can we please talk about this scene

Please let’s talk about Maggie ‘selflessly looking out for Alex’ Sawyer for a moment please. Now, we know what her coming out was like:

So let’s go back and look at this scenes with this new knowledge of Maggie’s background:

We have her apologizing to Alex, cos she knows from her own experience it’s nobody place to out somebody else.

Imagine how Maggie must have felt, listening to Alex’s coming out, being as much supportive as she can, cos she wants her to have it better than she did.

Here according to new canon, Maggie is lying. Sadly I think when Floriana was shooting this scene, the writers didn’t have the Maggie’s coming out story figured out yet. Cos I believe Flo would act this differently, if she was aware of the fact Maggie is lying at the moment. Her response feels genuine, remembering her parents reaction, it just doesn’t hint in any way that Maggie might be lying, no hint of sadness in her face or voice, nothing. I am a little sad about this, because I believe Flo would act this out very differently if she knew Maggie is lying and why she is doing so.

Maggie is genuinely happy for Alex at this moment and still 100% supportive, bottling up all the feelings she must have had while learning new information about Alex’s coming out.

Again, imagine what Maggie must have felt at this moment. Happy for Alex, but nevertheless hurting inside, remembering her own parents reaction.

And after all of that, all of things Maggie has been through in her life, we got this:

And that is not all. Although she had every right to crumble under all of the emotions bubbling up with the Valentine’s day and with Alex surprising her against her wishes, she realizes she hurt Alex’s feelings with her behavior and apologizes:

Maggie is as selfless person as it gets. Thinking about Alex and her coming out going alright, way before she even realized she might have some feelings for her. Caring for her because she is her friend, wanting her not to suffer in any way as she did with her own coming out. Putting aside her own hurt, old wounds and bad experience, being nothing else than super supportive friend and later a girlfriend.

Maggie Sawyer is a hero to me and I hope Alex feels the same way.

but can we talk about alec telling magnus how his father proposed to his mother??? like, what else did he tell him?? do they just sit on magnus’ balcony and talk about stuff like that in between their make out sessions??? does alec talk about his family all the time because they are the most important thing to him and does magnus talk about all the famous people he met over the centuries and tell their dirty little secrets to make alec laugh??? like, i’d pay actual money just to see a scene, just one (1) scene like this!!!!! please!!!!!

I know all I can do right now is talk about the Renora scene on the airship but can we please talk about the renora scene on the airship? But most importantly..REN’S EXPRESSIONS.

When he first looks at her, he looks a little unsure but then his face gradually turns into a soft expression.

It’s like Ren made the realization that he loves Nora (although, he probably realized that earlier when Nora pushed him under the building…or earlier than that but it’s now more apparent that the Grimm that killed his parents is dead and that’s A LOT off his shoulders and mind).

NORA’S INITIAL REACTION IS SO PURE AND CUTE AND EVERYTHING I EVER NEEDED. (And Ren’s face is just…wow…have you ever seen him more serene with the world because I haven’t)

And then Ren puts his hand on-top of Nora’s and Nora holds up his hand and I can just see her examining it like “he really put his hand on my hand”. The way they readjust their hands just kills me in the best way.

NORA’S EXPR/ESSION HERE IS EVEN PURER THAN THAT LAST ONE AND IT JUST SCREAMS “REALLY?”. Like, she’s looking at him to make sure what’s happening is really happening…that he might have the same feelings for her that she’s felt for him for so many years.

I thought this entire scene did an amazing job of developing their relationship and taking it beyond being close friends/crushes with just the smallest details in the animation. A kiss would have amazing and gladly accepted, but I thought their expressions and body language did soooo much more than what a kiss could have done here (besides, there’s plenty more time for kisses in the next volume ;)).

It’s interesting because Star Wars continues to evolve and George when watching that scene, he really liked it, but then he went “Uhhh, we have to take that scene out.” “Why, George?” “Because the Sith can’t become ghosts. That’s not what they do. They’re so concerned with their corporeal existence, and wealth, and power that they can’t think beyond that. They don’t think about the afterlife. That’s why they’re all afraid to die. That’s why they’re always trying to figure out how to cheat death.” […] So that scene was cut. But that’s the cool thing about The Clone Wars. It’s the last George Lucas produced Star Wars. And there’s so much you can learn about that mythology by watching that show very carefully.

everything about this scene is precious gold but can we please talk about how Shiro took off his helmet so he could dry out his little hair tuft and how he’s immensely enjoying letting it blow freely in the wind

Molly got her happy ending

I see a lot of posts saying Molly Hooper deserved better, poor Molly or Molly is such a weak character. Really, are they all watching the same show. So here I am trying my best to negate them.

I think she is the strongest and  the most badass character on the show.  You don’t need to be a consulting detective, an ex-army man, an ex- super agent, the British Government, a DI, the widow of a drug dealer or a dominatrix to be considered badass.  Look at our sweet pathologist Molly, she dated and dumped Jim Moriarty (the Consulting Criminal) and she was so freaking  casual about it.

She wasn’t scared or worried even after knowing who Jim really is, and can we please talk about how she casually calls him “Jim” , whereas every other character addresses him by his full name or Moriarty as they are all a bit scared of him. It’s still a bit unclear as to why Jim let her walk away unscathed even after “she ended it” (my Molliarty shipper heart has its own reasons though). Anyway this is just one of the instances to show that Molly is neither a weak nor a timid character.

