I still sleep most of my days away, I guess depression is still an island that I’m stranded on. I’m trying to be happier. I’m trying to laugh more. I’m trying to take care of myself, I’m doing a terrible job. I’m still trying to smile because fuck, if I can’t even smile through the bullshit, I don’t deserve to smile for the good parts. And even if these moments try to break me, I still believe that there’s hope for me. I still believe that there’s someone out there for me, even if most days it seems improbable. I’m looking for more options, I don’t want to be this sad. I don’t. So I write. So I draw. So I’m filling. So I’m pouring. So I’m trying to feel my emotions properly and fuck it, if I’m going to get hurt– might as well get hurt properly too. We’re all a bit damaged, I know that much. We’re all writers in a sense, we’re still trying to make up for those regrets because trust me, nothing’s worse than waking up just to fall back asleep. And if you sleep all day… nothing gets done, but we all need a break. We all need to relax. Just take a breath. It might be just what you will need to go on just for a little longer… even if it ends right where you started.
[Just as a warning: I don’t know what kind of drawing / doodle you will get. Some might be colored and/or detailed and others might not. I’m sorry if you end up thinking that it’s unfair I probably spent like 2 minutes on yours and 10 minutes on someone else’s.]
So now that I totally switched what I do to de-stress- I figured that I might as well do something like this. I don’t know how many people will see this / participate, but I realized that I should probably draw more now that I’m not constantly screaming about life for the most part.
Here’s what you need to do in order for me to check out your blog / draw:
-Reblog this post (likes will not count, but that doesn’t mean you can’t like this to save the post).
-Wait patiently (I know I probably don’t need to say this, but please give me time to figure out / draw something for you. I might dash out several pieces a day because I’m in some sort of drawing jazz, or I might not).
-Following me is not required, but it’d be much appreciated!
I will check out your blog (and maybe follow you depending on if I like your content or not), and then figure out something to draw based off of it. I might draw some random content I see that reoccurs on your blog, I might draw you, I might draw something inspired by your theme or something you like, etc. Bottom line is that I have no idea what will come your way, but when I’m done with it I will upload it in a single post, or with a few other drawings, tag your blog URL and the tag ‘mishion free for all’ in it. So keep an eye out for your notifications and/or ‘mishion free for all’!
OK I DIDN’T THINK THAT THIS WOULD GET THIS MANY NOTES. SO I’M TAPPING OUT. I’M SLAPPING THE GROUND WITH MY WHOLE BODY. I’M STOPPING AT 1400 NOTES. I’M SORRY FOR EVERYONE THAT WANTED TO HAVE ME DRAW SOMETHING FOR THEM, BUT WHEN I GET DONE. AND I WILL EVENTUALLY. I’LL REOPEN THIS POST.
“I think that’s what keeps drawing me to songwriting: the spontaneity of how you can get an idea at 4 in the morning or while walking through the airport, and also the fact that it’s conveying a message to someone that’s more real than what you had the courage to say in person.”
Percy Jackson: English oak and dragon heartstring, 12 ¾ inches.
English oak favors people who are loyal, especially to their friends, who are perceptive, and gives a great affinity for the magical world
Annabeth Chase: Annabeth: Fir and phoenix feather, 10 inches.
Fir is for survivors and those who are focused, strong-minded and, occasionally, intimidating. Phoenix feathers are for nonconformists
Luke Castellan: Hawthorn and phoenix feather, 10 ½ inches.
Hawthorn suits those of conflicting nature, adept at both healing and curses, and very powerful
Clarisse LaRue: Redwood and dragon heartstring, 9 ½ inches
Thalia Grace: Holly and dragon heartstring, 9 ¼ inches.
A wand suited for the impetuous and angry but also protective.
Will Solace: Willow and unicorn hair, 11 ¼ inches.
A wand for those willing to learn and with great potential. They are also very adept at healing
Nico DiAngelo: Elder and thestral hair, 10 7/8 inches.
Elder is deeply unlucky, but also ridiculously powerful. It was originally Bianca’s wand; Nico was 10 years old at the time of her death and had not been given one. Nico used it after Percy returned it to him after Bianca’s death.
Rachel Dare: Silver lime and unicorn hair, 10 2/3 inches.
Silver lime is good for fortune tellers and seers.
Jason Grace: Beech and dragon heartstring, 12 3/8 inches.
Beech is for those who are open minded and willing to learn (and they also make very handsome wands so it’s perfect for Golden Boy Jason)
Piper McLean: Hazel and unicorn hair, 9 1/8 inches
Hazel responds strongly to emotions and is exceptionally powerful when used skillfully
Leo Valdez: Ebony and Phoenix feather, 10 ¼ inches.
Ebony wands favor a individual person, comfortable in who they are.
Hazel Levesque: Elm and unicorn hair, 9 ¾ inches.
Inherited from her mother, Marie. Marie wanted an elm wand because of its reputation that only pure-bloods can use it; Given to Marie by Hazel’s father. The wand itself is richly decorated with gold and jewels.
Frank Zhang: Cypress and unicorn hair; 17 3/5 inches
Originally, Frank used his mother’s plum and dragon-heartstring wand, which itself was used by his grandmother, but the wand was broken early in his first year. Cypress is for the brave, self-sacrificing, and noble, often with a connection to good family, and similarly esteemed in China
Reyna Arellano: Vine and dragon heartstring, 11 7/8 inches.
She seeks a greater purpose and has a deep, often hidden personality
Octavian: Octavian: Spruce and unicorn hair, 8 ½ inches.
Firm handed, bold, and ambitious. Destroyed in the final battle with the dark sorceress Gaia.
Mike Kahale: Hawthorne and unicorn hair, 9 inches
Best suited to those of a conflicting nature. Lost when used by Octavian in the final battle against Gaia; the spell backfired, killing Octavian and flinging the wand to parts unkown.
Ok, so my son is in a Great Kindness Challenge at his school, which is a challenge to do 12 acts of kindness towards friends and strangers. So after seeing all the appalling hate and making some postshere and here about the hate…. I got inspired to try a new approach. I know that there is only so much that we can do on here, but as I said before: Words are powerful and can build a person up on tear them down. A kind act goes a long way, even if it’s a small message saying how loved the person is. We can all make a difference, if we try.

I challenge all of us to be kind. To make a difference.
I have always felt that Darry and Two-Bit had a deep friendship and no matter how ‘annoying’ or drunk Two-Bit was, Darry was always there by Two-Bit’s side. Meanwhile Two-Bit would do the same. These dorks are older than anyone in the gang, Two-Bit being the oldest (if you don’t believe me, it’s in the book) and I feel like Two-Bit is someone that Darry can have a simple chat to and can give him that daily dose of happiness to keep him going. After all, Darry works his butt probably everyday to support not only his brothers but the whole gang. This drawing was if Two-Bit got jumped or hurt at a rumble and Darry had to simply help out. These characters are so unappreciated so I felt that they deserved a little paragraph from moi :)
