The legendary British actress is making her comeback in actor Ryan Gosling’s directorial debut Lost River (2014), premiering next month in the Un Certain Regard section of this year’s Cannes Film Festival.

Steele is playing a character called Belladonna, whom she described as “A character dark, disturbing, a diva of the past, a role almost to Norma Desmond in Sunset Boulevard.”
