Doing Good together, as ‘Camp Phoenix’

“We could do a lot of good for the world - build homes for the homeless children and for people with drug and psychological problems. Then it extends into the animal thing too. I feel that my family is very aware of the world and we would like to contribute to it and not abuse a position that we’re lucky enough to be in.”

Riv | Message of the day:

Very important to River. He spent so much time with them. He prioritised the people he loved in his life. Very Generous; financially supportive. Protective over his young siblings; the prefect big brother! ;)

“People wonder if I’ll always be a part of this family and the answer is yes. My family has a lot of good energy going in one direction and because of it, we get a lot of things done. That’s why I’ll always spend a lot of time at Camp Phoenix.”

[; So I’m reading the Farewell My Turnabout script for…reasons (you’ll see) and there’s a particular bit I found amusing:

  So listen to this, Pearly.
This one time at lawyer camp,

  I get it!
  Let's go take a look.

Now, this is obviously an American Pie reference (and is probably different in the original/japanese game), but Phoenix cuts her off fast and relents rather than letting her continue talking to Pearl.

The original quote from the movie is  “This one time, at band camp, I stuck a flute in my pussy.”

So it was probably something lewd and Phoenix was intervening for the sake of the eight year old present. But there’s another possible layer to the reference, which is the fact that there happens to be an AA character who canonically plays the flute. ]
