Small sketch of Ibunduur the plant zombie and a birb! Ibun used to be an Orrian wizard who lost his body while messing up with forbidden magic, then hundreds of years later Wooch found his soul, went full Frankenstein and made a sylvari-like body with a human skeleton base for the soul to accomodate.
Ibun actually has a terrible personality so Wooch got him a raven chick to make him a bit more compassionate. It only helped a little, if at all, and the raven is Ibun’s partner in crime now.
don't you think that alex being so calm about what maggie did was a bit weird? it felt a bit weird to me....i thought she'd be mad or freak out, or something
No, it didn’t feel weird to me. They are adults, having a mature, emotionally stable relationship. They are at a point in which Alex is so confident in what they have, in Maggie’s feelings for her, that she doesn’t see a reason to worry about Maggie making the same mistake again and hurting her like that.
Alex knows Maggie enough to know she was probably worried. Which she was. If you re-watch the scene, Maggie was frantic, terrified of losing Alex. She probably was at a point, mentally, where she regressed to that 14 year old kid that was told to pack up her things and leave her home, her family. And what she needed was reassurance that she wasn’t being kicked out again. And that’s what Alex, as a sensible adult who knows that our past mistakes don’t define who we are, gave her – she was everything Maggie needed in that moment: loving, calm, understanding.
This might be Alex’s first real relationship, but in a sense it is too for Maggie. I believe this is the most open and honest Maggie has allowed herself to be with anyone, and things will only get more honest and open from now on. Maggie has to stop self-sabotaging her happiness and learn to accept she does deserve love, and Alex is proving that to her. This relationship is giving Maggie so many healing moments…
I might have issues with the execution and production side of things regarding Sanvers, but this is a truly beautiful, romantic story between two women who are learning to be open, and honest, and raw thanks to each other. And as someone who needs a little bit of healing from past shitty relationships, it’s something really nice to watch.
Also, it would’ve been hypocritical of her to freak out when just last week she was defending Mon-El’s right to a fresh start.
One of the reasons I think I like Emma Watson’s voice so much is because of how simple it is. She doesn’t hit insane notes like Paige O'Hara did. Although Paige has a beautiful voice and made the perfect Belle, I don’t think Belle necessarily needs to be a perfect singer. She is a country girl. She wears simple dresses and likes to read in her spare time. Belle isn’t a princess (well, not initially), she doesn’t like extravagant things. Belle likes books and Belle likes flowers. She grew up in a small village, although she wants much more than this provincial life. Belle is someone many people can probably relate to because of this. She isn’t necessarily special. She’s beautiful and intelligent, and independent to a fault, but she doesn’t have magical glowing hair or turn into a frog or have a pumpkin change into a carriage for her. Belle is, in essence, just a farm girl, and even though Emma admittedly isn’t the strongest singer, she has a rather nice voice and I think it fits the part of Belle very well.
and I like how she lowers the key so I have a better chance at hitting the notes
i have my final road test tomorrow. having postponed it twice last year, and having started practice driving when i was 16, it feels… surreal, to say the least, to think i could actually finally get my driver’s license for real.
Noah fence but if you think Angelina Jolie's head photoshopped onto a Brazilian woman's body on whom you've used a psd to whitewash to oblivion is somehow less problematic then honey you've got a big storm coming.
Noah fence but if you think that all la.tinas are brazilian then you really need to 1. fact check 2. reconsider everything because eriana is actually cuban lmao. repeat after me folks, not all poc are interchangeable !
ok so the first time i read this i was Legitimately worried bc i’d never thought about it as whitewashing because i’m literally only using her body (and, the last time i checked, certain body silhouettes / muscular structures are not exclusive to race? like … they really aren’t), and i still don’t think it is, especially after consulting a bunch of my friends (who are all woc), two of which are in fact, cuban. both of them said that they saw absolutely nothing wrong with it, and i’d really rather trust their word over an anonymous asker who can’t even get their ethnicities straight.
but i’d also like to explain exactly why/how i use her? eriana is STRICTLY a body reference, and in no way, shape, or form do i have the intention of somehow exploiting the fact that she is a woc. i don’t use her face / facial features, i just use her body, because it fits the most to what i’ve always imagined nat’s to be. (also shoutout to @vrooms for actually finding her for me after I Quit looking for body claims bc i couldn’t find any myself.) irt to the ‘whitewashing’ though, both of the aforementioned cuban friends who i spoke to both said separately that they are very fair skinned, which is very common for white-latinxs, which eriana most likely is. the thing also is that she’s a fitness model / body builder, and they often, no matter what race they are, tan themselves to accentuate their body / muscles. again, i can’t stress enough that i’m Only using her as a body reference because no one else works. & even then, she’s not EXACTLY how i imagine nat’s body to be, but she’s the damn closest.
but if anyone else wants to talk to me about this privately then i’d be very open?? like at this point i’m convinced this Lovely anon is a yt s.jw and it’s rly off putting but i’d love to discuss this with anyone who shares their views, i really don’t want to offend anybody who actually knows what they’re talking about (and would be willing to direct you to everyone i talked to about this before replying)
