can we please talk about this scene

everything about this scene is precious gold but can we please talk about how Shiro took off his helmet so he could dry out his little hair tuft and how he’s immensely enjoying letting it blow freely in the wind

Ok ok ok, can we please talk about this scene from the trailers

Spoilers beyond this point. You’ve been warned. Ok so in the gif below Jyn is running with THE FREAKING DEATHSTAR PLANS. I know all I can do right now is talk about the Renora scene on the airship but can we please talk about the renora scene on the airship? But most importantly..REN’S EXPRESSIONS.

When he first looks at her, he looks a little unsure but then his face gradually turns into a soft expression.

It’s like Ren made the realization that he loves Nora (although, he probably realized that earlier when Nora pushed him under the building…or earlier than that but it’s now more apparent that the Grimm that killed his parents is dead and that’s A LOT off his shoulders and mind).

AND THEN HE STARTS MOVING HIS HAND TO HOLD HER HAND AND UGH THIS SCREENCAP DOESN’T DO ENOUGH TO CAPTURE HIS GROWING SMILE. ONE MILLION BLESSINGS TO THE ANIMATION TEAM FOR SAYING SO MUCH WITH JUST THE TINIEST LITTLE MOVEMENTS OF HIS FACE.

NORA’S INITIAL REACTION IS SO PURE AND CUTE AND EVERYTHING I EVER NEEDED. (And Ren’s face is just…wow…have you ever seen him more serene with the world because I haven’t)

And then Ren puts his hand on-top of Nora’s and Nora holds up his hand and I can just see her examining it like “he really put his hand on my hand”. The way they readjust their hands just kills me in the best way.

NORA’S EXPR/ESSION HERE IS EVEN PURER THAN THAT LAST ONE AND IT JUST SCREAMS “REALLY?”. Like, she’s looking at him to make sure what’s happening is really happening…that he might have the same feelings for her that she’s felt for him for so many years.

AND HE JUST CONFIRMS EVERYTHING SHE’S THINKING (AND HE /KNOWS/ SHE’S THINKING) BY GIVING A LITTLE NOD/CLOSING HIS EYES.

THAT LOOK RIGHT THERE I WILL TALK ABOUT THIS LOOK ALL DAMN DAY, WEEK, YEAR, AND CENTURY. THAT IS LOOK IS LOVE.

I thought this entire scene did an amazing job of developing their relationship and taking it beyond being close friends/crushes with just the smallest details in the animation. A kiss would have amazing and gladly accepted, but I thought their expressions and body language did soooo much more than what a kiss could have done here (besides, there’s plenty more time for kisses in the next volume ;)).

okay so i saw the new/last episode of hq season 3 today & i know everybody’s gonna be talking about everything that went down but i’m gonna talk about one of my favorite moments for a second

this scene right here (pls excuse my shitty screenshots):

i know this fandom very rarely puts their primary focus on tanaka (something,, all my friends know im quite bitter about) but like can we PLEASE appreciate him for a second?

tanaka has been acknowledged in canon to be one of the strongest players on the team & in every game he’s in we ALWAYS see him trying his best, saving the team’s ass, doing whatever it takes to keep the ball connected & keep them in the game & this match was no different (yes, i know all the players do their best but unlike tanaka, they usually get ample praise for this, which is why im only talking about him rn)

so in this scene we see the ball collide with hinata’s face (i think it was his face at least) quite violently & of course, tanaka looks extremely worried, but he knows hinata would want him to focus on the game & keep that ball in play no matter what, so tanaka DIVES for it & manages to connect it to his teammates, shouting for kageyama to receive it. but then you know what he does? as soon as he knows they’re safe for a moment, he turns & makes sure his teammate is okay. he stops thinking about the game for a second &, like the great caring upperclassman he’s always been, checks to see if hinata’s alright after that, what looked to be, painful hit to the face.

i know this moment probably didn’t stick out for a lot of ppl which i guess i can understand given the fast pace of the episode, but it’s small moments like these that just cement my love for tanaka & my place as a tanaka fan in this fandom. he’s so kind, protective, thoughtful, & just an all-around great person & i really wish the haikyuu fandom would pay more attention to him.

this is why he’s my favorite character. he’s in it to win it, but above all, he’s there for his teammates to rely on, he provides physical support during the games but also emotional/moral support as well (not just when they’re playing in matches, either. he’s always an encouraging voice in their lives).

anyway please appreciate our wonderful future ace of karasuno tanaka ryuunosuke because that boy deserves more love

I know that @harrys-shums already talked about the looks between Alec and Magnus in this scene—but can we also please take a second to examine Izzy here?

