Cute Grantaire things
  • often has cats with him. Either on his shoulders or in his arms or on his head!
  • sticks his tongue out when he’s concetrating!
  • puffs out his cheeks when he’s frustrated
  • extravagant gestures, like cartoony comics but in real life.
  • sweeping hugs! Including twirls and excited dancing, escpecially if the person has helped him with something he was stuck on.
  • has a baby face when he shaves.
  • not a small sneeze but unexpectedly soft.
  • pulls his beanies over his ears when embarassed
  • sings when he’s painting
  • bouncy walk when he’s happy.
  • his hair is pretty expressive for some reason and moves along with his mood (flat curls when tired, bouncy curls when happy and so on)
  • once drew blushies on the back of his hands and hid his face in them when Combeferre analyzed and complimented a painting he was insecure about.
  • draws little comic strips of moments in his life that make him smile
  • baby talks apples and generally gets really excited about apples.
  • very passionate about Greek and Roman mythology, as in “four hours analysis and personal interpretation of this one specific story that no one actually knows about”

the kind of storytelling that car boys is, the culmination of improvised comedy and storytelling, the game behaving in ways nobody expects, fan interpretations of the games behavior, and coming back around to nick and griffin including fans thoughts when coming up with new sitatuions and jokes to form the story, is amazing. it’s almost like reading cave paintings because the audience is taking something they see but don’t fully understand and making a story out of something someone else created. and nick and griffin have a lot element of control but not all of it. unlike the creators of cave paintings.

car boys is a story with 3 distinct authors: nick and griffin, the itself, and the audience. we wouldn’t have anything without nick and griffin venturing into the game, it would always be just nick and griffin dicking around with cars if the game didn’t glitch in such interesting and wild ways, and the glitches would just be funny and (if a little weird) if the audience didn’t interpret them as being extremely powerful and their own entity.

the shows ending is BUCKWILD but it’s believable because we know the game is also a capable author. nick and griffin were windows into the show for the audince and it’s believable that they got phsyically sucked into it and trapped there forever, because we’ve accepted the game does what it wants, outside of nick’s control.

and this can say a lot about our understaning of the internet and how we engage with it. but, again, none of it was planned and it would just be fan interpretation providing that deeper meaning. and, fans reading too much into the show is what made the finale that huge moment it turned out to be.

what a miracle of a show. i can’t wait to see more stuff like it, since i can’t think of anything that uses a similar kind of storytelling right now.

I can’t stop thinking about ‘it’s quite surreal’, and 'amazing, yeah. This is incredible, isn’t it?’ Because that’s how Sam and Anthony were last year. And they lost it so fast because people are awful.

With Theo and Samuel we have two young men, at the start of their career, and I just think that as a fandom we should be respectful of them and not invasive or over-excitable or rude or any of the other countless things we could do to them.

They’re human beings, doing a job that should probably be the most amazing, fun job in the world. And it looks like they’re going to be spectacular at it. But can we remember that they are just that? Human beings doing a job. They’re not toys. They’re not play things. They’re not characters. They’re not for us to speculate over or ship. They’re people with lives and families and friendships.

So can we please be kind to them and show them we care about them and value them, and not drive them away and make them jaded? Let them have this amazing experience without us ruining it for them.

They’re so young. And they deserve to enjoy themselves and keep the wonder we saw in the video today. Is that so much to ask? Can people please be nice?

I didn’t see this process play out from the beginning last time, but I know it’s coming this time and it’s horrible. It’s beginning already, and I hate everything about it.

This wonderful human has been following me for two months today, and supporting me for over three.
I can’t express how much I appreciate it, not just from Henrik but from everyone in this cast and this fandom. Your support means the world to me 💛

it's a thank you. after this finale, you're kind of the only one on my dash that actually gives me hope for next season, cas and destiel. so, you know, thanks.

You need to follow some positive blogs!

@amwritingmeta is basically my brain twin most days.

@bluestar86 @mittensmorgul @godshipsit @magnificent-winged-beast @shixpe @elizabethrobertajones @flyingfish1 @obsessionisaperfume are also positive and lovely people… chuck I’m sure I forgot some awesome people and I will feel bad but these are just off the top of my head!

I think some fans are just still reeling from Eileen, which WAS a total mess of a cock up, and are a bit annoyed generally that Destiel isn’t overtly canon yet (this is not something that bothers me because I see it as an overall, overreaching story for the whole series and having it canon before NOW doesn’t fit at ALL with where they are as characters. HOWEVER with what Dean has just gone through now I expect such heavy subtext that even casual viewers now notice much more early next season, as a continuation of the theme from this season with the mixtape, the pining, the worry etc. It should be this but on ACID, until Cas comes back. Watch this space, and we should have Cas’s arc soon too, though his is more complex than Dean’s as it has a few more facades to it so it may be more subtle to start with).

I still don’t think we will get CANON COUPLE DESTIEL until seriously close to endgame or even endgame itself, because that’s how this kind of story is told, so Im just enjoying the ride and the ride is freaking magical right now :)

I love the spoiler and I don't think it's rushed (story or relationship wise) I think the way it's happens is in character for Alex too! Very emotionally impulsive lol My hope is that any future problems for them come at them from outside their relationship, not within it. I don't want them to go through the break up/get back together cycle. I hate that. I want them fighting external problems together <3

ajghfaldgflkasdas… i just died and came back from the dead like three times while reading your ask?? dsjkfhalkfdhkaldsf… yeah you are right, i guess..i need to see the whole scene to make an actual opinion about it tho… but omg if they will drag us through some kind of pointless break-up, i will riot! But who knows…maybe we will finally get the (relationship) drama free, happy and healthy lesbian couple?

No offense but I’m not sure Bethesda will ever make a truly good Fallout game.

Yooo but what are the other Paladins backstories tho

Okay SO

Lance - Altean, Allura’s little brother. He also got sealed in a pod when it became clear that Zarkon was going to win the war, but on a completely different planet in a different ship (Alfor was keeping him and Allura separate so there would be a better chance at least one of them would survive). Lance gets found and released from his pod by a group of rebels. Years later, he finds the Blue Lion and she takes him to the Castle of Lions, where he finds and wakes up Allura and Coran (he had assumed they were both dead)

Hunk - Balmeran. His Balmera was destroyed the way the one in the show almost was, by the Galra sucking its resources dry. Rebels managed to get some Balmerans to safety before the planet collapsed entirely. Most of them resettle on other Balmeras but Hunk decides to join the rebellion, and he and Lance become friends

Pidge - Olkari. She escaped her planet to go after her father and her brother, who were taken by the Galra as part of a slave gang to help build something on another planet. She met up with Lance and Hunk and begrudgingly agreed to help the rebels if she can use their resources to search for her family

Keith - half-Galra (and looks Galra), but in this version his dad was abducted from Earth by aliens (someone other than the Galra. Maybe he was abducted with Kalti lol), and he eventually found and joined the rebellion against Zarkon and fell in love with a member of the Blade of Marmora. Both Keith’s parents died in a mission against Zarkon when he was still a baby, so he was raised by the Blade, primarily Ulaz

Shiro - his backstory is *mostly* the same, with a few key differences. I don’t want to reveal HOW he gets abducted by the Galra just yet, I’ll save that as a spoiler, but I can tell you there was no Kerberos mission in this version. Then, when Ulaz freed him, instead of sending him back to Earth, he sent him to the Blade, where he and Keith became friends before eventually finding the Red Lion together and then meeting up with the rest of the Paladins. Shiro was the first human Keith had ever met, the first person who could tell him about the planet his dad was from
