just had a thought: what if beca was actually in two relationships during pp2 - one with jesse, one with chloe? and they were all aware of it. what if that conversation at the pool party between jesse and chlo wasn’t just, she’s not here yet? i thought she was here. - i thought she was home with you guys. but more like: isn’t it your day with beca? - i thought it was yours.
What’s up, nerds! Just thought I’d share this Mashup that I made.
After watching Pitch Perfect and Pitch Perfect 2 back to back, I got very inspired to make this… I thought it would be pretty cool to have both ‘Audition’ songs combined into one.
Here’s a quick story.., These movies actually got me into creating Mashups and it has now become a passion that I hold deeply to my heart. I don’t know where I would be without it, so I’d like to thank Pitch Perfect for this.
Anyway, let me know if you like this and if you would like me to create anything for you. (Not promising you I can, but I’ll try my best! )
Jesse frowned, tossing his phone aside. He’d been somewhat
disappointed when his parents had asked him to spend the weekend of
his birthday at home with them. It wasn’t that he didn’t want to see
them, he did, but he’d been looking forward to spending the couple of
days with his girlfriend, and when his parents asked, his hopes of
that were dashed. A part of him had been hoping that she’d ask to tag
along, but he knew that wasn’t likely. Beca still struggled to put
herself out there like that, and she’d never met his family before.
He hated being away from her, but he hated even more not being able
to contact her. He had to admit that he was surprised that she hadn’t
called him already, after all, she had been just as disappointed as
he had been that they wouldn’t be together on his birthday, but after
a couple of minutes of waiting he’d tried calling her, only to reach
her voicemail. He’d tried a couple more times since then, but had
still had no luck.
He groaned, knowing that he couldn’t stay up here all day. His family
were likely waiting for him downstairs with a birthday brunch ready
and waiting. It wouldn’t be fair to them to spend the entire day
holed up in his room trying to contact his girlfriend, so he slowly
dressed, repeatedly checking his phone whenever he could. Nothing.
The announcement came from his mother the second he wandered into the
kitchen, immediately spotting the various foods littering the
breakfast table. He gave a weak smile, sitting down as neatly wrapped
gifts were placed in front of him. He was somewhat surprised when his
hand was slapped away when he reached for one.
“No.” His sister was grinning uncharacteristically. “Not
that one first.” His eyes narrowed, and he reached for a different
one, only for her reaction to be the same. “Not that one.”
“Which one then?”
She nodded towards the door, and he glanced over to it, catching the
knowing smiles of his family members, noticing for the first time
that he was short a sister. They were up to something, and he was
sure his missing sibling was at the centre of it. “Where’s
It was then that he heard it. A familiar whisper and a giggle,
shortly followed by Heather quickly stepping into the room, shuffling
over to the table and joining them. His eyes never left her, sure
that she’d slip up and he would figure it out. She rolled her eyes.
“Dude, you are so looking at the wrong person.”
His brow furrowed, and he turned, intending to look over at his
mother, his eyes being diverted before he reached her. “Beca.” It
was almost as if his breath was instantly taken away. “Ho…
He stood up, knocking the chair over as he did, and crossed the room
quickly, pulling her against him. “What are you doing here?”
“Happy Birthday.” She answered, offering no form of explanation,
but responding to his embrace, laughing when she felt him sniff her
