sweetly: a post-it remix

7 days. 14 colors. 275 post-its.

My friend Kristina assisted me in making this project! I usually consult with her on most of my projects (what illustrations I should do next, colors, size, etc.), but this is the first time she has helped me (cutting & gluing) since our music video Somewhere in Brooklyn ^_^

This story and illustration was found in The Tiny Book of Tiny Stories Volume 3!

it’s an acanthus leaf, a common motif in decorative paintings and carvings. it’s generally agreed to represent regeneration and immortality. :) also it’s lovely

Sarah, ohmahgosh thank you. Niko and I were always obsessing over this particular feathered leafy pattern that was etched on this other thing we love. anyway, we both loved it but never agreed on what it was. forever he insisted it was a feather, i kept arguing it was a leaf, finally we agreed it was a feather leafy thing madodad. lol. and my gosh now you give me a proper name for it. hehhhe. thank you <3

Jules, Scar and Pammu i love you. lots of kisses and hugs xoxooxo

there is something sad about her, in everything she does. it tints her world and the way she moves with blues and silver, following her like a phosphorous after glow, just a hair out of synch. but it does not stop her. she wears flowers and she smiles, and her sadness is a building block that is merely the foundation of her architecture.

omggggg sarah. ;~;