Because the moment the fighting between Alec and Lydia starts, she turns around and immediately seeks for Magnus. Knowing full well that he might be the only one in this situation who may have a calming effect on Alec. Which even further proves my point because Alec kinda barks at Izzy, too, “Not now, Izzy!” when she tells him to take a break. But he doesn’t yell at Magnus. He just searches for his eyes. Looking at him. Probably on the bridge of breaking down or totally losing it. While Magnus comes forward, slowly, observing the argument. Contemplating what to do now to calm Alec when Lydia just dismisses Alec.

I am just…

It’s just seconds. But their reactions. And the looks. I already feel like this clip messed me up so much emotionally.

About Yuri!!! on Ice ep 12

Before I start I have to say I cried because of this episode. Please do note that I’m not an emotional type of a person, I rarely cry. But I did. This just shows how precious the last episode is. Therefore, I’m not going to choose just some scenes like the previous rants. I will talk about AS MUCH SCENES AS I CAN because I have class after this.

First, this scene hit me. We all know that Victor smiles a lot, no? He looks happy most of the time so a scene where such a bright character has tears in his eyes…. just like someone punch me in the gut as I see it. Our living legend cried. Him getting mad? God I love how this show can properly portray human’s complex emotion.

YES FOR LETTING SOMEONE WHO’S NOT A SEIYUU INTO THIS SHOW. It adds the feel, that we’re actually invited to Spain in this show. Thank you Stéphane Lambiel for being a YOI family member ///v///

Then this scene also happened. I fucking feel for JJ. Like seriously. I was once a bowling player in the past and I fucked up my first competition. Pretty badly. So bad that it was like a beginner who hadn’t really played before and just suddenly showed up in a competition. I might not be a good player, but my scores in practices were fine. I really, really hated myself that time lol. That’s why I’m so glad JJ could pick himself up and finished his FS JJ style *CLAPS FOR JJ*

Yes, Seung Gil smiled for JJ I can’t even explain it well but his smile is so precious even more when he doesn’t do that often ///v///

Then. *clears throat* YOU CAN’T JUST NOT SMILING LOOKING AT PHICHIT LIKE SERIOUSLY. HE’S SO PRECIOUS I ALWAYS SMILE SEEING HIM///// And look at that dream of his OH MY GOD IS HE AN ANGEL????? Where’s my Phichit!!! on Ice I need it now

And this right here was making me cry again. THIS SHOW JUST PLAYED WITH MY EMOTION GOD–

This. Look at how they shook hands and then Yuuri letting go first leaving Victor’s hanging as if not wanting to let go. I sobbed.

Okay I admit I was too entranced by Yuuri’s performance, but this one hit me again. LET THIS HEALTHY RELATIONSHIP SINK INTO YOU GUYS. He doesn’t want to keep Victor to his side only. He also thinks of Victor, what is good for him and act to it. Though, if I can say something, it’s always good for you to think of your partner’s well-being, but the decision to act upon it is your partner’s. Respect their choices as well, okay? Let the both of you talk it out with cool head, I’m sure you’re going to be fine/// this psych student can’t stop herself to preach on this I’m so sorry Continue onto the next one!

At this point I cried. Congratulations Yuuri you’ve succeeded in making your point why you decided to retire across Victor. You light up Victor’s competitive side *cries again* Oh my God this is so beautiful I can’t thank Kubo-Sensei enough (;-;)

THEN IT’S THIS HOT STUFF’S TURN. Look at his face when Victor and Yuuri cheered for him. That’s just so cute OMG;;; Also,

NO, THANK YOU FOR BEING PRECIOUS.

OTABEK’S TURN!! At first I was like “Whoa he picked that piece?” when I heard the music playing. And the costume looks so good on him I LOVE IT. I was so entranced by the performance there was a time when I thought “If Otabek wins the gold medal I won’t be surprised, he’s so good;;”. He’s just so manly and solid I fall for him and I’m a fan of the piece he picked. But then…

The narration is Otabek’s but the scene was showing Yuri instead. I thought “…Oh no, it’s like he’s giving a place for Yuri to shine…” No, I’m not saying Yuri win because of Otabek giving him a slack. Yuri is capable, strong enough to win with his own skill to count on. It was just a hunch of mine, saying that Otabek isn’t going to win a medal and Yuri is going to get the gold medal.

Lastly, it’s Yuri’s turn. I’m so happy to see Yuri’s point of view and the flash back. Here we can see him getting his interest piqued by Yuuri. He didn’t suddenly mock Yuuri, instead he saw him as another competitor who could do better. For me, he’s not a childish brat who can only diss people out, he thinks of their capabilities too and that’s a good point of him.

Since he saw Yuuri as fellow competitor, he wants him to keep skating. This episode isn’t just about Yuuri making his point across to Victor through his skating, Yuri is also doing just that to Yuuri.

