Introverted Intuition (Ni): From the first moment she met Emily Thorne, Victoria senses that there’s something off about her. Victoria is an excellent planner, who considers every possible contingency. Also, her ultimate goal, that she focuses all of her effort and time on, is keeping her family in power and out of trouble. Victoria prefers to be the power behind the throne and keeps her husband as a puppet ruler.
Extroverted Thinking (Te): Her inability to show true emotion makes her appear “cold” to her husband and her son, both of whom lead with their hearts. Victoria makes logical decisions to bring about what she wants, often at a cost to others (betraying Mr. Clarke, trying to shock her son out of bad behaviour, controlling her daughter to keep her out of trouble).
Introverted Feeling (Fi): While not outwardly emotive, Victoria does care for her children. In spite of putting their well-being second to her vision of their family being all powerful, she does have their best interests at heart. Victoria also likes to appeal to others’ emotions as a means of manipulation.
Extroverted Sensing (Se): Victoria loves the perks that her wealth allows her to have. She dresses well, throws extravagant fundraisers and genuinely enjoys being the queen of the Hamptons. However, she sometimes has trouble with being blindsided by unexpected events.
“We wanted to have the quintessential Victoria and the quintessential Emily Thorne looks when they had the shootout, so Amanda in her black hoodie, and Victoria in her classic sheath dress,” says costume designer Jill Ohanneson. “I also loved the element of the black and white to suggest—who is good, and who is bad?” (x)
