WELCOME 2018!!!

Since orientation is a mere THREE WEEKS AWAY I thought it might be a good time to see if any of you are checking out the Wellesley tag ;D

My name is Cathleen and I am a rising junior, class of 2016! I am a music major and women and gender studies minor with a focus in public health. On campus I am the musical director of the Wellesley Widows, sing with the college choir and chamber singers, take voice lessons, work at cafe hoop, and will be an FYM this coming semester. I am BURSTING with excitement for you guys to get here!

If you have any questions about Wellesley, doing music, or queer culture then feel free to send them my way. Wellesley will be an adjustment but for me it’s been a life changing experience that I wouldn’t trade for the world.

See you guys in THREE WEEKS!!!

Welcome 2019 <3

I know one of the things I would do the summer before starting Wellesley was search through the Wellesley tags on literally every social media platform to see what I was getting myself into, so I thought I would introduce myself to the tumblr Wellesley community :]

My name is Cathleen! Hi! I’m a rising senior, House President of Munger, musical director of the Wellesley Widows a cappella group, and also a part of Cafe Hoop, Wellesley college choir and chamber singers, and also art model and usher in the art/music departments. Geez that was a long sentence. And I feel like you get that a lot from people at Wellesley but basically what it means for me is that I’ve been so lucky to find so many communities where I feel loved and therefore decided to stick with them.

I identify as pansexual, which for me means identifying with different sexualities at different times. Wellesley has been a really wonderful place for me to grow into that and feel comfortable. Especially as a ~highly femme~ appearing individual who used to sorry I wasn’t “gay enough,” Wellesley has been a place I can shit on those ideologies and realize how important it is to just be me.

Is that too long for an intro? Too short? Basically I just want to let you know that I’m here, I’m queer, and I would love to chat and answer any questions <3 WELCOME TO WELLESLEY YOU BEAUTIFUL CREATURES!