So turns out I guessed right. Yuri took the gold medal with Yuuri slightly behind. And then…

OH MY GOD I CRIED. YUURI WANTED VICTOR TO STAY WITH HIM IN COMPETITIVE FIGURE SKATING. Victor wanted to be with Yuuri. Yuuri wanted Victor to return to be a competitive skater that he is. Accomodate both and you got this. KUBO-SENSEI THANK YOU/////

So yeah I’m already happy with how the things are. I’m pleased to see this show. I thought it was just like that, but–

There’s Yuuri. With Victor’s free program. And I noticed how his costume was similar to Victor’s, only with different color. I kept watching and watching, entranced more and more to the performance. Both the choreograph and piece were so good I can watch it all day.

THEN I SAW VICTOR CASUALLY SKATING INTO THE RINK AND I SCREAMED INTERNALLY I CAN’T EVEN SCREAM PROPERLY. IT’S A FRIGGIN’ PAIR SKATING OF VICTUURI I’M–

SO BEAUTIFUL KUBO-SENSEI I’M CRYING I CAN’T THANK YOU ENOUGGHHH THANK YOU FOR MAKING SUCH A BEAUTIFUL SHOW now I’m getting emotional

I hope we can see more of your works, Sensei.

See you NEXT LEVEL!!

Can we talk about this scene, please?

Hinami says that Akira is important to Kaneki. Banjou smiles and turns towards Seidou as if he’s thinking “She’s important to this guy, too”.

Banjou has been with Akira all of the time after the Rue operation. So assuming that Seidou stayed with him the whole month and never left Akira’s side, Banjou must’ve realized that Seidou cares about her a lot and is waiting for her to wake up.

yuuri has grown so much as a person!!!

i’m not going to do a long, detailed analysis on this cos i’m sure there is much to be said, but i do just want to talk abt this brief scene which was actually my favourite part of ep 11.

so after JJ flubs his final jump, we see yuuri having this little internal monologue:

(pls excuse JJ looking funny here LOL)

can we please talk about how yuuri is finally giving himself credit for being among the top 6 skaters???

we know that this isn’t the first time he has qualified for the grand prix final, but it’s pretty evident from the rest of this series that until recently, he had been preoccupied with just his failures as opposed to accomplishments throughout his ice skating career.

and this is extremely significant because in all those flashbacks to the previous year’s GPF, yuuri saw himself failing all his jumps and we can tell he likely felt a certain degree of shame over it which then affected his confidence.

this time, yuuri failed to land a jump again. even though he performed much better than the last year, failing to land only one jump, it’s still obvious how much it bothered him from the way he reacted after his performance.

(don’t u just want to hug this poor baby? ;-;)

yet, moments later the same episode, we see that yuuri has managed to pick himself back up. he sees another skater failing his jumps and for a moment sees himself in him, before realising that it’s not quite the same. JJ had been taking risks which yuuri never had the confidence to do so before.

here, yuuri also realises that he now has the confidence to take risks and gives himself credit for doing so. on top of that, he also finally manages to see that he has accomplished something - “after all, i’ve managed to become one of the final six”!

being with viktor the past 8 months has seriously helped this boy immensely with not just building self-confidence, but also accepting himself. i cannot begin to emphasise how incredibly important this is, because while being confident feels good, self-acceptance reflects an ability to pick himself back up and dust himself off even if he hasn’t managed to succeed.

before, yuuri would have shied away and agonised over his failures. but this time, he’s confronting them, accepting them. i am honestly just so damned proud of this man and how far he’s come since his last GPF.

(s/n: i intend to make another post abt how viktor helped yuuri accept himself and his mistakes/failures by examining the parallels between ep 5 and ep 7, so stay tuned!)

Can we please just take a moment to talk about this fight scene? When Caspian says here “You abandoned Narnia” and the look here on his face, the pure guilt and heartbreak like he’s almost pleading like we didn’t have a choice. like you think I wanted to leave? You think I enjoyed growing up to be a man and lived this whole wonderful life and then have it all snatched away in a second and having to grow up again as a child after living a life as an adult? You think I wanted to leave?just slow hand clapping for will here you guys his look here is if someone with knowledge beyond his years

CAN WE PLEASE TALK ABOUT HOW PERFECT WAS THE PART WHEN MALIA AND PETER WERE PROTECTING EACH OTHER 😭😭❤

[Favorite episode ever]

Closet Monster (2015) - Stephen Dunn

5 bullets on this film:

  • The plot isn’t really original, it’s the usual coming-of-age film about a boy struggling with his sexuality, but it’s very realistic and inspiring.
  • The actors are amazing, but Connor Jessup, who plays the protagonist, is woah.  You can really notice that he’s feeling his character.

  • The cinematography and the soundtrack are very on point.

  • The only thing that bothered me was that you can really notice Xavier Dolan’s influence and some scenes were the same as J’ai Tué ma Mère and Les Amours Imaginaires. And I mean LITERALLY the same.