Now coming to the ILY scene, a lot of wonderful meta is already written about it but I would like to add my two cents to it. Firstly, I think Jim Moriarty is the one who told Eurus about Molly because the Jim we all know ( come on he’s a genius) would take into consideration the various possibilities regarding The Fall. He would have considered the  possibility of Sherlock going to Molly for help, as he knows Molly loves Sherlock and  would help him regardless of what people say.  I think Jim always planned for Molly to be a part of The final Problem. Anyway coming back to the ILY scene, I don’t know if this was deliberately done by the writers or not but there is an important thing we tend to miss.  John “ I see but I don’t observe” Watson thinks the coffin is for Adler and Mycroft “ I’m the smart one” Holmes  thinks the coffin is for somebody who loves Sherlock, both of them are wrong because the person who is in the coffin doesn’t write their own epitaph or the engraving “I Love you”. It’s the person who buries them, in this case it’s Sherlock who has to bury Molly if she dies, who writes the epitaph. So the whole point of the scene is to get Sherlock to admit his feelings and say the words to Molly. He most definitely means it when he says it the second time because that is the look of realization of a man who has fallen in love for the first time.

Molly deserves to have her love and feelings returned by the man she’s always loved and that is exactly what happened in TFP.  Even Loo Brealey in a recent interview said “ After playing Molly for seven years it was great to do her justice and give her a good send-off if it is the end…” I think this means Molly got her happy ending and we all know what her happy ending is and more importantly with whom.  So I don’t understand from where this ‘Molly deserves better’ posts are coming from.

My point being Molly got her happy ending and there is no need to take pity on her or call her weak. Thank you very much

Can we please talk about how surprised Mon-El seemed that just being there and holding Kara was enough?

I felt like when he was talking with Winn and he said “what’s left for me?” what he meant was “what’s left for me to do for her?” as in she’s Supergirl - what could she need from him? I think he was kind of afraid to ask and have her realize that she didn’t actually need him for anything.

I think he realized in their last scene that being there, supporting her in the simplest ways, was enough for her and it kinda blew him away. I think he was struggling to see what he could give to someone so incredible and strong and I think those little expressions - the smiles and the soft looks on his face - were showing us that he understands that yes she’s amazing beyond words but that doesn’t mean she doesn’t want someone to be there for her at the end of a terrible day.

He asked what she needed from him and he probably wasn’t prepared to hear that just being there was enough. From what we know about his past there probably hasn’t been a time in his life when just being Mon-El was enough for someone. Especially someone he cared about and that he wanted to comfort and support. He is so new to all of this and I can’t imagine what it meant to him for her to tell him that all she wanted from him… was him.

Can we please talk about that Welcome to the Madness extra bluray video and how Otabek just rips off Yurio’s glove with his teeth -like he could’ve bitten off his fingers and hurt the poor boy this is the most worrysome scene in anime history keep your doors locked people or Otabek will come into your house and bite your fingers off while you’re sleeping

okay so i think we can all agree that the plot of below her mouth was… meh.

but can we please talk about how good the sex scenes actually were? listen, if we compare this to that god awful mess that was blue is the warmest color, this was like… actually legit. like basically one third of below her mouth was sex scenes, and i’m not complaining because you know what, a lot of it was actually what sex between two women is like, and not solely a stereotypical porn insprired caricature captured with the male gaze.

goes to show, surprise surprise, that the people who should make movies about lesbians and love between women, are women.

So I’m watching the Yuri On Ice dub because im currently working on a little AMV for it and im watching episode four when this scene that we all know and love comes up

Yes, this one and then it goes to tHIS SCENE

TD12 & Mary

I was rewatching TLD and I don’t recall this being talked about. When Sherlock is in hospital we can see this scene

OH LOOK, The damn serum is glowing, by it’s own apparently! As you can see the bed light can’t hit the serum, or at least can’t hit it in a way it would glow like that. And there is no light source behind or beneath, you can even see how it’s glowing by the shadow on the ceiling.

And of course it reminded me to

Yes! TD12. Then I remembered how some people have talked about Mary possibly injecting the TD12 when Sherlock was again in hospital in HLV, so I searched for the scene. I didn’t recall if we could see the serum or not in that scene and I found this

The damn serum in the foreground and iluminated with a light like the TD12 just before Mary appears.

Also it makes me thing about the glowing skull as some people have already pointed.

Can we please talk about these scenes? The lust-filled haze that Robert Sugden is in? The fact that he is practically devouring Aaron’s lips? The fact that every cell in Robert’s body is craving Aaron? The fact that when Aaron shyly gets up to close the curtains, Robert is still holding on to his arm because he doesn’t want to let Aaron go? The fact that he can’t bear for his lips to be apart from Aaron’s? The fact that he would rather not breathe than stop kissing Aaron? Can we dwell on it because it was before anything that is happening right now? Can we dwell on it because at that point in time, none of the shite that is currently taking place on canon existed? Can we dwell on it because this is how much Robert Sugden really loves and wants Aaron Dingle?

I completely respect anyone who doesn’t want to do any of the above. But my positive side is in the mood to reminisce. So join me, if you like….

so instead of izzy being addicted to drugs, cl*mon, hurting raphael etc, can we please just have those scenes replaced with magnus doing magic or kicking ass please and thank you

okay casting aside for a moment but can we please talk about the soundtrack for the raven cycle show??? like can you imagine the edm blasting for the street racing scenes. or the slow acoustics for the intimate moments between gansey and blue. or the goddamned murder squash song.

Can we please talk about this scene?
Now - Charles says, ‘You’ve never looked more beautiful darling!’ - The key words here are NEVER and MORE. It means, Erik has looked beautiful before and that Charles has told it to him. This is some reverse psychology or reverse engineering shit. Isn’t it?

Erik’s expression simply gives it away. The man doesn’t let a fly near him; but when Charles tells him that he looks beautiful, he doesn’t even blink. He just looks confused about the change in topic.

THAT is not the reaction of the man who is hearing something like that for the first time.

Did the writers realise the implication of that line after filming and decided to delete it?

-Just putting it out there-
