feels like there’s a big void in the fandom. guys, shipping is great and all, but i feel as if we’re forgetting about some important things in the show, so heres this post:

-i havent seen talk about “Is Mystery” even though it reveals that Ludo is doing some shady shady business and it will certainly come up again

-can we all just rejoice in Buff Frog’s character development?? i feel as if a lot of people have heavily overlooked Buff Frog and how much he grew and changed over this show

-no one talks about most of the events and from this episode, the Bureaucracy of Magic, or Glossaryck as a character in general… ??  The Queen literally says something shifting magic in the universe and tells Glossaryck to train Star faster, and we have this whole revelation of Glossaryck and his wisdom with training Star differently… but guys. Glossaryck is gone. this IS IMPORTANT

-following the events of St. Olga, Miss Heinous sent a hugeass lizard to track down Star and Marco (though more specifically Marco). although it was unsuccessful and this is literally mentioned once this season, we cant forget about this. Obviously the St. Olga issue has to come up again and tie into the butterfly monarchy and what not, adding another danger Star and Marco may face

-Can I just say that I was really impressed with the idea that all the little creatures in Star’s spells had their own little lives and community in her wand? It was a very neat and creative concept for an episode that was explored but i havent come across any cool theories/discussion about this…  has these creatures always existed in the wand? Do the creatures change depending on who holds the wand as it is passed down to generations?? ???

Can we talk about how Clarke didn’t throw Bellamy under the bus when people were shouting about the list and how she was on it….she didn’t say “I didn’t even do that, Bellamy did” and she could have so easily made it know he was there and he was part of it.
But she would never. Never. She wouldn’t put Bellamy through persecution with her. She just takes it all herself. I think that shows such true love and such good leadership on her part. Maybe her decisions haven’t been great recently but damn she’s doing the best she can.
Plus just another bellarke thought, that’s some real love.

This is the first show where everyone can see my whole outfit. I’m so blessed and so grateful. I just had my period but I’m so happy my period had started and my ovaries…that I can just start producing again, that’s how happy I am. Anyway, back to my outfit. This whole album cycle, every time we get to the venue, I’m like, ugh, no one is going to see how I got my pants tapered at the tailor and got these great boots, and they were expensive, like, wait until everyone sees me. Then it’s basically my face and bad lighting. Probably should have saved the money on the boots and bought low-tops.

Ok but like consider a season of Big Brother where instead of the jury being sequestered away to another house, they stay in the house after being eliminated and then they just get to chill until they vote for the winner. Like highkey, imagine how great the season would’ve been last season if Da’Vonne never got sent to the jury house and we could’ve seen her kill Paulie and Co. after being “evicted” in the house, also this way our faves can still be watched on live stream even after being evicted. And it’d be funny watching all the people who talked shit about players like Natalie suddenly kiss her ass for like 2 straight weeks just to get her vote at the end.

Can we talk about how unprepared I was to see Rogue One

*first enters movie theater*: I’m so pumped this movie is gonna be great! I’m so excited to see all these badass characters! Yah!

*after leaving the movie*: My body is literally shaking I don’t know what to do with the emotions I am currently experiencing. What just happened…

There was some unfinished business there, but we were always absolutely clear he was dead. People said we were making that up, but the power of that rooftop scene would have been destroyed in retrospect if he hadn’t really killed himself just to win an argument, which is what happened. It was great to get a bit of Andrew Scott back, it didn’t occur to us until quite late in the day that we could just do it. But we needed the flashback to fill in how this had happened. And you’ve got the perfect opportunity to bring back Moriarty and for two minutes to make it seem like he was arriving in the present day. It was fun.

Hogwarts houses talking about the Marauders
  • Hufflepuff: They were such great friends, you could see how much they cared about each other and the pranks were great.
  • Ravenclaw: Honestly for such amazing pranks they sure as hell had amazing brains
  • Slytherin: Even though we are supposed to be enemies, we can't deny that the Marauders were great prankers