  • MAN, I LOVED THAT TALKING HAMSTER!!!! CAN WE GIVE AN OSCAR TO THAT HAMSTER? PLEASE!!!!!!!

i…can we please talk about this?! (source)

Yeah, yeah, the airport scene was gorgeous and all, yes, but can we pLEASE talk about how supportive Yurio was in this episode? Like for a second there, he didn’t care about if Yuuri beat him or not, he just knew that Yuuri needed the encouragement and support that he didn’t have and he was willing to give it to him. And I don’t know about you but I think that is pretty amazing because we all have seen how Yurio feels about/ acts toward Yuuri, but he knew that right then, that wasn’t important. It truly does take a lot of maturity and respect to put your own feelings aside for a bit and just do something for someone else, not because you want to, but because you know they need it.

PLEASE READ! PREDICTION FOR NEXT WEEKS EPISODE!!

Okay so I took my time looking through the scenes and the preview next week and I have to talk about this.

So we see Yuuri all happy with his fiancé Viktor probably telling him you’ll be great and you can see Yuuri’s ring which is beautiful.

Then the next scene, it shows Yurio eyes wide with them shaking. I mean this could stand for a lot of reasons, but maybe it’s just me. I believe something bad happened to Yuuri while he was skating. Yurio’s face shows terror and maybe he’s gets scared when he sees Yuuri just fall on the ice and break his leg.

Then it goes to Viktor holding onto Makkachin and petting him. How swee- BUT WAIT! As you can see by this scene from episode 10, Makkachin is in Japan with Yuuri’s family. So how did Viktor get to his dog?! Did he go back to Japan because Yuuri hurt himself and he wanted to spend time with Yuuri’s family? Because obviously Makkachin doesn’t pop up out of no where and is like “Pet me.” But did you also notice how strong Viktor hugged Makkachin. Like he looked like he was comforting him. NOW I AM WORRIED FOR NEXT WEEKS EPISODE! IF THERE IS ANGST IM GOING GO CRY.

So, while we are all going crazy about the upcoming (please don’t fail us Blizzard) LGBT character(s ?) in Overwatch and hoping that it will involve a cowboy and a grumpy samurai, I was thinking about a way they could introduce a romance in a Overwatch movie.

Because of course we would not have a 100% Mchanzo movie, miracles like this doesn’t happen, get realistic. If a movie is made, I think it will be about Soldier76 and Reaper and “you were my friend ! Stop being a villain please !” and “we have to save the world once again !”.

It would be great and awesome but WHAT IF, in the middle of this, they add little scenes in the background with Jesse and Hanzo slowly getting together ?

Like serious conversation between Jack and Winston in the base kitchen, talking about the world’s future etc, and behind them, we can see the dorks talking to each other, or while the camera focus on Jack walking around the base, he passes by Jesse while he’s smoking, then Hanzo passes by and Jesse simple follows him with his eyes. In a fight scene, screenshot with the entire team rising after an explosion/rough landing/whatever, and in the back, Hanzo lends a hand to Jesse to help him getting upright. And so on and so on until the end of the movie during the “we saved the world” party, because a movie like this always has this kind of end scene, and there’s this little moment with Lena, Lucio and Genji (or others) looking by the window with binoculars, and Jack is like “wtf kids ?” and they’re all “the cowboy finally made a move, they’re talking down there, I have 30 credits on this” and Jack is like “since when the two of them is a thing ????”. Then just after we have a talk with a lot of feels with Jack and Winston or Gabriel being a good guy again with a speech full of patriotism and “we’re home again, yeaaah we’re awesome” and then they’re surprised by a loud uproar of cheers coming from the trio and Genji shouting “Anijaaaaaaa I’m so proud of you !”.

Give me at least that please. That would be awesome.

CAN WE PLEASE

Talk about last episode of This is Us?
I haven’t seen it whole but I saw last scene between Kevin and Randall.
And I just can’t take all of the feeling.
Kevin basically abonded his play, the play he worked hard for, the play that was supposed to be his first real big theatre project. He just dropped everything and run after Randall because he knew that something is wrong.
Kevin was always in distance with Randall, hated the fact that their parents paid more attention to Randall, etc.
We saw the scene where teenage Randall had panic attack/breakdown (correct me if I am wrong) and teenage Kevin saw it and simply ignore it.
But this time.
Damn.
The way he looked at Randall sitting in corner in tears punched my heart. The way Kevin said Randall’s name was so sad and touching.
How he didn’t know what to do as first so he just gently stroked his leg. I mean it might be nothing special but you could feel how he tried be careful, gentle.
And then he just cradled and held him.
This scene was hearbreaking but heartwarming in same time.

Scenes like this are reason why I watch and absolutely love This is Us.
